Yeah, tis one is long and stupid and doesn't have a form :( It works the same, I just wish it had a form to fill out. The other one disappeared'd.

Please...the pipian one is much better. It takes all of your info directly from the game so you don't have to waste time plugging anything in.

no no no. it does not take into account corruption or tax modifiers and i beleive that you can no longer just put in your nation name to calculate gdp

Its interesting in that the thracetaileann one gave me a defence budget of $6.5trillion while pipian gives me about $4.2trillian.

Of course either way i can well aford plentiful toys for my admitedly small for my size military.

because the pipian one is less accurate

I think the only difference might come in the form of how they handle the tax issue, according to the pipian system my national budget is roughly 50% of my GDP while while the other system assumes that my 71% tax rate comes directly off my GDP which is debateable.
personally they both work well and after the first 2 trillion of defence spending it just gets too much ;)

Quite frankly both of those calculators suck, because they fail to list the budget surplus (the part you have available for new projects/purchases). Thus that is left for the players to determine for themselves, and we all know that results in oversized budgets (or haven't you noticed the huge level of inflation on the storefronts? eg. tanks cost often over 10 times more than they do irl). What we need is one standardized system (I'd prefer it to be integrated into NS itself) that would take into account enough factors for it to be realistic and that everyone would use.

Actually most of the stuff you see in store fronts tends to be horribly under priced.

All I know is with the Old GNP Calculator, all I had to do is enter my Tax and My nation name, and in 5seconds I got my GNP, my Over all Budget, and my Military Budget...

It took me about 10min to enter all the Information for Huzen Hagen's

Not that it didn't work in the end, just, Wish we had our old one.

Looks pretty good, I like thaddition of corruption and tax rate modifiers. I agree that the pipan calc is far too simplistic, making it fundamentally flawed when you're dealing with big nations.
