A message to all Stalinist nations
The Stalinist Union

Comrades,
I am Grand Colonel Joseph Gray of the Stalinist Union, a proud member of the Alliance of Stalinist States. I speak to you today with a request. A request for all Stalinist nations to join the glorious Alliance of Stalinist States so that we may have a unified Stalinist region. The Alliance is a region with already 23 Stalinist nations. Stalinism is the path to pure Communism, comrades! Only under the strong-will of Stalinism can we hope to survive against capitalism, imperialism, and fascism! So comrades, join our region so that we may live wonderfully in our Stalinist region. Unification is the only way! For Stalin, comrades!
Also, I would like to address the world community by stating that this recruitment is by no means an attempt to threaten world peace. The Alliance is merely trying to unite all Stalinist nations under one banner.

Thank you for the tag. Hopefully there will be at least one nation willing to join the Alliance.

OOC-So you look up to and support a man who initiated the second largest genocide in history?(Only behind China) If you were merely a communist or socialist government, I'd express support. However, Stalinist Communism is quite possibly a worse evil than fascism (And I count myself as a socialist voter) I issue strong condemnations. And as for the anti-capitalists part- Give it up. They're not out to get you. Anyone who mumbles that rhetoric is just an embarressment to the Socialist cause, spreading myths among the general public.

That made no sense at all.
WHAT?!?!?!
That made no sense at all.
i mean about stalin killing millions of people.. anyway it belongs in General section.
OOC: Point well made, Trotsky was the path to pure communism, Stalin fucked up the one chance the world had at it.
IC: You are a grand region, and I'm hoping for my region to ally with yours. I don't know how good the terms of the alliance are working out, I started the attempt when I was the UN Delegate for my region, but I was soon by-passed by another who continued the terms.

Trotsky? Trotsky was weak and incapable of modernizing the Soviet Union. His policies were not good policies. Stalin, on the other hand, industrialized the Soviet Union to the world's third leading industrial power in just ten years. That is quite an accomplishment. I care not for the genocides Comrade Stalin is responsible for. He did what he had to do. Stalin expanded the red banner across half of Europe and influenced many communist movements in other nations as well. Stalinism is the only way for success, comrades! For Stalin!

OOC: this makes me sick, and personally I interpret this as that you are not only endorsing, but grouping yourself with the slaughter of an unaccountable number of innocent people, not just men, but women and children.
To be Stalinist is to be committing crimes against humanity, and i believe this could cause great offence to the millions of people still suffering today because of the regime you seem to praise.
Stalin failed to industrialise Russia. His 5 year plans were total failures and amongst his slaughter of 26 million people (proven guilty or not, mostly not) it makes him just about the most tyrannical leader in history.
Communism was doomed from the off. The reason is simple: there is no incentive. While in capitalist nations a worker can earn more for working longer and harder, under communism you were paid the same as the person next to you; regardless of how much more work you may have done in comparison to the other worker. It is little wonder that productivity was lacking because there was a mentality that working harder was not worth it because you gained nothing. Remember, greed and aspiring to greater things is the nature of human beings.
Without incentive, Stalinism and Communism were doomed. This was proven by Russia's inability to survive against the industrial might of capitalist America and their obsession with weapons of mass destruction. People queued for food on a daily basis which was little different to the days under the Romanovs pre 1917.
Russia was never an economic force to be reckoned with, but more so a military force. They took the resources from East Europe, which impoverished millions more and built an unsustainable USSR. Communism does not work, and frankly the leaders like Stalin and Lenin enjoyed the comforts of palaces and good living just like the Tsars whom they supposedly opposed. It is hypocrisy.
For those nationstates which want to prosper and grow economically without the history of genocide on your hands, then do not join this alliance.
Sigh...
I guess every despotic tyrant looks up to Stalin...
But no one can ever match him in terms of pure evilnessness.
Anyone here a fan of Brezhnev? Anyone?
Not a fan of Brehznev, but I will give him credit for at least trying to cooperate with the free world. SALT was a stepping stone in the right direction, one of Nixon's better memories. Brehznev was willing to see reason as join up.
