anyone wants to sell me a good Soviet tank??? my nation needs tanks and i am lacking man power to build my own. for now.

I don't know about Soviet tanks, but I could produce you a few German Panzer Mark IV's for evaluation. They're the long-barreled, 75mm gun version.

The phrase "Good Soviet Tank" is a contradiction in terms.

And most Eastern Bloc nations don't have the money to mass produce Kornet-E Anti-Tank Missles. Or much less buy them in sufficient quantities.

Kornet is, like most Soviet equipment, vastly overrated. Even the Soviets admit that this isn't that much of an improvement over previous models. Buy a Javelin instead.
And an Abrams is more likely to survive a Kornet than a Soviet tank is to survive a Javelin (the Javelin's attack profile makes it almost immune to Shtora, Arena, and ERA, so those don't help).

The fact is, despite everything said, it's still SACLOS. Several of its contemporaries are fire-and-forget, which makes them harder to counter, and reduces risk to the operator. It is for that reason that they began working on a replacement (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/at-15.htm) only two years after the Kornet entered production.

The Javelin isn't as powerful as the Kornet (900mm penetration compared to 1200mm), but the main advantage for the Javelin is that it flies into the air and strikes down at a 45-degree angle. Not only does it strike the thinner top armor, but this angle is above the ability for most active defense systems (shtora and arena included), which are only good against direct attack weapons. Shtora, for example, is only effective up to an elevation of 25 degrees. I think Arena is good for 20 or 30. ERA is similarly degraded by this method, though the missile still has a tandem warhead for defeating it.

The M1A2 was introduced in 1999 and is entering service, it has not replaced the M1A1 yet.

Good soviet tanks are a myth? My god, dumbass amricans roam the forums I see...

T-72 entered service in the early 1970's Id like to see an american m-60a2 from that period survive for 2 minutes against it. T-54's prototype was built in 1945, no shit abrams can kill it! T-80U and T-90 can both kill abrams at 2km with their main gun, or, since abrams' glacis is weak, at 5.5km with the Refleks (AT-11 Sniper) missile. Oh, and kontakt-5 offers protection against the m256 or whatever its called APFDS round.
