Truro Nuclear Powerplant: 2:35am 12/01/04
All 12 reactors had been running at full pelt for the past 24 hours without a problem producing power for the Whole of exetonia. Alan Green, the director of Exeter Nuclear Power (ExNP) was most delighted with what was going on. Tonight however, was the safty check of reactor number 4 and he, was to oversee it.
Reactor 4 control room: 2:37am 12/01/04
Gregor Zitchezky was given the go ahead for test running. He immediately began to cool down the reactor and release the rods. Everything went swimmingly. Gregor informed Alan Green that the testing could begin.
Exetonian Power Center, Exeter City: 2:55am 12/01/04
Victor Herrgrass was sitting at his console watching all the blinking lights when he noticed a big black spot in his sector. The small power plant outside of Plymouth city had shut down du to a mechanical failure and more power would need to be found. Since all the others were running at there limits, he turned to his supervisor and got permission to phone the Nuclear power station in Truro.
Truro Nuclear Powerplant: 2:56 am 12/01/04
The phonecall from victor was recieved. Alan sent the order to his staff in reactor 4 to switch back on.
Reactor 4 control room: 3:00am 12/01/04
Gregor Zitchezky recieved the call with a dull feeling in his heart knowing how risky this was. He stopped the procedure and began the reverse procedure. Suddenly, a claxon sounded. 24 of the 128 rods had lowered far to quickly and were begining to superheat the reactor. He shut it down but, the heat was still radiating. Un beknown to him, the coolant system was failing.
T-Minus 5 hours to disaster. Who wants to help
(ooc: can anyone say chernobyl?)
