Air to Air Missiles
Sidewinder AIM-9x

The AIM-9 Sidewinder is a heat-seeking, short-range, air-to-air missile capable of operation from a vast array of aircraft types.
The Sidewinder is the most widely used air-to-air missile in the world and is one of the oldest, least expensive and most successful missiles ever produced. The new 9x brings it up to date with the third generation of missiles.
Length: 3.02m
Diameter: 12.7cm
Launch Weight: 85kg
Range: Over 9nm
Speed: Mach 3+
Warhead: 9.4 kg annular blast-fragmentation
$40 000
ASRAAM missile

ASRAAM is a high speed, high agility, next generation, heat-seeking, air-to-air missile. Although ASRAAM is predominantly for use in the within-visual-range (WVR) arena, it also has a capability in the beyond-visible-range (BVR) arena.
Truely a next generation missile, the ASRAAM out performs any current NATO or Russian missile in service, expescially in the very close range area (under 1nm). It looks set to serve Air Forces well into the future.
Length: 2.90m
Diameter: 16.6cm
Launch Weight: 88kg
Range: Over 10nm
Speed: Mach 3+
Warhead: 10kg fragmentation explosive
$44 000
AIM-120C AMRAAM
http://www.raf.mod.uk/equipment/images/amraam.jpg
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is a new generation air-to-air missile. AMRAAM has an all-weather capability and forms the mainstay of the US Air Force's air to air weaponry. Although ageing, the AMRAAM is a battle proven missile that many countries put their faith in, most recently updated to 'C' standard.
Length: 3.66m
Diameter: 17.78cm
Launch Weight: 150.75kg
Range: Over 20 miles
Speed: Mach 3.5
Warhead: 23kg blast-fragmentation
$380 000
Meteor BVRAAM
http://www.global-defence.com/2000/images/meteor3.jpg
Meteor will engage air targets by day or night and in all weather or dense electronic warfare environments. The Meteor missile gives Eurofighters the capability of beating the same threat for which the US is developing the F-22 and the ERAAM, but at a fraction of the cost.
It boasts a range in excess of 100 km and a speed of more than Mach 4. The missile is equipped with both proximity and impact fuzes and a fragmentation warhead, detonated at the optimum point to maximise lethality. As such less missiles are needed than if the AMRAAM were used.
No country has a more capable weapon at this range and Meteor is definately the best BVRAAM (Beyond Visual Range) on the market.
Length: 3.66m
Diameter: 17.78cm
Range: Over 100km
Speed: Mach 4+
Warhead: blast-fragmentation
$490 000
