Leon V. Brund, armaments minister: Well, it is not really all that new. That basic parts and design of it go back 60 years, but there is one addition that make the "Falcoln" Anti-Tank Gun extremely dead on target, no pun intended. This is the "smart" part, the aim is done by laser and the shell will follow the laser coordinates exactly. The shell itself also has heat seeking ability. Any questions?

Reporter from Western Europe: Will these weapons be on the open market?

Brund: Yes and no. They will be availiable in limited amounts only to buyers approved by the government of Elias Uber Alles.

Reporter from Jeruselem: Are rumours true that with the help of the Holy Empire of Ra Kanor, EUA is build nuclear weapons.

Brund: It is none of your business as to what action we take to defend ourselves, end of story. Good day to you all...

"Seems more like artillery to me" commented one Exoneratian General.
"Yeah," agreed another, "its much too large to be carried by infantry... I think this concept is intellectually bankrupt. It lacks the mobility of infantry anti-armor weapons, and lacks the power and range of traditional artillery. The worse of both worlds."

LETTER FROM THE ARMAMENTS MINISTRY TO THE EXONERATIAN GENERAL STAFF

One of your generals voiced his concerns about the design of the "Falcon" and its battle worthiness. I will admit that it look like field artillery, but it is this size in order to protect the user from in coming small arms fire and to protect the electronics of the "smart" systems used in the "Falcon". As to mobility, it can be pulled by 1 motorized vehicle, 2 to 4 horses, or 10 or 15 men. While the "Falcon" is not field artillery, we are considering modifications to make it serve that dual use. This weapon is by no means "intellectually bankrupt."

Just out of interest what calibre is the gun? the image seems to imply not more than 75-80mm...

For launching giuded muntions proper indirect artilery weapons such as mortars and howizters are more useful, the use of a giudance package in a decent direct fire gun is of minimal utility.
