Rather Convenient Offers 750 Billion Contract

08-01-2004, 03:08
Our nation has just been lifted out of stasis, only to find that the current geo-political situation has changed dramatically. Our nation had an incredible military for its size - 25 years ago. However, we now find ourselves in a new era, where new technologies have been developed, new methods and strategies produced. It is frightenly clear; we must modernize, or we will fall.

Therefore, we have begun a massive modernization project. We have begun modernizing our infrastructure, incorporating fiber-optic cables and many other new additions. However, in order to speed this process up, we have decided to offer a contract of 750 billion dollars to contractors.

All areas of our country are need of modernization. Logistics, research labs, buildings, industries, the military, etc. We have made 750 billion dollars in contracts open; may the bidding begin.
08-01-2004, 03:13
Aw, c'mon, 750 billion in potential profits, and nobody posts?

And before somebody screams Godmodder... This is a resurrected nation. 750 billion should be fair.

Thank you all for the amount of interest expressed.

Samtonia, we would be delighted to hear your proposal.
Isochronous, we were hoping for something a little more modern. As we understand, F-15s are products over 15 years old. We need new, cutting-edge technology. Supersonic stealth bombers, orbital weapon emplacements, and other, more technogically demanding products.
The Zoogie People, make an offer. We'll take a look at your planes.
Shinoxia, we are interested; please put forth your proposal and specifications.
OPArsenal, we are sorry, but we have to decline your offer. Our country has been experiencing an epidemic of obesity lately, and we fear the more pizza would merely aggravate the situation.

We are currently engaged in hostilities, but we could provide you new technologies and modernize your infrastructure for a moderate price - say, 75 billion?

There are a number of advanced, modern weapons systems that various Western Asian companies have been permitted to vend to foreign powers. A partial (OOC: In-progress) Catalogue of the products offered to date can be seen here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=88338&highlight=) and interests, orders, or inquiries can be placed in the parallel ordering thread (OOC: see link in first post there).

We hope that some of these products may be...of interest to your officials.

The Taiwanese government has a stake in Virgin Aerospace, one of the leading civilian aircraft manufacturers in Asia. Virgin also operates airlines internationally and also has sizeable interests in the media industry.

The ROTAF is also looking to sell it's older AWACS aircraft, and has 5 E-767s availible for an affordable price of $25m per unit.

Virgin Group is interested in expanding it's services into your nation, and is hereby laucnching a formal bid to service the civilian aviation needs of your nation.

My Storefront (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110496), which is mostly planes.

Basically, what we'll do is create a plane factory in an isolated section of your nation and create aircraft there, at a cheaper price for you. We have to offer...

The Su-35 and MiG-29M for Air Superiority
The ZF-12C or F-16CZ for a cheaper 4th-gen Air Superiority/Multirole aircraft
The ZF-24 and ZF-26 for 5th-generation Multirole/Strike aircraft
The ZF-24B for a trainer and reconaissance aircraft.

In addition we offer medium-ranged SAMs based on the SA-17. It would depend on how many of each aircraft you would need. All of our domestic made and modified aircraft incorporate lower radar cross sections, making it harder for the enemy to detect you, upgraded avionics, an advanced HUD, and automated thrust vectoring to greatly enhance agility. The Su-35 and MiG-29M, which were not modified, are legendary Russian aircraft in their own right.

The final price will depend on the number of aircraft you specify. We will provide you with the allie's discount of 5%, and production rights for all aircraft for an additional $20 billion (which I believe is half off for four aircraft).

TM me if you're still interested.

Exonerate - Offer accepted, you are welcome to come at your earlier convenience.
Moontian - We are extremely interested in your space technologies and power generation technologies. Please telegram us with details, I'm sure we can work something out.
Esryia - We'd like our Air Force updated, but I think we'll hold on the tanks. When you say update, what do you mean by that?
Western Asia - Your storefront is very impressive. Your selection of equipment is so large that we simply cannot decide on what to purchase. Perhaps you could make a few suggestions, particularly on Naval and high-atmospheric craft?
Taiwan - Our government will not purchase any aircraft from your store, seeing as that is not our place. We will, however, forward our airline industry executives to your corporation.
CorpSac - The price on your research facility is ludricious - more than the GDP of a medium sized nation. I think we'll pass.
The Zoogie People - Since you specialize in aircraft as well as SAMs, perhaps your nation has much new technologies, especially aircraft detection and electronics? Perhaps we could make an exchange of technologies? Our nation was once a leader in biotechnology; although we have fell behind the competition, we might still have some useful information to offer.

OOC: Well, for reference, the USofA has 12 carriers of a capacity somewhat larger than my 'standard' carriers (which have a capacity of about 3/4 of the Nimitz-class) but many of those are older designs. The US also has 11-12 Amphibious Assault/Helicopter carriers and many more "LPDs" and "LSDs" (about 1 of each for each Amphibious Ready Group, the equivalent of a Carrier Battle Group only it is in support of Marine Corps MEUs launched from Amphibious Assault vessels) which serve to transport and land marine forces and can be used much as my SOCSt2 vessel is...although the SOCS is much more dedicated to the understanding that it can be best to deploy fairly large number of special forces teams from outside of a country (ref. Afghanistan campaign).

As far as High Atmospheric aircraft, I'd recommend looking to Sambizie. I've done some stats work designing several aircraft for him that can make short extra-atmospheric jaunts from an earth-based take-off and they might fit your bill (although they might be too futuretech for your liking...I hesitate to use them often).
09-01-2004, 05:46
OOC: Actually... I was hoping to eventually jump into a FTL civilization. I'm investing in space and high atmospheric technologies and sensors for a reason  I'll take a look at them...

OOC: Try building an electromagnetic "ski jump" ramp...Skepticism was selling plans and services....by launching from that you save enough fuel for the craft to stay up there for more than 5-10minutes.

by updating we mean selling you the stuff and and installing the support facilitys.

How about F-22 Raptors or the JSF?

We also have the Pterodactyl plane, with fighter and bomber models. It travels at Mach 3.6 and carries the latest in missile/bomb technology. It is also designed to evade radar and the surface of the outside serves as a radar jammer.

Isochronous - F-22s are acceptable. What is your asking price?
