A small island 50km off the coast of the Austar Union has been officially opened to all refugees fleeing war-torn nations or opressive regimes. Here is the AU's national policy for Refugees:
Article I
To Qualify as a Refugee, you must appeal to the National Coastguard, and not attempt landing on AU Soil. If you do, you will be considered an illegal immigrant and will be sent away. You must be from a nation which is either:
A) Under War Circumstances
B) Under an Oppressive Regime
Article II
All refugees must remain in the community on Molonia Island for a minimum of 3 NS Years. Your case for Refugee Mainland Allowances will be reviewed through-out your stay on Molonia Island. The AU Government reserves the right to deny Refugees Mainland Allowance.
All Refugees must have mainland allowance for a minimum of 4 NS Years before citizenship may be granted. The AU Government reserves the right to deny refugees citizenship in the Austar Union
Article III
Any crime commited by a Refugee will be considered a concession that the AU Government can deny their Refugee status, and possible citizenship depending on the severity of the crime commited.
