Air Force


The J-XX - China's J-XX program is their most ambitious fighter program yet. For years, people have called China's airplanes carbon copies of Russian models. This is not true. The J-XX will change that. A 5th generation stealth aircraft, the J-XX will provide a counter to the US F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Early testing reveals an airframe similar in appearance to a MiG-29 that engaged in unscrupolous behavior with an F-22.

Specs are much unknown. Therefore, I shall have to make them up when I finish development. Chinese nations of the world - _Taiwan, the only one I know - help, and you too will gain full rights to the J-XX...or, as it is to be named, the J-14.



JF-7MF

Another multirole fighter program, the JF-7MF will be viewed by many as ... old. In a sense, that's correct. This aircraft simply isn't in the same league as modern ones. But they are by no means old. Their avionics are decent and advanced, their performance capable, and their cost? Very cheap. So for those of you third-world nations, nations just starting out, or for those who need a lot of fighters at once...presenting, the JF-7MF.

Powerplant: One afterburning 21,250-lb turbofan engine
Performance: Max speed Mach 1.8; ceiling 55,000-ft
Armament: Internal cannon, six wing hardpoints capable of a variety of missiles, fuel tanks, ASM's, or bombs, centerline fuel tank.

Price: Only $14 million


JF-17/FC-1

Yet another multirole programme, the JF-17 (FC-1) is similar in many aspects to the JF-17MF. A light, cheap, yet capable fighter, the JF-17 is an alternative to the JF-7MF, only this is more Russian-based.

Avionics and engine are all Russian-based; in addition, this aircraft received much influence from the Russian MiG-33 (MiG-29M/K) programme.

JF-10 ATF

Quite the contrast from the fighters you've seen thus far, the JF-10 is a much more advanced fighter. Fifteen years of strenous design led to a fighter that could more than match Mirage 2000's or F-16s. In fact, work initiated in the 1980's to counter the MiG-29 and Su-27.

Originally associated with the Israeli Lavi programme, the J-10 evolved since the Lavi was cancelled in 1987. Its role as a multirole fighter grew, whereas the Lavi was more of a short-range combat air support and interdiction plane. Israel continued avionics work, while China acquired key technologies from the United States.

The J-10 can engage in air-to-air combat efficiently BVR (Beyond Visual Range), strike ground targets from medium or low levels, and attack ships with anti-ship missiles such as the US Harpoon/SLAM-ER and the European Exocet.

The J-10 has eleven stores, plus the internal cannon (a 23mm cannon). Six are under the wing, four are in the fuselage, and one is under the centerline. Not only can the J-10 fill many roles, it can fill many roles at the same time.

The all-aspect thrust vectoring version will be fitted on the JF-10: the AL-31F, which can make for short take-off and landings (STOL) with 60-70 degrees thrust vectoring.

Maximum speed is Mach 2.2; crew is one; engine is one (as aforementioned). Keep bugging me and I'll add a naval version.

Price is $23 million.



Based the Su-27, the JF-11 takes the successful Su-27 and boasts many improvements. For example, westernized avionics systems, increased fuel load, and more stable landing gear.

Capable of carrying twelve air-to-air missiles and two ECM pods on the wingtips, the JF-11 also has an interdiction role, in which rocket pods and bombs can be fitted to its various hardpoints.

The JH-7A is a fighter bomber for both the air force and the navy. It is an excellent, cheap fighter-bomber in its own rights, and by our modifications, is even more formidable. Avionics have been wholly upgraded; the engines have been changed and refitted, and the chaff/flare system improved. Performance is generally much better than before.
