A couple things,

First, how is it that a nation so young can produce 1,000 tonnes of Uranium, and not have a Uranium Mining industry in their top three?

Second, why arent you dealing with Communist nations? All that we do is promote equality and togetherness with our people. Your discrimination will eventually be your downfall, consider that your warning.

First, Uranium Mining has just ceased from being in my top 3 industries.
I also have a significantly larger and older nation, from which I obtained some Uranium.

Second, Communist nations could not afford my goods, thus would be foolish to do business with such a nation. Communism will bring your own downfall, be warned.

I don't see the point in descriminating against socialist nations, after all, they still have private enterprise. It just is on a very small scale.

Also I do not wish to supply any of my allies' potential enemies with nuclear materials.

Hahahaha, that's impossible, anybody that's not your ally is potentially your enemy, so anyone they're not allied with is potentially their enemy.

actually socalism works like this, the wealth of the country is split equally between all the people, as the GDP grows the more money everone gets. If the GDP is high enough you can have a very nice nation. If it happens to be a warlike community then a pooling of money can get you uranium. Dont say it wont happen, thats just idiocy.
As for your larger nation, show us, if you have no proof technically that uranium dosen't exist now does it?

This is a complete travesty. First, Communist and Socialist countries arguably have a more stable economic system than that of capitalist countries. Second, there is absolutely no way you could possibly mine/sell all that Uranium at your age.

Is that the only line from the communist manifesto that you know?

Technically, China's capitalist. They hate to say it, but it's true. In fact, many American companies are abandoning America for China. With that said, I'm waiting for Cuba to enter NAFTA...

OOC: I'm not sure how this got into a debate in the first place, but let me say this. There has not been a truly Communist or Socialist Nation (using Karl Marx's theory as a reference point) as of yet on Earth. There have been attempts, but most have failed, or are failing.
IC:
Well, lucky me. I'm not longer classified as a "Democratic Socialist." How nice, just in time too! I do have one question though;
Is this weapons grade uranium, or not? Either way, I'd like some, either for those nuke plants in my nation, or for my nuclear weapon program (small though it may be).
10-01-2004, 21:33
Hrmph, who needs uranium when you can have ze hotdogs?
Bethnal Green
10-01-2004, 22:28
Freepacific, I can assure you it is weapons grade.

It can also be used for reactor-based energy, but it isn't as high a quality as that specifically mined for such usage.

How much could you and I be dealing with?
Haick
10-01-2004, 22:35
How can weapon's grade not be good energy grade? If anything, weapons grade is meant to produce a bigger blast of ENERGY, so it's more effective, as long as your reactor's fitted to accept it. Also, what's the point in Uranium, most Nuke use plutonium as it stands, and so do most reactors. Also, nobody ever drops nukes, they leave too much waste and cost to much, plus only come back to haunt the original user when the waste fills the atmosphere. So, any purchase of Uranium would only be costly if it was for a low-power nuclear reactor.

bringerofpain does not need any uranium, as we have massive uranium mines and they have flourished greatly since we found the uranium.

OOC: I'm not sure exactly how much I would need, but I'll buy what seems a good amount anyway. If it doesn't seem right, please tell me, and I'll up the amount
IC:
I'd like 50 tons. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I really don't need THAT much for nuclear missiles. Not that we have nuclear missiles, or any weapons of mass destruction, that is. And those are nuclear shelters, not silos, throughout our nation....in addition to the other nuclear shelters that don't look like silos.
