What, not offering some slaves to help mine the uranium? To bad.

The Most Serene Republic of Urthuk Khelkhor humbly suggests that you get your economy in such a state that you are capable of funding an armed force equipped with better weapons than spitball blowguns before you start attempting to cut your teeth upon enriching uranium.

I've only got combat slaves at the minute and they are not very good at mining

OOC: LOL here is the 1-3 Day old New guy Who anounces he is Mining Uranum Post per day guy <_< their should be a sticky about this
02-01-2004, 11:48
I have been told to do this from a Postmaster-General.

The Most Serene Republic of Urthuk Khelkhor would like to purchase the entire nation of Yatonsa. Our Most Divine Empress believes that the only trouble we will have in this, will be in convincing our government's budget committees that the price for absorbing your entire economy is an actual outlay and not a rounding error.
02-01-2004, 12:15
Excuse me?. Do you think you will be able to take over Yatonsa?. You cant just take over countrys these days its considerd imoral.

Yeah, Nationstates sucks now because of two reasons.

1. IF you invade someone, 18 other do-good nations drop in. (Wonder why people hate the U.S.?)

2. Each storefront is getting progressively future-tecchy... To the point that invisible armies are just going to fire across a field and hope they don't hit the 2759th Invisible Armour Batallion..
02-01-2004, 12:23
Please dont invade me I have enough on my hands already. You have a much bigger army than I and I really dont like war.

The Most Serene Republic wishes to issue a clarification. We said nothing about invasion. We made a material offer to purchase your entire nation for the total value of its goods and services. According to our intelligence services, your Gross Domestic Product is $3 billion. This is 0.199% of one year's worth of the Most Serene Republic's national budget. So we propose that we buy control of your entire nation's means of production and services, both public and private, out of this miniscule fraction of our government's outlays. As we said, and which was apparently lost upon you, the only difficulty we see on our side in making this transaction will lie in convincing our budget committees that this cost is an actual outlay and not a rounding error, or perhaps a "rider" added to a spending bill for a pet project in some legislator's home district. The proportions of the spending would be about commensurate with such a thing.

(OOC: I am partly trying to make a point here that you don't seem to be getting. You have a very small nation with a "Basket Case" economy, which is to say, you're doing relatively well by your nation's standards to not have "too many" people starving to death in a given year. My nation could pretty much literally buy your entire economic output out of pocket lint. And yet you're sitting here trying to claim that you've got the spare budget to enrich uranium? Uh, no. Poppycock. However, I wished to express this point in RP terms... what your nation calls a GDP, ours calls a rounding error. e.g. Urthuk Khelkhor's national budget is $1.506 trillion, so no one would fault us if we gave a rounded figure of one and a half trillion. However, in doing so, we're literally rounding off an amount of money that's twice as big as your entire GDP. Hence, my point.)

Very well I will not mine Uranium. But I can do it but of course ill be realisitc, in 1 month I wont all off 1 Kiloton of U-235. But my country is rich in Uranium and there is no need to build a production plant because it was built before my Goverment came to power.
02-01-2004, 12:46
OOC: yeah yeah yeah... every country is rich in uranium now a days.

Oh, and theres another reason NS sucks now:

Everyone uses and threatens with WMD; come on, fight a war the right way!

I'm guessing that means "fight"... And yeah, its kindof annoying... I don't use WMDs and probably never will, but they're always used as threats even though half of NS would rain down on you if you actually used them.

It isn't even possible for half of NS to RP on these forums, there bad enough as is.

OOC:  Wow... I never thought I would see the day when newbies started to complain about why NS is not as fun as it used to be... of course, they neglect to say how most wars done nower days don't have a clue on how to RP it properly... I had to slam someone for using 13 million troops in a 20 million population the other day.

Meanwhile, if you can convince me your war is for good reason, I will step aside, otherwise I will stop it cause I'm a mean February nation with nothing better to do.

Oh... and Iuthia doesn't have WMD, however we will make a point of declaring war against any nation who uses WMD for stupid reasons.

There will always be "modern tech", "future tech", and "past tech". There are still many storefronts that sell modern tech naval ships and planes, and armored vehicles.. and basic ewapons too

OOC: Personally I will ignore any nation with technology too advanced in comparison to my own on the principal that they can't be in the same time line as me if their technology surpasses my own...

Of course, this doesn't happen often because I simply point out that while their technology is being claimed to be better then mine, a AK74 still kills you in year 2050 as well as year 2001 and while you can have your uber lazer tech, I still out produce everyone alot smaller then me.
