As we have no choice, our Treasury is dangerously low and we must have a steady income. Therefore, we will incourage hashish production in our country until our treasury is balanced.

I do not recommend that you do that. Columbia was in a similar situation, and turned to drug production. It got so big and powerful that the Columbian Government lost control over the industry, and now is is civil war, the factions competing for the drug fields.

I will pledge you $1 Billion in aid if you stay out of the drug industry.

If you want I will send in a few of our top financial advisors to help recover your nations economy. They already know how you could recover your economy without needing drug industrys

How much can they recover in how much amount of time?
Austar Union
12-01-2004, 07:29
They can recover your entire economy within 12 months. The method is not exactly popular. It will mean your citizens will have to suffer a small amount of poverty, but we will provide aid to look after your citizens during the next 12 months.

Suddenly, a shot rings out. The Queen, with Mr. Pezzerly still shaking her hand, fell down into the hot desert sand.

"MY GOD! SHE'S SHOT!" screamed a Burnsian officer.

Mr. Pezzerly: I want full teams scouting the area. If you see any movement at all, yell and start shooting.

Paramedic: She's got a pulse. A weak one, but she's alive. Get her into the ambulance!

Queen: What... hit... me...?

Paramedic: Don't move, ma'am. You need rest.

LATER

The Queen lays in an intensive care bed set up in a GreenHome hospital.

Doctor: She looks like she's gunna be fine.

Officer: Good. I would hate to lose the queen.

Doctor: She needs rest.

Officer: Thats what they all say...

A very tired looking bishop Vanderlin, escorted by 2 burnsian partisans and 2 of redhawks peacekeepers, enters queen Romalia's room, takes a bow, and then moves closer to the bed.

"I regret having to disturb you dear child, but several important matters have to be brought to your attention. First of all, we've heard of efforts being made to rebuild your economy. Kind as that is, it's virtually imposssible to do, with all of your people either in the military service, or harvesting hash. But we may have a solution.

I represent all the Arilan volunteers, who have finished the last of the burials. Some of them are ready to go home, yet others, through the horrors they've witnessed here, feel either connected to this country, or fear to go back to a beautifull place again.

These 5000 men and women come randomly from all classes of our society. As they have a wide array of jobs and experience, they would be able to start up an economyunder the guidance of the Austar Union, if you were to make them citizens of The Burnsian Desert, doubling your people's number."

The greying bisshop sighs..." I will stay with them, if you allow it. Our countries ways somewhat alike, and I will be attending to their spiritual needs."

"Now on to my other news. At the time of the shooting, there were also several shooting incidents in your hash plantations, and some of the fields were set afire. A quick investigation by Arilan's limited intelligence network reveiled only that another hash producing country was behind the attacks, not liking the competition. Our informant was unfortunately shot before he could disclose the name of this country.

Arilan society frowned upon the cultivation of drugs for profit, however, seeing how hard you were hit, it was understandable. In the light of this discoery however, it might be better if you stop producing drugs entirely?

I will leave you to ponder about you decisions. Truth be told, I need some rest myself. Get well soon my child."

The bishop leaves for the door, where the escort surrounds him again. "And may the Creators blessings be upon you"

The door falls shut

A man in a simple suit knocks on the door. It was less of a suit, and more of a pair of kahkis, a navy blazer, and a black polo shirt. He peaks his head in, and steps in. He hands Pezzerly a buisness card, and then one to the queen. He pauses briefly, then speaks.

"My Name is Alec Glen, and I represent an organization known simply as The Corporation. You may or may not have heard of it, but regardless, I assure you that we are the best at what we do. The Corporation is made up of three bodies. The Associates, The Firm, and The Department, each with its own set of tasks."

He set down his brief case, and continued speaking. "It has come to the attention of our CEO, Director Sam Byrnes, that your nation is in dire need of economic assistance and," he looked at the queen sitting on the bed, "security. The Corporation can offer both of those things, and more. Should you accept our offer, we will began an imidiate process to rebuild your economy, change and upgrade your security, and in all, make TBD an even better land."

He looked at Pezzerly, suppressed one of those 'its fun time' grins, and continued. "There will be no need for you to purchase any pesky loans, no need to repay anyone for borrowing, no need to wait for effects to take place. In under a month, well, four weeks to be exact, your government will be stronger economically. The cost will be minimal, and can be worked out later on."

Glen bent over to his suitcase, and removed a small stack, four pages, of paper, all pretyped and edited, and typed again. He removed a fancy pen from inside his blazer, and held it on top of the paper. "With your dignature, changes will start instantly."

Mr. Pezzerly stands there, starting to get annoyed. He barges past the buisinessman, lightly shoving him aside,

"Your Royal Highness, my method is proven to work. Why, Hitler used this method when the great hyper-inflation hit Germany before WW2. This buisinessman only wants your money for his own greedy motives. If you are worried about taking loans then put them in my name personally, and I will give you the money as a friggen gift. If you followmy steps, you wont have to worry about re-payments, because when you follow my steps, I can pay them back myself. I mearly left out the explanation in order to save time. And, with all due respect," he looked at the queen, "your security force didn't seem to help out earlier today. Else wise you wouldn't be in a hospital bed. And no offense, but your entire land based armed forces is about the size of a singal Imitoran devison. Although that is not the matter. I do not represent the Imitoran government, I represent The Corporation. I will explain our doings if you wish, and if you do not, then I will not."

He paused. "Further, to our knowledge, if your economy was strong, and your treasury overflowing, then you wouldn't need advisors to assist you in the saving of your economy nor would you need to began hash production in order to bring in a higher revenue"

As modern buildings shoot out of the ground like mushroom on a foggy autumn night, the Arilan minority watches in awe at the recovery speed of The Burnsian Desert. With so many modern industries and homes, yet few population, immigration is bound to rise tremendously.

Bishop Vanderlin goes to visit Mr.Pezzerly : "I fear we haven't been properly introduced. When The Burnsian Desert was in its darkest hours, and war raged over the nuked remains of this country, only the arilans came to care for its people, rather then to issue threats of war.
Now that we've helped burying the dead, many of us have chosen to remain in this country. Do not misunderstand our intentions, we're eternally gratefull of your help for The Burnsian Desert.

After having witnessed your superior building techniques, could you do us a favor? We would like you to build an Arilan style Cathedral in our quarter of the city, where we can hold our sermons to honour the creator. It would take us decades to build, but at your rate, a month or so"

General Anderson stepped out of the hummer and looked around at the ruins of the village. Engineers dismounted their vehicles and began stacking supplies at the ruins. Several troops began fitting a bulldozer blade to a tank.

"Captain, come here for a moment." The General called to one of the engineers.

The captain ran over. "Yes sir?"

"Find out what home belongs to which family." The General replied, pointing to a gathering of civilans near-by. "Then, have your people search the ruins before they are torn down, see if you can recover anything for these people."

"Yes sir!" The captain replied, and hurried back to brief his troops on the new orders.

Major General Simions walked up to Anderson. "Well Sam, still quite the idealist despite all this needless destruction, eh?"

The General grined and chuckled at his friend's remark. "Come on Jen, lets move on to the next site." He said, as he motioned to his escort to remount.

"Yes sir?"

Mr. Pezzerly smiled, "I honored to meet you Mr. Vanderlin. Because I am not the CEO of NG Constructions, I cannot promise you any deals, but I'm sure the CEO will take you up on your offer. Because we have such a large contract, I am sure we can arrange things to be free for the construction of your cathedral."
