The Hawkings Direct Fire Missile System
Description
The Hawkings is designed to be a cheap, effective, and mobile direct fire missile system capable of engaging tanks, infantry, and aircraft, out to 10km. It uses the latest in missile and fire control technology to provide overwhelming fire superceding that of modern MBTs. It is manned by a crew of three, a gunner, driver, and commander seated in the main hull. The missiles and secondary weapons are housed in a unmanned turret. They enter and exit through a rear door that provides quick and unseen entry and exit.
Lethality
The main weapon of the Hawkings is the Common Modular Missile System. The CMM is a interchangeable family of warheads, guidance packages, and booster engines that gives one missile the ability to engage anything from tanks to aircraft.
The main anti-tank warhead of the Hawkings is the AT-B3, a specialized and powerful triple HEAT warhead that can defeat tanks fitted with reactive and passive armor. Also included are FRAG, Canister, gas, and explosively formed warheads.
The guidance packages for the missiles are extensive, there is laser guidance packages, infrared seeking, radar, visually tracking guidance systems, and even old fashioned wire guidance. There is also TV guidance with a direct link to the gunner's main screen. The packages can be mixed and matched to give the missile an even greater hit probability, a missile can home in on tank using a laser but also have a IR backup.
The booster engines can give the missiles a artillery missile profile, flying high and seeking for targets or for fast flying close quarter engagements.
The gunner and commander each have their own thermal sights, night vision, and normal with a x15 zoom. This gives the Hawkings the ability to engage targets day, night, or in bad weather.
Secondary weapons for the Hawkings is a 40mm gun that can fire APFSDS, or HE grenades. Also mounted are two 7.62mm guns
The Hawkings is linked across the AKIS (Ass Kicking Information System). All friendly and known enemy units appear on a GPS map and allows instant IVIS text communication between units. The transmissions are unjammable and listen in proof.
Survivability
The Hawkings is armored by the latest composite inflammable armor that gives the Hawkings and all around protection against 30mm slugs and anything lower. To provide protection against ATGMs light ERA and the Arena-C system are installed.
Also included is the WFWS (We're Fucked Warning System). This warning system has a instant scan radar to detect incoming ATGMs and a laser receiver. The system uses prismatic smoke, flares, and chaff to confuse lasers, IR, and radar systems.
Mobility
The Hawkings is powered by a 900 horsepower hydrogen turbine and at 23 tons it can reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. An advanced transmission and suspension system ensure it can neogotiate the roughest terrian and gradients.
Cost: 2.5 million USD
