OOC: I've been looking for a way to remove my prime minister for awhile so I figured that I might as well get the participation of some other states. Note: other participation is limited to a representative of your nation attending the conference and watching the speech/shooting. Due to South Dalanian military procedure, your bodyguards will all be disarmed prior to entering the building anyways, so there won't be a chance to do any shooting on your part. If you're interested, just jump in
IC:
The recent negotiations between Dra-poel and South Dalania had been key in opening up relations between the two nations. Developments between the two nations had almost broken the deadlock at Panmunjom and although there was still considerable tension between Communist Dra-poel and capitalist South Dalania, there had been considerable progress made in the peace talks.
A large part of this recent success was due to the efforts of one man within the South Dalanian government. Prime Minister Edward Choi, at thirty-four, the youngest man ever elected to the office, had been responsible for taking a stance against the division between the two nations. Ignoring loud protest from the hardliners within the government as well as the military, he had taken a softer stance with Dra-poel, opening up new contacts and even offering to visit the northern communist state on a goodwill mission.
Today he was scheduled to speak once more to the South Dalanian legislature as well as to the world on some more future plans, plans that might eventually lead to reconciliation between the two countries. Dozens of world diplomats had been invited to attend and television crews crowded the area.
Security had been heavy, but one young man had managed to slip into the building during a security check. Dressed in the dark blue uniform typically worn by South Dalanian high school students, the young man slipped inside, hugging the shadows and staying hidden in the darkness.
For he was here to kill the prime minister...
