Need Internation Permission to Use New Weapon Platform
I know it seems odd, however to be fair I wish to ask all if my nation may use this new design for a weapons flatform, which is called a MBW, or Mechanized Battle Walker.
It will be primarly used as ouir Main Assault/Main Defense Unit, or MA/MD-U, and will not be mass produced as we know we have not the support of our currency reserves, which must be used for the betterment of the people.
Here is an image.

It is your decision weather you will allow us to use this or not, and if you do I will keep the production within REALITY standards, as we are attempting to advance some parts of our current Technological Tree.
We hope you allow this, for if you do we shall know the International Community is supporting Advanced Research and Development projects that Nations may use. The USSNR also hopes that we will be able to provide each nation that responds with a unit or, better yet, the design specifications FOR YOUR use.
Thank you for your time.

What is the average tech level of your nation?
The Average Tech Level of the United Socialist States of Nodea Rudav is, on a scale of 1-10, would be Seven(7). Yet we admire modern technology and tend to stray away from TOO FAR furturistic designs for our nation, only looking at what IS possible to build IRL(In Real Life), and in a Modern world.

I would say that design is, at the very least, late post-modern tech.
I ask that those who respond respectfully state "Agree" if you agree we could use it for Nation Defense and Offense or "Disagree" if you believe it is TOO far advanced for the nation I have created.

I think it's just a fraction too advanced for you at the moment. It's a fantastic concept, but for a young nation, you'd have a very "fun" time working out all the bugs because you have no basis to work on. I say start smaller (say mounted versions of the guns and missiles) and then work your way to automated robot walkers (robots that mimic human/"chicken" movements) and then meld the two after a few false starts. Be patient, good things come to those who wait.
Thank you, I will start with tanks and/or modern techs Possible and/or Near-Possible IRL or on here. Walkers will be in the future, yet this design will be kept in storage.
Thank you for your advice. The USSNR gives you a copy of the design specs for you to use as you will.

I concur. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Thank ya'll, God Bless all and everyone in NationStates.
Anywho....

Go ahead. Mechs are easier to kill than tanks anyway. One shot to those huge missile racks... BOOM.
Funny, seems you fail to realize the missles cannot just be shot and blown with a bullet, gonna take more to get past the sliders that open to allow the misles to launch.

Fin Stabilized Depleted Uranium penentrator. Unless you want to make your sliders twice as thick as the frontal armor of an Abrams.
Also, you could blow the leg off. Or shoot the hips. Or hit the missile racks from behind. When it comes to armored warfare, it's good to be shorter.
Shall I explain the process of Advanced Titanium?

Shall I explain the process of Advanced Titanium?
No. because tank armor is stronger than any "advanced" titanium.
It doesn't matter really about the armour of a walker.
A missile or rocket or artillery shells or an explosion can tip it over and ignites the external ammunion and... KABOOM!!!

Giant robots are like really old people. Once they get knocked over, they aren't getting up again.
Indeed, however there is an AI computer that is needed to correct and balace the Walker as it moves, keeping the motion of the legs in check and in a correct way to walk forward, backward, turn left, ect.
It doesn't take much to realize that the American M1-A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank uses somewhat close to this technology to keep the turrent and barrel on its current target, hence its great accurcy.
Oh yea? *steals the designs* This things armor is now made of Titanium Alloys in an Epoxy-Resin Honeycomb, how dya liek them cookiez!?!?!??!?!
****NUCLEAR LAUNCH****
I LAUNCH ONE 1000000000000000000000000000000000 MEGATON NUCLEAR BOMB AT NODEA RUDAV!!!!! DI3!!11!!!!!
Impossible, Illogical, and just downright idiotic.
Even huge posters can be crazy.
Anywho....

Explain how your AI computer magically corrects, say, a HEAT round through the pelvis.
The current Chobham armor can withstand HEAT rounds.. used in a tank of course but still.. if he were to steal Kazaakisthan's armor, which is Titanium Alloys in a Epoxy-Resin Honeycomb... it would be able to withstand a HEAT round as well (from what I can tell..)

Sure, but how can you armor the hips that much without impairing the ability to move?
Who cares about moving :P
The fact is, as has been said on a previous threade about mechs, that if you mount your "advanced titanium" or other armour of doom on a tank, you can have more of it. A tank also has a lower centre of gravity and can't be knocked over, and will be faster and more efficient due to the less complex process of getting drive energy into forward motion.
The only adventage a mech has, therefore, is all-terrain capabilities. And, to be honest, the existence of roads makes tanks capable of travelling rapidly into and through almost any country, to capture the important cities etc. For guerilla war in dufficult terrain, men on foot would still be required, and mechs would not be as good for fire support as helicopters, which are much faster and are truly all-terrain, or the frankly ridiculous amount of firepower infantry can carry with them using mortars, rocket-launchers and grenade launchers.
So mechs are rather uselesss - on earth.
Now, if we ever end up fighting a land war on other planets (which will require us to either run into hostile aliens or set up large non-international colonies on other planets), then mechs suddenly become a good option. Infantry are incredably vulnerable on a planet with a hazardous atmosphere, since one breach in a suit will kill (caused by enemy fire or simply by catching on something when diving for cover). Lighter than tanks (assuming light mechs. Titans are an entirely ridiculous concept), mechs would be easier to transport, and on another planet there may be many miles of difficult terrain, with no roads, between one colony base and its enemy equivalent.
Who cares about moving :P
I think you are talking about a 'turret', whereas mechs are usually used as 'vehicles'.

So whyd you quote me :?: *shrug*
Erm, because you are suggesting that a mech shouldn't need to move.
Which, bearing in mind that it is a vehicle not a turret (a mech-shaped turret is an entirely pointless idea, a turret with a wider base for stability is much better idea than legs), is either a joke I do not understand or rather missing the point.

No im suggesting that I don't care :P
Then why did you post in the first place, why did you post in response to me, and why did you ask why?
Then why did you post in the first place, why did you post in response to me, and why did you ask why?
... what?
Right, let's try this nice and slowly:
IF YOU DO NOT CARE, WHY THE BLAZES ARE YOU POSTING?
If you do not care about the thread, why are you posting on it?
If you do not care about what I'm saying, why do you keep replying?
I do care, that is why I am here.
Got it now?

Just wanted to add something.
Because you are asking questions?
Who cares about moving :P
I'm to tired to think a good way to protect hip/area of movement to make armor practical, even though I know a mech isn't practical (now).
Well you were the one who asked the first question - namely "why are you quoting me?"
So I said why, and then you said you didn't care.
Somewhat confusing.

How much would it cost for the schematics?
