Prime Minister Lin in Yongjing

"Many incurable diseases threaten the people of this world. We now live in an integrated world - an outbreak in one nation easily becomes an outbreak in another. Cures are not always available, therefore prevention is key. For prevention, cooperation is needed. Therefore, today, the Empire of Xiang Gang would like to found an international health organisation, INTERHEAL. All nations are encouraged to join. Only through cooperation may we prevent outbreaks become pandemics."

ALL NATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN. We will have a monthly congress on this thread hosted by any willing nation.

THE FIRST CONGRESS OF INTERHEAL, Yongjing, Xiang Gang
AGENDA: recruitment and setting up the basic rules of the organisation.

Like many other East Asian countries, Taiwan has had it's share of disease. Thus, an application for membership in INTERHEAL has been signed by Taipei.

Sapheria would like to consider joining, but first, we need to know how INTERHEAL plans to prevent the spread.

Firstly, thank you for joining.

All that have joined are now equal members. What Xiang Gang proposes is that all nations coordinate their prevention efforts by all targeting disease in the same way. Xiang Gang, _Taiwan and Hattia will now be known as "founding members".

What I propose is that we be a unit which chooses the way to prevent disease together and lobby our delegates to approve resolutions which would improve health throughout the world. I recently had my delegate submit a resolution called "SARS prevention", but I do not believe it has registered enough support. I propose that one of our duties would be to boister support for these resolutions.

Hattia, as you are a delegate, I would like to invite you to be secretary and if you choose to do so to submit health based resolutions on behalf of INTERHEAL.

Trinis would very much like to join INTERHEAL, to promote and improve world health. My assistant Minister will attend the first Congress.

Thank you for approving the proposal.

I do not believe that it will go through, unfortunately, as as many delegates know, few resolutions are ever brought forward to vote by all members, and few delegates are truly active.

The Armed Republic of Sino Ministry of Health is to commit 100 of our finest medical researchers and doctors to INTERHEAL. Diseases like SARS must be cured and their cure is just as important as fighting the global cancer of communism.

While Rebeland will not join interheal, we will commit our medical research department to the curing of horrible epidemics, and donate 230 medical personnel.
