GLoG and Eowyn Alliance finished!
Since we announced our intention to 'keep the peace' Eowyn have shown no sign of this and have continued to place threats against the good people of Grande and the 'Grand Lands of Grande'. False information against our region has also been a common occurance. For a blatent example of this visit this web-page:
http://www.freewebs.com/studium/recentstudiiissues.htm
in which it states that the war was declared by us when in fact as you probably know it was not as i posted a copy of the telegram in the war post. This will not be taken lightly by Grande and therefore the alliance no longer exists. No further action will be taken over the matter however we will not tolerate further threats.
Regards,
Grande (President of 'Grand Lands of Grande')
Earlier this evening, Grande heard of a report on the recent war on the official Studii web site. Several minutes after reading the report, Grande ended the alliance between our two regions. The report was removed and I personally tried to maintain the alliance between the two regions. However, negotiation attempts failed and Grande declared the end of the alliance.
The decision to go to war was not an easy one to make but was deemed the only option left open to us after several attempts on negotiations failed.
The Eowynian Council is greatly saddened and disappointed at the end of the alliance. The Studii MOD has expressed an official apology for the report and is also deeply saddened by the actions taken by Grande. Studium takes full responsibility for the report. Eowyn hopes that Grande soon realise our mistake and true sorrow and restore the alliance. However, if Grande decide that the alliance is irreparable, we wish Grande the best of luck in the future.
In Hope,
The Prime Minister
The Kingdom of Studium
UN Delegate for Eowyn
President of Eowynian Council
False information and threats will not be tolerated by a democracy.
It is imporant to remember that the valued alliance was ended by a simple factual error on a web site. The article was removed within minutes of Grande pointing this out to myself.
That was no simple factual error, it was clearly intended.
Studium would never intentionally endanger such an important alliance.

Falastur proposes that to ensure the peace from this situation, both Grande and Studium resolve another treaty, on a one-last-chance offer. This conflict should and would be still in existence, and only was by a news article that now no longer exists. Therefore we propose that a second treaty is signed, on the condition that one last slip will result in the end of any alliance.
OOC One of my nations is in Grand Lands of Grande, so that's my excuse for getting involved......
