Please don't tell me that the Elf-People and their derranged cohorts the Orcs are going to start overrunning International Incidents. Lord of the Rings-type people are what made me stop posting (and reading) the Nationstates forum.
Why can't they find a site that is actually about fantasy things, rather than hijacking a site about real-world style RPs. I wonder whether they would be happy if I made a character on one of their forums (which doubtless exist) who flew a B-2 bomber and carried an AK-47. Doubtless they would be annoyed, so they should bloody well realise how inconsiderate it is to ram their derranged nonsense down the throats of people who are trying to run a real-world style country.
For the record: Lord of the Rings is the worst book ever. It is badly edited, and there are insanely long lengths of time where nothing happens at all, apart from that goblin-thing singing songs about absolutely nothing. The only thing about Lord of the Rings which is good is that the trilogy boxset makes a nice stand for my Harrier Jump Jet model.

real world!!! so space faring nations are REAL in the real world wow just cos ppl have LOTR style nations means jack you may notice there lots of different nations with UN REAL THINGS, and there are fantasy nations on the bord and guess what........no one cares.

Personally, I'd rather RP a Sci-Fi nation instead of a normal Dragon and Fairy Fantasy. Although I can deal with elf nations and such too.

You know, the LOTR Nations might not HAVE to be all medieval and Fantasy/Magic... I personally would find it hysterical to see an army of High-Elves loaded up with AK-47's and riding around in Tanks...

OOC: I'm a big LOTR fan. What if Saroun had tanks? What if the Felloship had M-16s and bazookas? If so Tolkien's Middle-Earth would have been interesting to say the least.

OOC-Everyone knows if LOTR was in modern times, humans would drop the atomic bomb on Eisengard. Because we're stupid that way. Also, all those waves of orcs could be solved with a Mama Deuce and some AP rounds.
