In the city of Maystar, ten thousand Mestionian soldiers await the ensuing battle with soldiers of Rebeland, stationed just off the coast, barely within sight. Sounds of loading and cocking can be heard throughout the fortifications as soldiers load their M16A2 rifles, most of which have never been fired in combat. Piles of anti-tank rockets, grenades, and any other weapon are scattered throughout the city. Many of the men carry with them traditional Korrivi swords, partly for luck, and partly because an order of no surrender has been given. The men look to each other for comfort, finding only the saddened faces of men who only days earlier were out on their boats, fishing, making a living, living as normal a life as a Mestionian can. All that had changed, now they were soldiers, soldiers in the Royal Army of Mestionian. Then, as if god himself sounded it, a loud horn was heard in the distance, "To arms!" cried a young officer as he drew his pistol. The soldiers grabbed their weapons, and looked to the sea....the ships had not moved. For it was not the sound of a signal horn from Rebeland that had caught the soldier's attention, it was the horn of the Mayoru, natives of Mestionian. From the south they came, numbering in the thousands, armed with what they could muster, mostly traditonal tribal weaponry. Upon their arrival, a tall, somewhat slender man approached Major William Brok, commander of the Mestionian forces. "We come on behalf of Huanil, king of the Mayoru. We have battled in the past, but we share a common home, and we will be honored to fight along side the men of Dirk, son of Urul." With that, Major Brok ordered weapons and ammuniton brought to the Mayoru, quickly they were equipped with Mestionian rifles and pistols, though keeping their daggers and bows as auxilary weapons. The Mayoru were dispersed throughout the island with units of the Royal Army. There they lay in wait, defenders of the home islands, ready to fight to the death.

Admiral Hoffman, aboard the A.S.S. Leppewitz, issues commands through the ship's intercom for the fleet to be on full alert for the remaining half moon. The Leppewitz, a large Aircraft Carrier capable of housing 50 Fight/Bomber aircaft, moved with the rest of the battlefleet towards the archipelago of Mestonian.

The Battlefleet was comprised of about 30% of the ASLA's entire navy, and included destroyers, troop ships, the Leppewitz, and 2 submarines. A definite force to be reckoned with as the 1st and 4th Infantry divisions were along for the ride, along with the 2nd Armoured. They would attack upon word from the Rebelandi command.

From around the horn of Alabaster Cove appear sixteen of his majesty's Dolphon Class patrol boats, equipped with heavy and light machine guns, as well as two torpedo tubes. Quickly they engage the landing craft, firing into the troop holds and towards the beach, slowing the advance of enemy soldiers. Within minutes, several enemy landing craft lay caught in the maylay, several others had fallen into retreat, leaving their luckless human cargo to swim to shore. The patrol boats made quick work of several landing craft, due in large part to the inability of the unarmed craft to put up a defense. Suddenly, an enormous burst of flame shot out from the MPB Yilton. From a distance, the remaining ships saw a Rebelandi Cruiser, guns fixed on their position. "All units, on my six, follow right up the middle, get in close, wait for my signal" ordered Commander John Duguid over the radio. The Mestionian vessles quickly fell into formation, and traveled full speed towards the imposing Cruiser in the distance. Then, another flame burst, another vessle had been lost. Still, the crews of the remaining vessles steered towards the Cruiser. "On my mark, set torpedos ten feet depth, thirty knots.......fire!" spoke the Commander. As soon as the order was given, each vessle let loose one of her two torpedos directly at the Rebelandi ship of war. The vessles broke formation and fell into the ranks of the poised Rebelandi ships, doing what damage they could to the enormous structures of steel. An explosion was heard moments after the mass firing, then another, and another. To their rear the Mestionian crewmen saw their previous target, bow torn open, taking on water at an alarming rate. Quickly they set to work, "Alright boys, give em what you can!" With that, the crewmen drove into a field of bullets being fired by crewmen of the Rebelandi ships.

Meanwhile, on the beaches, most of the Rebelandi force had landed successfully and was slowly making their way up the beach. "Hold them back! This beach will not fall so long as the soldiers of our great king defend it!" cried Major Brok. The combined forces of the Mayoru and Mestionian soldiers fired at the oncoming enemy, but for every man they killed, it seemed two more took his place. Despite heavy losses, the Rebelandi forces inched their way towards the line where the Mestionians made their keep. Now with a foothold, Rebelandi soldiers fired rockets and heavy machine guns against the poorly fortified positions held by Mestionian troops. One by one, men fell to the weapons of war employed by their enemies. Around one half hour following the initial landing, Major Brok fell to a sniper's bullet, sword in hand, he died a soldier. His executive officer, Lieutenant Grig orders a general withdrawl to the rear of the keep.

Now there were only six active boat crews, the rest had fallen to enemy fire. Commander Duguid and his crew drove along side a Rebelandi Destroyer, firing their .50 caliber machine gun and other small arms at the crew above. The Commander fell shortly thereafter, straffed by a machine gun aboard the vessle they had been engaging. The remaining crews did what they could, but the overwhelming strength of their enemy proved too much, and each crew, one by one, succumbed to enemy fire, and was destroyed. With the threat of patrol craft interference gone, the remaining Rebelandi landing force set off for the beaches, where the defenders of Mestionian were holding on by a hair.....

OOC: ok, you are new so I think you should hear this...you are godmoding. That is when you state your enemies losses, or say "I deflected your bullet 'cause of an invisible forcefield!" I don't blame you because you are new, but you might want to watch for that.

IC: Of the 100,000 Troops 7,000 lay dead. They slowly march up the beach taking cover behind Rebelandi and Mestonian corpses.

"So what are our options." Field Marshall Dzerzhinsk asked to his entire staff in the underground command room.

"Sir, We have the 1st, Motor Rifle division just back from 5 days R&R. They can move out whenever we need them to" His operations officer, colonel Henri Altmann.

"We'll need a bit more than that" Dzerzhinsk protested.

"We also have the 21st Rifle, the 8th Atrillery, The 9th rifle, and the 54th Armored Cavalry."

That would be good, Dzerzhinsk thought as he gazed at the map. the idea was to scare away rebeland, before an actuall confrontation, but this army group would be more than enough to defend the small island if it came to it.

Then the thought struck him.

"21st rifle you say?"

Dzerzhinsk smiled. The 21st was a good group. Most of the men in it had been at the Panjshir valley during the canadian assault. They were hardened troops.

"That will come from the 44th bomb group, and the 12, and 13th fighter wings"

"We're still working on that sir" Lewis Crocker, his Naval officer commented.

Pending Rebeland's response to the ceasefire proposal I made on your 'call for aid' thread, I will send the 1st Carrier group in preparation for the landing of 3 Armoured Divisions to aid your country in defending both its peopel and its territorial integrity. The president of the United States of Witticism wishes to establish embassies in both Mestionian and Rebeland in attempts to expand its influence pertaining to international issues and disputes between the two nations.

In addition, the USW military is offering a non-aggression pact with Rebeland if they cut off the invasion of Mestionian and offer more civil, political, and corporate rights to their people.

...."Sir, thousands more have landed on the backside of the island!". "What are their origin?!" demanded Lieutenant Grig. "We're unsure, but our scouts report that they have landed armor on the beach, and are making their way towards our position." Grabbing a rifle the Lieutenant spoke, "Pass out any ammunition we have left, instruct the men to only shoot what they can hit." With that, the young officer ran to his observation post to see a new wave of Rebelandi soldiers landing, fully equipped. His army of 10,000 men was down to a force of 7,0000, including the Mayoru tribesmen whom had joined them in the days prior to the landing. They were now inside the keep of an ancient Korrivi fortress, fighting off wave after wave of Rebelandi and allied soldiers, when suddenly one of the observation towers was shot clean off by a highly explosive round. On their eastern side, several heavy tanks had achieved guns range on the keep and were firing on the besieged soldiers. Quickly the Mestionian soldiers took hold of the few shoulder fired rockets they had and fired at the oncoming tanks. By sheer luck, two of the rockets made contact, destroying one tank, and immobilizing another. The soldiers of unknown origin poured from the beaches onto the south end of the island, encircling the fortress along with soldiers of Rebeland.

The capital, under heavy air bombardment, recieves a relief force of fifty thousand men from the northern city of Haitu. These men are well equipped, and quickly take up positions around and within the great castle. In his arms room, King Dirk prepares to do battle, placing his pistol on his hip, he looks over at the golden-hilted sword that lay sheathed on his throne. He solemnly attached the sword with had been carried by Korrivi kings for hundreds of years onto his belt and made his way through the corridor to the great hall. From here the great king took hold of a radio transmitter and ordered it put on all frequencies. He spoke, "Soldiers of Mestionian, show the enemy no mercy, for you shall recieve none. Today you fight for your homes, your families, and your heritage. We owe it to all those who have come before us to defend what they worked so hard to build. I have no doubt that all of you shall do your duty as soldiers, as Mestionians.......and as men. Nemo Me Impune Lacessit!" He laid down the transmitter and made his way to his command post to coordinate the defense of the city.

Back at the fortress, Grig and his men struggle to hold on against wave after wave of enemy soldiers. Ammunition is running short, and some of the men have been seen using traditional korrivi swords to slay enemy soldiers attempting to break the defenses. At Grig's observation post, somewhere around 100 men overrun his position and begin assulting the officer and his detachment of men. They fight hard, but to little avail, the enemy has little regard for their own massive losses. Grigs fires his pistol empty, picks up a rifle from a fallen comrade and fires it empty as well. As a final show of devotion to his home and king, Lieutenant Grig charges the enemy with only his korrivi sword; he is immediately cut down by enemy fire. Inside the keep, men from both sides are dying in droves. The ground is littered with the bodies and weapons of the dead as the Mestionian defenders continue to fight against their invading enemies....

IC: The Holy Meritocratic Republic condemns the warmongering actions of these states, and demands a withdrawl from Mestionian territory. In response to these events, the 1st Argyri Carrier Task Force has taken up position outside of Mestionian waters, and several squadrons of F-16s are on their way.

5. Mestionian must sign an agreement restricting the development of a Mestionian WMD program considering they most likely stole nuclear secrets from Rebeland.

If each and every one of these demands is met without a reciprocal responsibility I will pull troops out of Mestionian.

The Republic of Rebeland is a large, economically powerful nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 40 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The USW president is afraid the hypocrisy of such an oppressive regime arguing for human rights is too hard a pill to swallow.

The USW is willing to commit a number of its highly skilled, world reknowned medical personnel from its military branches to Rebeland and its allies if the assurance can be made that Rebeland will establish more liberties and freedoms for its people.

Otherwise, combat forces of the Witticist nation may have to be deployed alongside the active Coalition against Rebeland.

The nation of Blargistania officially condemns the actions of rebeland and her allies. Despite warnings and attempts to preserve the peace from other nations, rebeland has attacked Mestionian. This obvious act of warmongering cannot go unpunished or unnoticed by the rest of the world. Blargistania will therefore join with Mestionian in defence of their homeland. We will not, however, participate in any other conquest. Since the peace has failed, force must now be used to reestablish it.

General Ridet stared at the maps of Mestionian, mentally forming a plan for the defence of the nation. He effectivly had several million troops at his disposal, but, most of them were reservists or dedicated to homeland defence. Ridet decided on sending a force of 150,000 troops as well as the 103rd and 212th armored divisions and the 2nd and 4th navel groups.
This force would break through, if necessary, enemy lines and land the troops and armor, attempting to fight their way to the Mestionian lines and reinforce them. Yes, Ridet thought, that would be the plan.

The spider crab and the 9 other Akula class Cruise missile subs line up at the Flank side of the Rebelandi Battlegroup.

"Okay, we'll start off with a torpedo salvo, on the ships, then we'll give the troops on the beach some skeets to shoot" A few men laughed at the joke about cruise missiles.

"Report on torpedo tubes one and two." Gogol commanded.

"One and Two clear sir, for all subs" The weapons officer responded.

"All subs Fire on My command" The tension in the command chamber was thick enough to cut with a knife.

At that moment, twenty torpedos zoomed through the water towards their unsuspecting targets, too busy with the bombardment, and lacking the equipment to break the sub's stealth mechanisms twenty explosions rocked the ocean of the north Shore.

At least 15 of the ships had been sunk, and 5 were crippled.

These accusations are so ridiculous; you must have made half that stuff up. The Snowy Lands of Antarctica is very disappointed in you Rebeland. Our region and allies outnumber you 5 to 1. If you do not meet the terms the Mestionian lays out, then your forces and country will be completely and utterly destroyed.

The 2nd and 4th navel groups, laden with the armored divisions, makes their way towards the waters of Mestionian, hoping to make it in time to back up the remaining Mestionian troops and to protect the nation's independence. Waves of C-130 transports planes launched from airbases to drop troops as fast as they could fly to Mestionian.

Major Vincent Harkov jumped when his threat indicator went off. He leant forward in his cokpit and gazed at the radar screen.

"Hey ducky, we've got chuters" Came the voice of his wingman

"Leave them to the ground pounders Godfather, besides there is nothing we can do about them any way. But we can stop those Troop transports from going home"

With only a few missiles, the transports all went down over Mestionian.

My region is mobilizing over 2 million ground troops to take the fight to Rebeland. Also Ill include thousands of tanks,choppers,artillery,LAVs, and SF teams.

Antarctica will also send many naval vessels and aircraft carriers with plenty of aircraft. When their mobilized theyll be there in over a day.

The Slavgovian 7th Airborne Regiment along with attached units of the 3rd Recon Battalion parachuted into Mestionia to help the Mestionian Forces defend their country. In addition, 2nd Armoured Battalion, part of the 9th Infantry Division was airlifted into Mestionia. The 7th Airborne and 3rd Recon Battalion are inflicting heavy losses on Rebeland forces using Guerilla hit and run tactics.

IC: As of the last session of the Parliament of Argyres, a state of war now exists between the HMR of Argyres and the forces of Rebeland and its allies. We will agree to a ceasefire only upon withdrawl of invading soldiers from Mestionian soil. Godmodding (I.E. 200,000 troops appearing from small countries with no RPing of transport of landing) will lead to ignoring of said countries.

The 2nd and 4th naval sqauds approached the shores of Mestionian unchallenged, it appeared that the Rebelandian forces had already moved inland. Admiral Alan C. Grant turned to his radar operator.

As the transports began to launch, he felt almost worried, here he was, sending his men into battle as he waited on the ship for progress reports.

Argyres admires this stance, but we will not draw ourselves into multiple confusing alliances because of one incident. However, we appreciate the sentiment, and hope this tragic war will help open up trade and cultural exchanges between all our countries.

With the war ended, and the Leppewitz Task Force pulling back into port at Crimson Bay without losing a single man to friendly, or enemy action, the Liberate Citizens are thankful that no more lives will be squandered as a result of foreign aggression, at least for today. Liberate leaders are happy with the overall outcome of the conflict, as not a single Liberate Citizen was forced to give his life in defence of foreign intrest, but however several thousand other mother's sons and daughters were. And in lue of this occurence, The Liberate Government is sending 500 medical personel to the countries of Mestonian, and Rebeland to aid in the treatment of their soldiers and citizens as a result of this costly war. The Liberate Government also contributes 5 Billion Euros to her ally of Rebeland, to also aid in reconstruction.
