The strictly religious population of Arila responded with horror at todays news from The Burnsian Desert. The arilan minority living there had already seen living conditions going backwards, with terrorists threats and executions in broad daylight, as well as drug gangs vying over power to control the government condoned hasj plantations.
Events came to a climax last night, when a nationwide announcement declared The Burnsian Desert a dictatorship. A terrified Bishop Vanderlin immedeatly made contact with the Arilan Council of Guidance.
While the council was still discussing measures to be taken, one of the members had a vision from the Creator. If the arilan minority wasn't evacuated immedeatly, they'ld be lost to the light forever... Not surprisingly, Arila immedeately sent it's nearest destroyer and all fishing ships it was able to confiscate towards The Burnsian Desert, safely taking it's people away.
Or so they thought.... Only when the "fleet" had taken to sea, did the the Creators vision reveal it's true meaning... The Dictatorship of The Burnsian Desert departed this region for Bowels Of Hell. Three of the slowest fishing boats, carrying a total of 434 innocent souls, couldn't escape in time, and were swallowed by the abyss.
We will never forget this dark day...
