Cayan Voice of the Worker Report.
The people of Cayo thought democracy had died under the dictatorship of Pepito and then the so-called socialist rule of Babooska. Now General Perez appears to be interested in genuine reform and economic stability, which is much welcomed by the people.
The following reforms have been announced by the General:
1) The Cayan People's Parliament shall be re-opened. All of Cayo's 200 political areas plus the two populated Outer Islands shall be allowed to vote for a representative at the parliament in Cayo City. Any person may stand for election within their area.
2) All hospitals, clinics, dental surgeries and opticians shall be placed under control of the Cayan People's Health Service. All citizens will be entitled to free healthcare.
3) All public transport, utility, education, housing and banking services will remain under control of the state.
4) Cayo will persue more active participation within the United Nations.
5) Citizens will now have the right to practice religion in private.
6) Military spending will be frozen at the current rate for the time being.
7) The Cayan Law shall be reformed to encompass children's rights, racial issiues, drugs crime and domestic violence.
8) Private enterprise will be allowed to establish in Cayo if supported and monitored by the government.
9) A modernisation of Cayo's nuclear program to improve safety will take place.
10) The death penalty will be reviewed.
