Emperor's controversial announcement applauded worldwide

13-01-2004, 04:26
Emperor Tamazoid I, ruler of the Holy Isochronous Empire has made an announcement of several new laws, which unexpectedly have been applauded by his loyal subjects and several countries from around the globe.

Effective immediately, economic embargoes have been placed on all extremist Islamic countries which support terrorism and have mosques which preach messages of hate. The list includes Saudi Arabia among various others. The tiny Muslim community in the Empire has also been individually been issued notices to state their case as to why they shouldn't be deported to the Middle East by the end of February. This action was taken due to the uncovering of several sinister terrorist plots against the Emperor and other key buildings and installations on Isochron soil, and that of overseas allies.

Due to several gays trying to enter the country as refugees, homosexuality has been criminalised in the Empire. This was not necessary before since they few homosexuals in the Empire kept it in the closet and did not push to be able to have children or marry. The new law allows current gays to remain in the country, however any gay immigrants will be turned away.
