Im sorry but I find his topic offensive both because Im an Iraqi-jew whose relatives were forced from Iraq by Saddam Hussein, and because it is offensive to the American soldiers who died to get rid of a man who killed many, destroyed a nations economy and gave weapins and training to islamic extremeists who are now bent on killing me and every other citizens of the Western world or Israel.

Lusaka, I perosnally have very good reasons to despise the Baathist regime and yes they did originally start off as a Nasserist socialist ideology which I also loathe for good reasons, my intitial remar' was not a good IC comment as i would not go to war for OOC reasons but I was thouroughly offended by this post, as it is most likely some dumb Westerner who thinks its funny to impersonate Saddam Hussien. Quite frankly this is sick.

My clarification, is that I wont nor did I ever intend to take military action against this nation but only to register my disgust. I do not have a problem with people coiving their politival opinions but I do when is doen in such a sick way.

You are not more powerful, im not a facist, facism is about nationalising and racial purity, I am a free market, compassionate, conservative.

OOC: I was not referencing Lusaka when I mentioned a more powerful communist state. Lusaka isn't even communist- it has a head of state, and not nearly enough democracy to be communist. Anyway, I think my comment worked okay- UE isn't fascist like Saddaam isn't communist. I don't do well when people (usually of conservative nature) associate political ideologies such as my own with popular hate-figures such as Saddam without actual making-out any clear relationship.

I don't want to get into a completely OOC debate over the seemingly evident fact that emulating one corrupt leader is no worse than emulating another, perhaps the most brutal murdering regime left on earth to-day, for example (three guesses).. I just prefer RP and RL politics to be kept apart. I have one nation on here set up to entirely counter just about every one of my political beliefs and moral sentiments, and I manage to avoid offending myself.

United Elias - which part are you from? It is good to meet another Iraqi on Nationstates. However I am unhappy about the way you have reacted to me. First of all you have no just cause to ignore me, and you have no just cause to declare war on me. Just because you do not agree with my views, it doesnt give you the right to attack me, or ignore both OOC and IC. So if you ignore me, then your just being a Kuwaiti.

My cause is just. If you cant stand that, then I suggest you take it to Iraq, not Nationstates.

Then there is the the all-pervasive police force. And this is the nation of the person protesting Saddam. United Elias, you protest people glorifying a dictator while running a dictatorship yourself. Outlawed political freedoms? Unheard of Civil rights? Sounds familiar. If you have a legitimate issue, that would be fine. I just find a nation like yours complaining ironic and hypocritical. I don't whether I could describe myself as an Iraqi since my family left for the UK during the Kingdom, back in the '20s but they were from Baghdad, actually my great grand father was governor for a time during the Ottoman era.

Anyway I had some family in Iraq until the '80s but now they live in the US and Israel although apparently one or two of the 30 or so jews still in Baghdad are very sistantly related.
