As Elizabethshire planes of the 1st Airfleet descend on Cayo, Missile Batteries from All Ships at Sea begin to Launch Cruise Missles.

Missiles begin flying in as a great light show begins as literaly hundreds of missiles begin to take flight at Cayan Military Establishments.

Add to that and a refusal to accept peace with the Republic of Elizabethshire has made unfortunately, war necessary to free the world of nuclear scourage by a Rogue pirate.

The missile attack was expected, and defense missile centres were ready. Small costal towns did suffer badly, there were over 100 deaths and 200 injured. No missiles made it past defence systems to inland.




President Perez made a speech to a crowd of over 1 million in the Revolution Square, Cayo City,

"People of Cayo and our beloved Outer Islands of Hoko, Burro, Falos and Antigo. Elizabethshire appears to have forgotten that we signed a non-aggression treaty with Samos Island recognising her independance. Elizabethshire also appears to have forgotten that we held a refurrendum in Hoko and Falos, the two inhabited Outer Islands, and both islands voted to unite once again with Cayo.

As for the nuclear question. We have never used nuclear arms, and have no intention of doing so unless threatened with nuclear attack. Elizabethshire appears to believe we have no right to strengthen our defence, they WANT US TO BEND TOP THEIR WILL!

We shall not do so, we have gained the Outer Islands democratically and will DEFEND THEM TO THE LAST MAN! Cayans have fought and died many years ago for our freedom to persue our own policy, and we shall defend that right to the last man!

And the people cheered, flags of Elizabethshire could be seen burning, pictures of the Elizabethshire premier insulted. The crowd sang the national anthem in unison. In Hoko City and Falos Island the population viewed the speech and most were filled with anger that Elizabethshire did not respect their decision to unite with Cayo.

In Government House the General heard of the attack, and ordered an immediate counter attack. All bases world-wide were put on full-alert.

Currently, we do are not at full war capacity, so participation might be hard for us, so instead, we will offer humaniatarian aid and if you need them, give Cayo new MiG jet fighters.

We will also defend any Cayo ships, civilan or military in international waters should the ship need it.

DGNT offers any nation desiring it what it can spare of its transport network.
Only a little can be spared, perhaps enough to transport a few thosand troops, or a few hundred tanks, but if you want it, we will supply.

As a nation who stood up against the Babooska Government of Cayo, and subsequently made amends with the Perez Government of Cayo, we have ridden both sides of the line with Cayo Island. However, although we approve of nuclear disarmament, under the circumstances, we will not support Elizbethshire. Neither will we support Cayo Island. We wish to tread a neutral path in this conflict.

Consequently, Falastur would like to ask Elizabethshire and Cayo Island to resolve their differences, and seek a peaceful solution. We will gladly oversee the peace talks if both sides agree to this solution.

OOC And I'll point out that Cayo never annexed Samos Island, that was avoided, but it did annex the others.

We have Tu-95s that can transport troops and transport tanks, vehicles and more troops over civilian operated, government owned merchant ships and frieght transporters.

The 3rd Naval Fleet was out on patrol duty when an Urgent Messege came into the Radio Room coded. The messege was instantly decoded and rushed to Admiral Nimitz, The CO of the 3rd Fleet.

"Admiral" yelled PO Mitcher, "Cayo is under attack and we are ordered by General Williams to proceed to Cayo and assist in the defense."

"What else does it say?"

"Any Use of WMD, we are authorized to launch package 2."

"Ok! Bring the Fleet up to DEFCON 3 and proceed full speed to Cayo. Notify the other 2 carriers to have their planes on standby but launch ours for fleet defense. Tell the Cruisers and Battleships to prepare conventional missiles but keep some missiles on standby to convert. The Destroyers should be pushed out to prepare for submarine warfare. Send a messege to the subs. Tell them to prepare for sub-surface action. Also tell Special to prepare for action. Its about time we see what they can do under combat conditions. Understood?"

"Yes sir." Mitscher runs off to carry out the orders.

Seconds later, the klaxons sounded throughout the ship. Shortly there after, the first planes lifted off the deck and the fleet moves towards Cayo and a brand new war.

Official Statement from the Dominion of Samos Island

The people of Samos Island owe a great debt to the wise and benevolent President Perez, who only a few short months ago granted us the gift of self determination and independance. Yes, action would have been warrented prior to the ascendancy of President Perez, against the tyrant Babooska, but taking action now is like closing the stable door after the horse has ran away, and been replaced by a new and peaceful horse who lusts after neighbouring horses no more.
If President Peron truely harboured imperialist ambitions, why grant us independance? Why not simply crush our fledgling armed forces and occupy us? I shall tell you why: Because President Peron is no imperialist.
While our armed forces may be too weak to prove any use against the true imperialist Elizabethshire, we can send logistical support to aid our good friends in Cayo. As such, a small platoon of front-line combat cooks are preparing to head to Cayo to provide warm meals to the men and women who are doubtless already preparing to fight for their nations sovereignty, as we prepared to do in the face of Babooska's posturing.
Furthermore, our airspace and territorial waters will be placed off limits to any vessel or aircraft registered as being of Elizabethshire origin. We are prepared to utilise force if need be to enforce these restrictions.

In DGNT:
Colum after colum of troops and armour march through the streets of G'oaway, D'press'n and other major cities in DGNT, night and day, the civilian population seems more exited as well, children battle each other on the streets with toy rifles, making tiny parodies of the colums trundling down the street. Elizibethshire leaders are burned in effigy at intersections not occupied by troops and the DGNT flag flies proudly over the capitol buildings.
Long military mono-trains, seen from overhead, resemble giagantic white snakes, slowly making their way through the huge waste surrounding most cities in DGNT, aircraft patrols have increased as well, and it now rare to not see at least one formation from any building in any city. Lumbering supply planes are seen ponderously climbing into the sky, loaded with troops, tanks, supplies, and the other merchendice of war, hundreds of thosands of wives kiss husbands goodby (OOC: Im a sexist bastard, I know :P ), as the men march to war.

DGNT has activated its militia units to compensate for the loss of so many troops, and the informal soldiers can be seen on rooftops and at streetcorners guarding against infiltrators and spies.

Your attack upon Cayo is unjustified. As such our nation will embargo any goods currently brought in from your nation. Also, as there is a coalition of nations allying themselves against your forces it is highly reccomended that you pull back your forces rather than risk a war that could cost your citizens their lives.

The next evening after the attack, General Perez stands again in front of a huge crowd in Revolution Square, the speech is being transmitted all over the nation, and the world,

"People of Cayo, our allies, friends and the world,

Elizabethshire ignored our arguments against aggression, they opened the gates of war by launching a vicious, and unjust attack against us. Let us be thankfull that the missiles did not strike any major cities, but let us also mourn the death of those on our coasts.

I have maintained that we, the government of the People's Republic of Cayo and the Outer Islands, have done nothing that warrents such an attack. Did we not respect the freedom of the people of Samos? Did we not allow the people of Falos and Hoko to decide their own fate? Do we not have a right to expand our defences, to make Cayo ready to defend herself from nations just like Elizabethshire?

The support we have is symbolic of how just our cause is. Corneliu, Dontgonearthere, Benevolent Regions, Aztec National League, Automagfreek, Arribastan, Chochezkoo, Belem, and even Little Samos Island have all freely offered their support in our defence.

Let us thank them all, we are in great debt to all of them. Let us all hope that this war is short-lived, and as few people as possible die on all sides. May the spirit of the Cayan people go with all those fighting for our cause!"


The crowd in the square cheered at the General standing on the balcony above them. On the roof of Government House, dominating the Cayan City skyline, the flags of Corneliu, Dontgonearthere, Benevolent Regions, Aztec National League, Automagfreek, Arribastan, Chochezkoo, Belem, and Samos Island were all raised, with the falg of Cayo in the middle.

The electricity of the crowd was phenominal. For the first time in many, many years, the people of Cayo felt that they had the world on their side.

"General Perez is a good man. He knows what needs to be done. What is the status?"

"The 3rd Fleet is enroute. The 6th and 10th Fighter Wings are in route and the 5th Bombing Squadron is enroute. We have a full Army coming and about 5000 marines as well. All in all Ambassador. Our forces are ready to engage Elizabethshire."

"Good. Now notify General Perez that I wish to talk to him."

At Sea, The 3rd Corneliuan Naval Fleet continues to make its way to the engagement zone.

"Admiral Nimitz, we are now in Cayoan waters."

"Excellent. Take us up to DEFCON 2 and find the Elizabethshire Navy. I want a fourth of the planes in the air looking for them as well and the other half in the air over the fleet."

"Yes sir. Sir we also received word that two air wings and One bombing squadron has been dispatched to Cayo. We are also to run cover for the 1st Army and the 5000 marines."

"Good. Issue those orders to the fleet regarding the Army and the marines. I want them protected at all times."

"Right away sir."

One of which had also been mailed to Cayo and dialed General Perez's office.

15 Akula Typhoon Cruise Missile Submarines waited 50 miles off the coast of Cayo, and 100 miles from the Elizbethshire fleet,Waiting for the order to attack.

Presidential Quarters, Government House, Cayo City,

"General Perez, the Ambassador for Corneliu, a Mr Fox, has contacted your office wishing to talk to you."

"Very well, inform the Ambassador that he can come to Government House for a meeting anytime. I have no plans to go anywhere."

"Yes General, I will contact the Corneliu Embassy right away"

Perez looked around his office, now filled with phone's linked to different National Leaders, and a large, electronic map, showing satalite maps of Cayo. He placed his feet on his desk, and lit a cigar. Convinced that perhaps, just perhaps, the outcome of this war had already been decided.

The phone rang, it was an international call, he answered....

Presidential Quarters, Government House, Cayo City,

"General Perez, the Ambassador for Corneliu, a Mr Fox, has contacted your office wishing to talk to you."

"Very well, inform the Ambassador that he can come to Government House for a meeting anytime. I have no plans to go anywhere."

"Yes General, I will contact the Corneliu Embassy right away"

"Ambassador Fox. General Perez's office just informed us that you can have a meeting anytime."

"Good! Let them know I'm on my way."

With that, he left the office and walked downstairs to a waiting car that will take him to the Government House.

Cayo has my full backing in this war. Elizabethshire has no right to attack, and then present false proof of reasoning. 100,000 men and the 1st Air Fleet Division (100 Mig1s, 25 F16s, 10 B-1s) are en route to defend Cayo.

After declaring his disgust with The War in Cayo, Chairman of the Military's Supreme Board of Field Marshals, Commanding Generals and Fleet Admirals, Field Marshal Robert Joseph Jackson immedately called out the 1st Army and Civil Guards Capitol City Garrison and immedately had all the members of the State Council, Senate and House of Representives who voted for the War ultramatium.

The Capitol of Elizabethshire, Elizabeth's town is currently under Martial Law.

Acting Military Dictator Jackson also declared an end to all offensive military actions and recalled the 24th Fleet (Foriegn Reaction) back to Home waters. the Commander of that Fleet, Admiral Henderson has been retired in disgrace for not raising a voice to a "Clearly illegal order"

Jackson also place down the alert of the 4th Army which was mobilizing for Military Operations within Cayo. Jackson also declared that the New Provisional government would pay 20,000 Pences to the family of every deceased victim and upto 10,000 to every Cayan injured in the attacks.

However with the Imperial Nation's threat of war, Jackson immedately declared that all 200 Million of the Nation's capable men, from ages 14-65 were now elligable for Military service and Arms have been seized from Elizabethshire National Arsenal and other Arms factories in the nation. The New Leader also noted that the New Provisional Government may be willing to pay for any civilian structures damaged during the brief hostilities. He also refused to pay any money to the Empire saying "Elizabethshire, Will Use any force necessary to keep her land free. The conflict between the old government and cayo is over. the wrong will be righted. But there will be no expense spared to the people whom this war has effected, but the Imperial Empire of Belem does not scare us. And they will not gain'

Finally Jackson ordered all Units mobilized for a Possible attack, including the Nuclear Missile Batteries. Jackson is expected to ask permission to visit cayo to make an offical state apology.

OOC: Its not that, Cayo and one of the bigger nations, fine, but Whenever you have not one but two huge nations with bigger populations with me well.....its beginning to look a lot like WW2. Hitler never thought that the rest of the world might be stronger.

Shortly proir to this engagement, our close ally, and in fact, former province of our nation, Redhawks, with drew all but two warships from the region, believing that the conflicts had ended. Those two remaining warships had orders not to get involved with any conflict before contacting NavCom (Naval Command). Those warships have not been heard from since, and attempts to contact them have failed. Field Marshel Jackson, have you any info on naval engagments in the region. Both the Armed Republic of Redhawks and Horizon Island wishes to know the status of those vessels. It is possible that the ships fell victim to communication equipment failure due to age. Samos Island, have the two vessels returned to port at all? Redhawks would contact you directly, but that nation is currently busy hosting a international confrence, and most of their resources are tied up.

Also, Horizon Island pledges it's support to Cayo, should any support be required.

Well, It seems that crisis has been avoided yet again. We're going home guys.

The 15 Akula Typhoon subs have been taken out of the waters near Cayo.

News of Elizabethstown opting-out of the war spread quickly throughout the nation. Parades were held throughout the country, and the flags of all our allies flew high on Government House.

When he recieved the message, Perez ordered the military to reduce it's state of alert, and withdraw all forces from Elizabethstown.

Revolution Square was filled with people, well over a million. Police had to stop more from entering to avoid a crush. Cayan flags were waving, even some flags of our foreign friends could be spotted.

The crowd cheered when Perez stepped out onto the balcony of Government House, fireworks were lit on the roof, rum was provided in pleanty to the crowds, and a sense of comradeship and pride swept the city.

In Hoko City, Santa Maria, Cienfugos and all other major towns, people took to the streets. The whole nation was gripped in celebration.

Perez announced that a memorial wouuld be built. A statue of every national leader who pledged there support would be included in the new garden to commemorate this extraordinary union of nations.

"Admiral, Elizabethshire is standing down."

"What? I thought they were spoiling for a fight"

"They were until they realized what size our coalition was."

"In that case, stand down all military personal and have them return to Corneliu."

"Right away sir."

Ambassador Fox was enroute to the Government House when he got the word of Elizabethshire's withdrawal.

"Well this was better than I expected. They decided not to fight after all" He told his aid.

"It appears that way sir."

"Continue on to the Government House. Let us congratulate Perez in person."
