Roycelandia

Dateline: Port Royal, Roycelandia
Roycelandia's His Imperial Majesty Emperor Royce I today announced another victory for the Empire of Roycelandia- the establishment of a colony on Coral Palm Islands in the Pacific.
"We had to suffer the embarrasment of watching our former colonies crumble, collapse, and become abandoned under the pathetic rulership of my predecessor, King James the Indecisive. Now, we can regain some of the former glory and economic benefits of overseas colonies."
His Majesty took this oppurtunity to enjoy the standing ovation from the crowd, thanked them for their support, and continued.
"We were fortunate that this Island had previously been marked for colonisation under the previous Emperor, and preliminary construction work had been undertaken prior to his unfortunate death. Naturally, the Native Islanders already there are welcome to stay and enjoy the benefits of our civilised and benevolent rule, or we will be only too happy to relocate them if they wish to live elsewhere."
His Majesty continued after a momentary pause.
"This gives the Roycelandian Empire a total of two 'official' overseas colonies, and a protectorate. It is a glorious day for Roycelandia, and accordingly, I am declaring tomorrow to be a Public Holiday so that all in our Empire might celebrate this occaison in style."
His Majesty was giving a standing ovation and cheers from all present at this announcement, and preparations are already underway for tomorrow's celebrations.
The Governor of the Island will be democratically elected by the colonists, but Port Royal will have the final say in all matters of defence and administrations.
