Peace Treaty: Have your nation sign
Greetings, in light of recent wars, I am creating a peace treaty. This is an incredibly vague treaty, but a treaty nonetheless. Any nation can sign, but remember it is enforced.
The terms are as listed:
1) You cannot attack a fellow nation that has signed the treaty without a legitimate reason.
2) Invading a nation that has signed the treaty without cause will result in military action on that nation by the other nations.
3) Along with actually attacking a fellow treaty nation, you are not allowed to use airborne missiles, or WMD's on that nation either.
That is about it! If you are interested in signing the treaty state so, and confirm your nation has signed. Good day to you all.
The fine nation of Rebeland signs the Peace treaty.
In the interests of peace, as well as a wish to join and be recognized by the world, the Protectorate of Darien the Great has signed this treaty.

While I don't agree with Buttcrack-'s opinion of the sexuality of your treaty, I do think it is fairly redundant. Your treaty basically implies that only people who sign the treaty have to follow the most basic rules of engagement, while anyone who hasnt signed it is free to do as they please. Rule #1 is common sense to most people. Rule #2 is foolish. And rule #3 makes me wonder if I'm allowed to fire cannon shells miles into treaty nations, because they're not covered in the treaty.

I find it foolish for nations to join what are ultimately useless, entangling alliances. How do you think world wars get started?
I just joinm cause I want to, not because I have to. My nation, my decision, as long as I see it benefit these virtual people so they don't grab those pitchforks and run after me.... :shock:
yes, the treaty is redundant. But it doesn't really matter. It's just a piece of paper.
