GETA is an organization for the benifit of its members, following the three X's.

Of course, those familiar with 4x stategy games know there is a fourth X but it has been removed because of public relations problems.

The goal of GETA, is to explore the galaxy in search of planets with commercial or industrial applications, such as radioative deposites, rare minerals, or other assets. Once discovered the alliance builds the mines, panels, or whatever it is that is needed to gather the asset, and distributes it according to participation in the project amoung the alliance. During the explotation of the assets the planet will (unless it has been already) be colonized by alliance members, and divided evenly amoung those who invested in the planet.

Constitution:
Native Sentients Protection Policy:
One of the prime rules of the Alliance. If a planet has a species that is either sentient, or close to it, that species MUST be protected. If at all possible, it will be aided to space travel and givin all the rights thereof. If it is either aggressive or does not desire such advances attempts will be made to isolate it until our work is finished and we depart. If the species presents a threat to the galaxy in general it will be destroyed for the betterment of all. If a pre-sentient species is discovered it will be avoided, and once the work is finished all the traces of the work will be removed as best possible.

Flora/Fauna protection policy:
The Alliance will take care to avoid causing the extinction of species, when possible non-polluting methods will be used. Though all must admit that industrial development has inevitable casualties, these will be minimized.

Distribution policy:
Once a planet with valuable assets is found, marked and scouted, an announcement will be made, and investments may me initiated. Basicaly, a contribution of material or currency.
Raw or processed goods will be delivered annualy on a scale depending on your investment, EX: You invest $2,000,000,000, you would get about that amount annualy, with excess being divided equaly amoung all investors. (there is a minimum investment, since a member could conveivably donate three cents and get a return many times that if there is much excess, this value will be up to the judgement of the Alliance)

Trade Policy:
Alliance trade/delivery ships will not be subject to tarrifs, taxes or other forms of fine upon entry into member nation ports. Violation of local laws is the responsibility of the pilot himself. If a pilot is arrested, please contact GETA and inform us, so that a replacement may be dispatched.

Smuggling/theft policy:
Smuggling and/or theft of GETA property/minereals (The goods are considered GETA property until they arrive at a member/buyers port) will be punished by the strictest means possible.

Military policy:
Alliance members will not engage in overt or covert actions against each other, there is no mutual-defence policy, simply non-aggression.

Leadership:
There is no 'leader', things that members wish to change are voted on, the majority vote carries. Voting will be of the 'post Yea or Nay' type since polls are easy to rig.

OOC:
Yeah, just an idea. Im thinking that members can submit claims for planets they 'found', these will be verified (IE: If its not a solid platinum planet with a plutonium core that is easily mined) and I will post it.
Overall I think its a great way to work up a profit and gain a little territory.

Anyway, it is rather communistic, isnt it? But hopefully it will work, and everybody involved will profit. Know that DGNT is far from communist, we prefer a capitolistic system, since the people keep themselves down.

NO, not really. The GA wasnt an economic alliance, there is no military involvment in any way, just because the alliance isnt 'led' doesnt make it a ripoff, in any case, after all, you 'led' the GA whether you liked it or not.

So? I happen to like the word Galactic and it is an Alliance, anyway, the GA doesnt exist anymore (And even if it does, its inactive).

I was joking around, it's almost impossible to not use the words "Galactic" and "Alliance" in this thing, since one word refers to who its membership is available to and the other to what it is.

We are interested in this alliance. We have taken our first steps into space in conjunction with our major allies, and wish to begin expansion of our space program.

Xeraph is the de-facto ruler of ARM ( Alliance Regioni Militaria ) comprised of 84 nations in 9 regions. We are further aligned/allied with 7 other alliances of which GAPTS ( Grand Alliance of Peace through Strength ) and the Federated Suns are our primary allies.

We would like more info as to what is expected of all who join this alliance.

Basicaly the alliance is an exploration/trade agreement, everybody shares their discoveries, reports them to GETA central (this thread) and offers contracts. See my post about a planet in Pax for the stats needed for a planet.

Of course, there is a non-agression pact as well, mostly because I dont want people blowing up GETA transports or anything.

Pax, yes. I am posting it so that other nations can 'invest' in it, GETA (as an organization) will purchase material to mine and otherwise develope it to profit making capacity, once this is done you may continue to invest until the maximum development is reached (IE: The planet is nothing but mines), this can be done since this planet has no native inhabitants, no life forms and no former alien civilizations on it.

Pax I is open for investment, no new planets have been found due to inactivity.
