Hello, I'm Rachel Smith.

Earlier today, the CSA has announced plans to build Corneliu's first starbase in orbit. The design is still classified but what we have just learned, this station will allow the building and docking of Spaceships. It will also be used as a stepping stone to the Moon and Mars according to the CSA Director.

"This is a big step for Corneliu. With the resources starting to come together for our space adventures, it is becoming cheaper. However, this starbase that is in the works will be expensive to build. Very Expensive. We are confident though that the people will pull the weight necessary for this project to be accomplished."

That was the Director of the CSA.

In a related item, the Manned Space Program has also taken another turn with the 8th space launch. This one is longer than previous and is suppose to last for one whole week.

Down at the launch site.

"Sir, our first launch is now minutes away. You excited Captain?"

"Yes I am. This brand new ship that has now been built for this type of use is terrific. The CSA did a great job. Yes it is not advanced, but it is able to launch the first piece of our station. In a couple of years, they say we'll have a ship capable of doing more than launching pieces and trying to assemble them."

"Sweet. Well now sir, I think we should board and settle in for the ride."

The enter the ship and on time, the ship launched into space with the first piece of the starbase.

With the StarBase Coming along, A new prototype shuttle rolls off the construction line to assist. It is now time for a test drive.

"You Ready for this Commander?"

"Yep, let us start the test of this ship. The faster we get this done, the faster we can use it in our starbase construction.

As the entered and strapped in, The prototype shuttle prepares to lift off.

At zero, the shuttle lifted off and headed into space.

Right on cue, the ship seperated from the propulsion and made it into space.

"Alright people, we are now in space. If you look straight ahead, you can see the starbase being built."

Update: 5 pieces of the Starbase are now being connected.

Early today, the CSA has announced that the skeleton of the StarBase is coming along fine. The deployment of the new type of shuttle can now bring up two beams at a time instead of the normal one. The CSA has also announced today the developement of another type of space ship. This ship will be used in the construction of the Starbase. The name is still not yet released. The Truck, the name of the ship will be able to haul up three of beams used in the construction.

This is truely a great day in the Corneliuan Space Agency."

At that moment, the camera pans to the launch site on the Isle of Rogue. The shuttle on the launch pad lifts off with 2 more pieces for the starbase

Another shuttle has lifted off today heading for the Starbase that is under construction. These pieces are destined to be part of the main support structure that'll make up the base of the Starbase.

UPDATE: 10 Beams are now inplace with 4 more being added

The first Corneliuan Starbase is starting to take shape.The skeleton is now starting to look more like a proper starbase and the beams are now going up regularly. According the CSA, they expect to begin working on the inside part of the station in the next few months. They are also reporting that the skeleton is now 35% complete and they are hoping to have it over 50% by the end of next year.
