Receantly my own 1 day old country was attacked by a much larger and scarier opponent. It is urgent that new nations form an alliancce to help protect ourselves. Signup here, then if you are attacked send me a telegram and I will try to find some help for you from other alliance members.
There currently exists an alliance for newer nations. It is called the New Nations Alliance (NNA - real creative eh?).
If you wish you may join this alliance, we guarantee your protection. Even though many of our nations are new, we do have a few larger nations to help us.

my ally Sancrist is in the NNA and as long as he is there and the NNA needs help they have it from a lot of alliances if he asks them to help

You might want to look at the Legion of Defense, they have protectorates (we are one), and you are not forced to give anything. When your nation grows, you can decide to become a Protector, but it's not even an obligation (tell them I sent you :D ):
