Today the Dominion of Skager is in a state of chaos. As of 12:14 today, a state of martial law has been declaired and the military is operating in the capital city of New Toronto.

The actions which prompted this reaction was a armed insurrection in the capital. A local anarchist group attacked numerous government buildings, including the parliment. The attacks were conducted with sutomatice weapons, firebombs and Molotov cocktails.

Local authorities are advising that forgien embassies consider evacuation, as with forgien tourists.

Already, at least three dozen people have been reported killed and many wounded. The revolutionares continue their advance....

We have taken New Toronto in order to create a safe haven for criminals, anarchists, terrorists and all others in trouble with the "law". For the attention of Elizabethshire-
We thank you gratiaouly for your kind offer and accept whole-heartedly. We too hope to open more trade routes and establish connections. A trade agreement and such can be worked out at the conclusion of this conflict.

On the question of military power. We will allow unrestricted flow of military traffic into the Dominion and ask that units be set up around New Toronto to prevent the spread of chaos.

Again, this help is much appreaciated, as we will show at the conclusion.

The Federal Republic has watched with feigned interest the developements in Skager as of late, however the takeover of New Toronto has startled many in the Republic, following several protests in the former lands of italy II, supposedly instigated by Anarchist, Communist, and even Fascist groups. Many believe that if the Government does not act to quickly aid the legitimate government of Skager, then what hope does it have to keep the domestic situation under control.

Therefore the Senate, even polarized between the Popular Front party and "No soil, no blood" party, met early Tuesday morning to discuss the Republics response, and surprisingly, almost unanimously and swiftly authorized the President the right to deploy Federal Military Units overseas to Skager should he deem so necessary, and have approved a section of the yearly budget be set aside to aid in the funding of deployments and bouying the Skager government.

With the nod from the Senate, President Thomas Reinhardt quickly wired the Republic's diplomatic corps to ask to open negotiations with the Skager government to discuss exactly how the Republic can aid in this crisis. Immediately thereafter he ordered the mobilization of the II Corps (80,000 combat effectives) to prepare for boarding at Corregidor Naval Command to be deployed overseas, and the XIX Corps (Similar) to mobilize as a reserve should more soldiers be needed. This represents nearly 1/10th the combat effective force of the Army (For one, I'm a naval nation, two, I drastically prefer quality over quantity, my soldiers are extensively trained and professional).

And of course, the Navy is to be involved in the aid package. A squadron of some of the most powerful ships available in the theatre of Corregidor's Command sector are being assembled in the port to steam out ahead of the troopships to immediately aid the Skager government, should they request aid.

The President and Senate are eagerly awaiting the response from Skager.

The Sword and Sheild- Your assistance is greatly appreaciated. We can use all the troops we can get. Please deploy them in an area ready to enter the city.

As far as the insurrection goes, the rebels have made process. They have captured more buildings towards the city centre despite resistance by Skager troops. More have been called upon to aid the defence.

The following statement has been issued by the revolutionaries-

To the governments of The Sword and Sheild and Elizabethshire: This isn't your fight. Your troops don't want to be killed in the defence of the wrong path. If you don't remove your troops, they will be killed and your turn will be next. This is your only warning.
