The two men sit in the basement of the hotel behind a large table and laptops. One of the men looks down at his watch and then at the man besides him..
Think anyone will show?
I dunno...I thought at least SOMEONE would figure out our location...
Well like I said, we're not dealing with rocket scientist...
How true..but it's safer to "deal" at this level..
Well, just a few minutes left and no signs of anyone outside...
Well...if no one shows, perhaps the seller would provide a demonstration...
Mabey that's what it would take...I dunno, wan't some coffee?
Sure why not...I'll buy..

Steve rode up to the hotel in his Aston Martin Vanquish V12. He stopped at the front and exited his car. A valey parker came up to him. "Would you like me to park your car sir?" he said in an English voice.

"Sure, but if you scratch it, your dead." Steve opened his coat and reveiled a pistol. He brought out his keys. He popped the trunk open, threw the gun in, and closed it. "Here you go, park it good."

Steve continued to walk into the building and past security. He couldn't wait to see what lies ahead.

A limo pulls up to the hotel. One of the side doors open and a man hoped out.

This man is John Staines, he is wearing a very common bodyguard style suit from the shoes right up to the tie. As he hoped out he opened his suit a put away his mobile phone.

After getting out John goes to the boot of the limo, he put his right hand in his pocket and hits a button, which opens the boot. Inside is a fairly thick briefcase. He picks it up in his right hand, closes the boot and heads back to the door.

At the door John helps another man get out of the limo. This man is wearing a robe over his entire body. A hod is draped over his face so that what isn't covered by cloth is covered by darkness. The sleeves are long and go past his hands and the rest of the robe is draped across the floor leaving his feet covered.

After helping him out John led this robed man up the stairs and into the hotel.

The Healey had been sitting across the road for several minutes. The occupant's grey eyes panned one more time over the street before he was satisfied. He walked across the street into the hotel and checked in. After he put his belongings in his room he headed downstairs. Two gaurds appeared. Without a word Jackal put his Walther PPK in a box. He went inside to see several more people. He sat down and read the newspaper.

A car, faded red paint cracking, brakes slightly squeaky turns the corner, and pulls up in front of the hotel. After a short coversation inside, something like a large metallic praying mantis steps out, and daintily shuts the door. A moment longer, it surveys its surroundings, then skitters to the door, after a conversation with the guards, its left arm (A sort of bladed cutting tool) is removed and left with the other weapons.
"Do'nt scr'at'ch t'he pa'int, on pa'in of pa'in." it clicks, then walks into the door.

Nikolai Had arrived with his team earlier that day by helicopter and were now on their way to a supposed, "sale".

Nikolai Petrovich Gogol, Ivan Alexei Suvorov, and Oleg Gregoriyovich Provalov Walked down the sidewalk and approached the Hotel. They were all clad in black shirts and pants, with Kevlar underneath. Their hosts would likely complain about this, but they would have to deal with it.

They had gone through hell to be able to get this mission, but it would be worth it in the end.

All of them, were members of the dark and sinister, Chochezken Mafia, a branch of the Russian Mafia, except that the Chochezken Mafia had a Puppet senator, which made sure nothing too bad happened.

Nikolai Had a mustache and Goatee combination and earlobe length, greasy black hair.

He entered the Hotel Meridien first, and immediately recognized the large group of people already there.

So they were not the only ones coming.

These must be big people then, He thought. there were two men and a women then, He could not tell if the were working together.

As the group enters the basement cooridor, they couldn't help but notice the sweaty, overweight security guard "propped" up in the corner. The basement was a "vile", smelly place in part due to the guard and the other being the building itself. The chubby man stood up as fast as he possibly could before pulling the 1 inch "nub" of a cigar from his mouth. With one hand he reached for his belt in efforts to conseal his "butt-crack". With the other hand he lifted his hat slightly and stated with a giggle, "Musua hapn braka g'banwan". "Down the hall to the left", he added.

As the group reached the end of the hall, two men pointed them through a doorway. As they entered, the room was full of men in all black suites. Two men stood up from behind the table, "Welcome to the Congo, Gentlemen...Ladies", one stated. "Please have a seat", as he pointed to the empty chairs on their side of the table. "We will begin in a moment." With that said, the other men in the room began to distrubute small laptop devices...

One of the gentlemen stands while nodding towards another at the door. One of the men walked over and promptly closed the door.

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for coming today. I will try and keep this as short as possible. So lets get started...

The lights slowly dim as a screen drops from the ceiling and the bottle is displayed.
May I present you with no doubt, the world's deadliest virus. We will referance it as "X31". Portions of X31 were developed some 50 years ago, infact..one of the main compositions of X31 is an Influenzia known as the "Devil's Flu" or "Purple Death". This "modified" bio virus has the potential to inflict up to a 98% contamination rate. It works like this:

Once a person has been exposed, he remains an infectious carrier for 24 hours. During this time frame, the carrier will show some signs of the common cold such as; sneezing, coughing, runny nose, etc...Depending on the person, more severe signs may be present such as; vomiting, headache, and watery eyes. The virus tricks the imune cells into "feeding" them, thus the virus grows more deadly over time within it's host.

The transmission of the virus comes in form of air and blood-borne patagens. If a carrier would blow his nose, then dispence the tissue in the street, the patagens will come intact with a passer by. Even at the microscopic level, the virus will continue to work. After 24 hours, the carrier will nolonger be contagious but the symptoms will remain. The host will suffer a severe, full body shut down within 28-30 hours from first contact.

Now..be advised, this has not been tested for large populas contaminations. However, a single host managed to infect over 180 personell in a government complex. Our team has analyzied the virus and it is validified. I will answer any questions you may have at this point, but I am no scientist.

You now have 30 minutes to arrange for funds. There will be only 1 bid per nation. (TG me)...

If you mean vaccine or anti-toxin, there is none. This is an uncurable virus. Death is 100% certain for infections.

"Does the virus just keel over after a certain amount of time?" He asked again

It depends on the carrier and how many people he/she comes in contact with. The normal "course" of the virus will kill it's host within 30 hours, 12 of which are infectious. If a single person was exposed, decided to stay home, and had no outside contact...again he would be dead in 30 hrs. and he would not have transmitted it.

Every time a "micro-spore" comes in contact with a "fresh" un exposed host, the virus will spread throughout the person and thusly killing them as well. We estimate that the virus eventunally "burns-out" after numerious exposers. For instance, the first carrier will be more contagious than the 1,000th.

It is not our position to debate "what if's". It's plane and simple with no questions asked of intent. If your people are concerned about "release" then I suggest you submit a large enough bid to secure the product...

Caffeinneburg
18-01-2004, 07:50
His Grace the Archduke Mr. Chris VI, Defender of the Holy Smithsonian, Ruler of Caffeinneburg, had been told that the Hotel Meridien was world-renowned for its breakfast buffet. He had not been told that there was apparently some sort of convention being held there that weekend, or that the dining room would be so crowded. Threading his way through the crowd, he made his way to the buffet table, his entourage following as best they could.

Soon, the table was in sight. Fresh fruit, sausage links, bacon, Belgian Waffles (he shivered slightly at the terrifying memories the waffles provoked): this may not have been the Hagia Sophia of breakfast buffets, but it was certainly superior to anything the Best Western world had to offer.

Needless to say, the Archduke was quite taken aback when a large, meaty hand pushed him back, away from the buffet table. "Get to the back of the line, pal," a low, gravelly voice growled. The Archduke frowned, and looked at the man who had pushed him. Tall, broad-shouldered, scarred face, cheap suit, cheaper haircut: the man looked for all the world like a Generic Anarcho-Syndicalist Rent-a-Thug. So, in fact, did many of the other guests in the dining room. The Archduke idly wondered what sort of convention this was, exactly.

After a few moments, he shrugged. "No matter," he said, almost to himself. "Gunther?"

The large Caffeinneburgher slouching behind him snapped to attention. "Yes, my liege?" Gunther asked, staring straight ahead.

"Cut out that Warcraft crap, Gunther," the Archduke replied, also staring into space, speaking in a studious monotone. "Here's the deal. This strapping young peasant lad just laid hands on me. Without provocation, I might add. It would be best to avoid a scene, however, so if you'd be so kind as to elbow him sharply in the solar plexus in a manner which appears accidental, it would be greatly appreciated."

"Yes, milord," Gunther replied meekly, ramming his elbow into the Rent-a-Thug's guts with every bit as much force as one of Sultan Spicy's Day-Old Discount Tuna Wraps. He collapsed to the floor, every nerve ending in his body having been temporarily pressed into emergency duty as a pain receptor.

"Terribly sorry about that," apologized the Archduke. "I'm such a klutz. Ah, well, what can one do, eh? C'est la vie, and all that." He clapped his hands twice, and the rest of his entourage converged towards him. "I think I'd like to try the bacon, the hash browns, the. . . ah, who am I kidding? I'll have it all. Just bring it with us and we can eat once we're on the road; we're getting a late enough start as is." His footmen sprang into action, lifting the platters of food from the table as the startled guests watched.

The party of Caffeinneburghers briskly marched out of the dining room and out the front doors of the hotel towards their waiting motorcade, the Archduke pausing briefly to hand a thick stack of thousand-orichalk bills to a startled doorman. "Thank you, my good man. This ought to pay for the food, eh? We've had an excellent stay at your hotel, and I'll be sure to recommend it to all my friends. Have a nice day, and all that rot, eh?"

"With all due respect, sir," whispered Gunther as they walked away, "I don't think that was the manager."

"Oh, pish tosh, he had the fanciest uniform in the place! Look, the fellow's standing around all tarted up like the Archbishop of Aleppo, not doing anything useful. . . he's clearly the man in charge. Now, let's get going! And no more of your nonsense, do I make myself clear?" The Archduke sighed as he settled down walked smartly toward his car; good help was definitely in short supply these days.

As the horizon delegate left, he wispered into his collar.

Meanwhile, a group of helicopters track Mr. Jackel's vehicle to the airport. On the ground, a number of un-suspicous vehicles track him. At the airport, Mr. Jackel is just about to board the flight when he feels a pistol pressed against his back. A voice says to him, "Come with me and don't make a scene, we're watching you." Mr. Jackel suddenly becomes aware of a dozen men and women wear sunglasses amoung the crowd, all watching him, with their hands on what appear to be large camera bags. "So, shall we do this the easy way, or the hard way? I know you won't like the hard way."

Meanwhile, the men waiting at the pick up sight feel as if they are being watched...

Al Amarja
18-01-2004, 08:28
His Majesty the Sultan of al-Amarja frowned and looked over the luggage carts in the lobby of the Hotel Meridien. It seemed likely that much of his private baggage had gone missing, and there would indeed be a price to be paid over this mixup.

He adjusted the shoulders of his robe again, a sure sign of irritation, and turned to address Sultana Yasmin, his travelling companion during their hunt for the Awful Waffle Walker and also his sixth wife.

"My dear, it would appear that one of these infidel baggage-handlers has misplaced my valise. This is a worry," he said, looking around the piles of accumulating suitcases. "Our dear pet dhole is in one of them, and I do believe he's getting hungry."

The Sultana bit her lip and frowned, clearly disturbed by the prospect of one of their pets being lost in a pile of heathen garment bags. She appeared on the brink of saying something when a rising wail followed by a shriek echoed across the room.

"Ah, excellent, it looks like they found him," said the Sultan, snapping his fingers and strolling in the direction of the chaotic sound of snarls and screams. "Hut, Scylla, heel! You drop that arm!" He shouted, striding over to scoot the wild dog into the animal carrier.

A flicker of movement caught his eye, and turning to his right he saw the Archduke's entourage taking the contents of the breakfast buffet off through the front doors.

"Excellent, our friend the Archduke has secured our morning repast. Yasmin, please pay the man for his arm and get someone to load up the baggage, will you? I do believe His Grace has just given the doorman enough orichalks to buy a tank. We simply cannot be outdone on this trip."

With that, the Sultan placed a ten-thousand dinar note into the breast pocket of the bewildered doorman, shook the blood off of one shoe, and stepped into the carriage of the lead car of the motorcade, set for an enjoyable breakfast and visualizing the glorious defeat of the nefarious Awful Waffle Walker.
Molifodia
18-01-2004, 09:30
The President of Molifodia rushed in looking more disheveled than could be considered proper. The marching order had only come down within the hour and as such his departure had been thrown together amidst a drunken stupor.

Trailing him through the door were several fatigued aides carrying enough baggage to clothe any given third world nation. Fortunately the FCM did not concern itself with such trivialities. Pulling out a bill fold, the President stuffed two bills into the pocket of the nearest employee and demanded information.

"I'm looking for two men. They'd be easy to recognize as much like myself they carry more prestige than your pitiful excuse for a nation deserves." For good measure he smote the gentleman across the left cheek. The President paused, considered his move and stuffed another bill into the man's pocket.

Rubbing his cheek, the man replied that there indeed had been two such men. One had emptied the kitchen of all the food there was and the other had been following in pursuit. Furthermore, the two of them had set off not an hour ago with a certain pomposity about them.

The President thanked the man for the information and turned to leave. Quickly he stopped and turned around. He walked back to the gentleman he had questioned and punched him solidly in the gut causing the man to fall to the ground. The President quickly seized the bills he had given the man and put them back in his bill fold. He then turned back around and strode out of the building followed by his mismatched subordinates.

OOC: Damn! I knew it was too early to go to bed last night! :)

IC: "Oh well, its not like the Premier would want a virus anyway."
She flagged a taxi and went to the airport. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained..."

OOC: Sorry about that CF. However, your name was placed on the "contact" list. You may hear from somebody soon.

OOC: No problem. I'm not into biological warfare anyway. :)

IC: "What are the results of your mission?"
"Not too good, sir. Apparently the item up for sale was a highly infectious virus. I knew that the CF government doesn't consider biowarfare 'honorable' so I didn't place a bid."
"You made the right choice. Here is your payment for the effort."
"Thank you sir."

He had been delayed by Horizon at the airport but thanks to some help he got away. If they had held him up any longer each would have recived a .50 exploding shell from the Jericho in his suit case.
The Jackal had been sitting there for several hours. Nothing had come up. The Healey lay in some bushes and covered with a net. He kept an eye out for anybody. But he also thought someone might try to get what was his. He turned and checked the AN-94 next to him. He kept looking down the road. Jackal then saw a car in the distance, coming to him.

OOC: Why is it that Dec '03 and Jan '04 nations insist on telling you what your actions were..... and on buying WMD.....

The truth about the airport situation, you would've been cut down from 6 diffrent directions if you had even flinched. I thought that was clear in my post, but it obviously was not clear enough...

Why do I even bother RPing with Dec '03 and newer nations.... Would have been more interesting RP if you had stated your actions and given me time to reply....

OOC: Likewise I'm certain. The ride was provided by me, and at the slightest intrefearance, you too would have been cut down. This meeting only happened because the local military and law enforcement were paid quit well. However, consider yourself lucky that your not rotting in a Congonese Prision.

Jackal walked a little ways towards the man. Jackal didn't see any one else but he was still supsious.
"Yes, I'm Jackal. I want it to go clean. Give me what I ordered. I promise you that we won't use it against you or any other nation. When I get what I want we just drive away and forget this ever happen. Okay?"
