As the smoke from the first explosion cleared, the driver of the black 18-wheeler could hear sirens burst out across the city. The police had been severly handicapped, and would be no threat to the attack planned. The driver picked up his cellular phone and made one final phone call while stopped at a light near the capitol building.

"It's me, the truck is ready and in place" said the driver.

"Excellent." muttered the voice on the other line. "Your sacrifice will be honored and revered by all our people. Your family will be treated like kings!"

The driver wiped a tear from his eye, looking once more at the photo of his wife and two young children. It would be the last time he would see them. The light turned green, and the truck rumbled down the street and around a turn. The capitol buliding was now in sight, and the driver slammed on the gas pedal. The truck gave out two massive puffs of smoke from its two exhaust pipes, and the entire vehicle lurched forward. The driver set a timer in the cab for 30 seconds, just long enough to hit the building and detonate. A light turned red, and the driver of the truck kept going, as a small car smashed into the side of the trailer. That would not be enough to stop the mission, nothing would. The 18-wheeler came within range of the capitol, and the guards saw it. Shouting, they grabbed assault rifles and sounded the alarm. Bullets sprayed into the cab, and the blood of the driver splattered across his seat as his head was torn in two by a bullet. The truck continued, and slammed through the front gates and into the building. Just as the security guards turned to look at each other, the fertilizer bomb that had filled the entire trailer detonated.

Either way, that's a hell of a fertilizer bomb. The Oklahoma city bombing was done with a bomb inside of a van. This is an 18 wheeler packed with fertilizer bomb, there'd still be massive amounts of damage.

OOC: Alright, TBD, I guess your aircraft could just fly around my advancing ships and go for the landing craft, but your SSMs are out of range... I'm assuming 60 F-14s like a normal Nimitz does...

As the enemy F-14 screamed towards the landing craft they had to pass 2 gauntlets of fire. The first was the airscreen. 80 fighters total versus the 60 F-14s TBD put up. As the fighters fired missiles at each other the AEGIS crusiers and frigates painted the enemy fighters with their High Intesity Radar and fired SAMs. More than one TBD pilots last moment was spent listening to the target lock siren...
That being said, the Greenhome aircraft in the sky suffered losses too. Many pilots were downed when TBDs aircraft fired there Air to Air missiles. 13 F-14 Tomcats and 20 F-18 Hornets were downed.

On the ground, the fleet was under attack by the SSMs. The AEGIS ships valently tried to shoot them down, but still many got through.

"Damn, Admiral Stream shouted, how many? Are we still okay?"

Hell came to earth on the Landing craft. The troops onboard were mostly defenseless, but at least a few TBD aircraft were shot down by anti air guns. However casualties were immense:

many other assorted damages to the other units, but they are still fighting fit.

"NOW ITS OUR TURN!" Admiral Carl Stream screamed. The 6 battleships of the fleet as well as the crusiers, frigates, and destroyers had formed a battle line, a tactic not used since WW I. Now that they were in gun range they opened up with their guns. In an immense display of artillery not seen for 100 years every ship gave the TBD a broadside. The battleships themselves fired there 16 inch guns. Incoming shells filled the air. 51 1 TON projectiles slammed into the decks of the TBD fleet. And these shells were modernized, filled with C-4. (And thats just from the battleships!) Priority targets are the carriers, but the other ships were not forgoten. Also, all of the ships still had SSMs that had not been fired. These were shot at the shore SSM locations. At least 20 missiles and probably more like 35 slammed into the shore.

Ships in modern days are not built to survive a shell impact, as it is not a modern weapon. Therefor the shells should utterly destroy the TBD fleet, at the expense of all of the ships we lossed...

Throw the Dr_Twist Fleet a Loud Bell rang. Troops started Pouring into Landing Craft, Landing Ships and the Fleet Prepare for what is going to be seen as an Extremely Large Landing.

A 2nd Bell rings the Landing Craft Deploy from the Fleet, what is seen to be around 4,000 Landing Craft with an Estimated Landing force of 2 Million Heavily armed Troops.

As the Landing craft go towards the shore they are protected by Aircraft.

The SSM sites were protected by SAM sites, so the SSMs were shot down, exept for 7 that distroyed 4 SSM sites.

F-14s used to attack naval assets? total waste of good aircraft and men.
F-14s are dedicated air to air fighters with a very limited secondary LGB capacity, to use the LGBs you would have had to come well within rnage of an airdefenses which would eat the F-14s alive...
Your F-16s might have been a better choice as they can use soem stand off weapons but they aren't carrier capable.

Land based SAM sites are only marginally useful against criuse missiles and not really that useful against anti shipping missiles.

And finally your attempts at dazzeling people with your extensive military is really rahter silly, as it stands you can deploy less than 1 divsion of troops that to be honest is a bit tank heavy and seriously lacking in support units (a whole 20 SPGs!!!).
