How to dispose of nuclear waste...

Although my nation is as we speak making many changes to its ways of servicing the people in terms of electrical power. (switching to more renewable sorces such as hydro-electicity) We still have many nuclear power stations as it was seen as a quick way to gain much energy, however now we have seen our errors in disposing of the waste. We dont want this is out land, we thought about disposing it in space, however the chance of there being a malfunction in it being transported there and dumping nuclear waste on my nation was to great. Suggestions welcome aswell as deals in my waste in you're country for money. Thankyou.

What kind of waste? If it is plutonium, we will take it off of your hands for free. We use plutonium to power our tertiary nuclear reactors.

How would you suggest we transport it to you're nation?

Well, if you are an earth nation, we would send large freighters (well shielded with lead) to retrieve it. We would continue to do this until you run out of waste to give us.

Crookfur civil engineering has an established track record in nuclear waste managment and reprocessing.
We offer full reprocessing and disposal storage facilities for all types of nuclear and radioactive waste.
We have teams specially trained in the removal of material from any site (including emergency clean up and reactor decomissioning projects).
Material would be placed inside specialist storage drums which would be then securely placed inside sealed super hardened transport containers. which would be loaded on a military transport vehcile.
These vehicles would then travel with a fully military escort (provided by yourself within your borders) to the nearest port and then by sea on baord a dedicated military transport ship (with an escort group of 2 frigates some corvettes and a light carrier) to a secure facility within Crookfur.
Doujin's nuclear reactors also recycle spent fuel, making the end product void of radiation. If you wish, we could recycle your fuel for free(as it would provide power for us). We could pick it up immediatly by ship, if that is ok with you. (both plutonium/uranium)

I would actually suggest you reprocess it by closing the fuel cycle, and that you adopt Generation 3 or 4 as your standard, rather than Gen 1 or 2 N-plant tech.
A Gen-4 won't melt down if the internal power goes out-it'll just stop working as gravity and metallic expansion lower the density of your fuel rods, while pulling them away from one another. Waste can be safely reprocessed several times over, and the resultant slag at the end of the reprocessing cycle is much, much, less hazardous, and has a far shorter half-life, than what is currently being accumulated by users of Hanford-N style reactor complexes (the type typified by Chernobyl and Three Mile Island).
Your only real problem is the product of closing the fuel cycle-Plutonium, which may be viewed by lesser nations as a de-facto weapons programme.

yes, thats fine, but there are some....ah....problems. You see like many nations im sure, we have been suffering from certain terorist attacks. And we have intelligence indicating that one specific group has been trying to capture nuclear waste to create a type of bomb. If they were unable to get hold of it they would most likely try to use it to cause as much damage as possible to the area it was. There would need to be the highest level of security, I am not willing to risk lives for this.

The Incorporated States of Exonerate would like to openly balk at the impracticality of doing this. According to our calculations, a pound of uranium produces less energy than the amount needed to put it into space, much less transport it longer distances.

Then choose the Crookfur option.
We can even send a specailly trained battalion of troops to escort the convey and gaurd your port facilities.

The United Soviet Socialist Republics of Central Facehuggeria would like to openly laugh at Exonerate's misnuderstanding. Central Facehuggeria would send Naval Freighters! Not space freighters. We don't have any space freighters (yet...)
