ASSAULT RIFLES

Daewoo K2

http://world.guns.ru/assault/daewoo_k2.jpg

Caliber: 5.56x45mm NATO
Overall length: 980 mm (730mm w. folded stock)
Magazine capacity: 30 rds
This is the primary infantry weapon of the South Korean Army. It is a semi-automatic selctive fire weapon. It's folding buttstock makes it an ideal choice for tanks, truck, artillery, etc. crews. The Daewoo also has little recoil.
$700

IMI Galil

http://world.guns.ru/assault/galil-arm-r.jpg

Caliber 5.56x45mm
Length 460 mm
30 round magizine
After the Six Day War the IDF found that the Belgian FN/FAL was too sensitive for desert conditions. The IDF though saw the advantages of the AK-47. So they decided on making a new assault rifle thatwas as rugged as the AK while using the US 5.56x45mm rounds. The Gali might be thought of a modifed AK. Though it excelled many Isrealis were still issued US M16s.
$700

Nikonov AN-94

http://world.guns.ru/assault/an94-1.jpg

Caliber 5.45mm
Length 943mm
30 round Magizine
This new Russian assault rifle is being considered to replace the aging AK-74. Devloped by Gennady Nikonov in the late '80s it was due to replace many if not all of the AK-74s in service. It's unique high speed two shot burst where a trained shooter can make one hole at about 100 yards. But mostly due to ecomical resons the revolutionary AN-94 is mostly used by Russian Speical Forces. The AK series will remain Russia's primary weapon for a long time.
$700

FN FNC

http://world.guns.ru/assault/fn_fnc1.jpg

Caliber 5.56x45mm
Length 997 mm (776 mm with folded butt)
30 round magizine
In the late 1970s the Belgian company Fabrique Nationale combined the AK-47 and M-16 into the FN FNC. It is not made entirly of synthetic parts but it's butt is covered with plastic. It has a folding buttstock and if needed it can be fitted with various teloscopes, infrared, and night vision lenses.
$700

M16A2

http://world.guns.ru/assault/m16a2.jpg

Caliber 5.56x45mm
Length 1006 mm
30 round magizine
This is the primary weapon of the United States Armed Forces. The A2 is a large advancement over the M16A1. The A1's full auto fire was switched to a 3 round burst, the A2 also has a heavier barrel, modified rear sights, spent case deflector, round handguards and modified pistol handle. Jammings are relitivly low in this M16 model. Once the handguard is removed you can put on the M203 40mm grenade launcher.
$700

Enfield L85A2

http://world.guns.ru/assault/l85a2.jpg

Caliber 5.56x45mm
Length 780 mm
30 round magizine
An improvment over the Enfield EM-2. Though an improvment over the L85A2 it is still a troublesome gun. It is at the moment the standard issue weapon of the British Army. It is a bulpup design which means most of the barrel is housed inside the gun. But that makes the ejector nexts to the shooter's face. Quite undesierable to a left hander (But we also but not in great numbers left handed L85A2s). The bulpup configuration makes the gun a bit more compact than most. It is perdicted by 2006 most of the L85A2s will be out of service and probably be replaced by the G36.
$700

SIG 550

http://world.guns.ru/assault/SIG550_2.JPG

Caliber 5.56x45mm
Length (stock open and closed) 998 / 772 mm
30 round magizine
Developed by Swiss company SIG as a competitor for Swiss Army assault rifle contest in 1979 - 1980. The SIG 550 has 3 settings: safe, semi-auto, full-auto. The SIG can also fire rifle grenades by placing the grenade on the flash suppersor. All SIG-550 rifles are equipped with semi-translucent plastic magazines that can be clamped toghether for faster reloading.
$700

Heckler-Koch HK G36

http://world.guns.ru/assault/hk_g36.jpg

Caliber 5.56x45mm
Length (stock open/closed) 998 / 758 mm
30 round magizine
The reason behind that project was that the Bundeswehr (the German army), cancelled the G11 and G41 projects, was left with outdated G3 rifle and no modern rifle. Heckler-Koch was approached to make a assault rifle that used the stared NATO round, should be a flexible, affordable and extremely reliable design. In 1995 the Bundeswehr accepted the HK G36 assault rifle. Used by the German Army and many US and UK police forces.
$700

Heckler-Koch G11

http://world.guns.ru/assault/g11.jpg

Caliber: 4.7 mm caseless
Length: 750 mm
Magazine capacity: 50
A strong, lightweight assault rifle the G11 has a high rate of fire for three round burst. The bullets come out practically one touching the back of the other. It is VERY accurate, but it is not the caseless shells can "cook" in extreme heat.

Colt M4

http://world.guns.ru/assault/m4a1.jpg

Caliber: 5.56mm NATO
Length: 838 mm (stock extended); 757 mm (stock fully collapsed)
30 rounds.
The descendent of the CAR15 this is a scalled down M16. The collapsable stock makes it perfect for room to room fighting where longer barrled weapons are somewhat cumbersome. It can be fitted with a silencer and a number of other attachments.
$700

Kakashnikov AKS-74U

http://www.the-top.com/krink/Images/Bulg/5,45ar-sf.jpg

Caliber 5.45mm
Length: 943 mm
30-round plastic box magazine
This is a smaller version of the AK-74. Built out of the need to equip crews of tanks, guns, helicoptors etc. Has all the advantages of a sub-gun of being light and compact but it is also inaccurate. The AKS-74U uses rifle ammo and magizines.
$700

Machine Pistols

PP-90M1

http://world.guns.ru/smg/pp90m1_2.jpg

Caliber: 9x19mm 7N21 and 7N31, compatible with all 9x19mm Luger/Parabellum ammo
Length (stock closed/open): 424 / 620 mm
64 rounds (helical magazine)

A very interesting machine pistol. It is very compact and perfect for operatives who need some extra lead throwing capablitiy. It's only true drawback it a slow reloading system by pressing the button on the muzzle.
$500

Uzi

http://www.isayeret.com/weapons/smg/uzi/uzi+helemt.jpg

Caliber .9mm
Length: 650mm(stock open)
32 round box
Devloped in Iseral by Usiel Gal in the late 1950s the Uzi is still one of the most used MPs in the world. It is one of the most reconizable gun silouets in the world. It's rugged design has virtually no change since it's birth. The charger handle on the top does not move when the Uzi is fired making it easier to aim. This is the standard Uzi. There are four Uzi variants, standard, mini, micro and pistol.
$500

HK MP-5N

http://world.guns.ru/smg/hk_mp5n.jpg

Caliber 9x19mm
Length 490 / 660 mm
30 magizine
This is the most modern MP-5 to date. The MP-5 is nothing more than a scaled down G3 assault rifle. Over the years many law inforcment agencies, Speical forces units, and others have adopted the MP-5 as their primary smg. Features: plastic trigger group of latest design, with ambidextrous selector lever that uses icons. Barrel is threaded to accept US-made detachable silencers.
$500

FN P90

http://world.guns.ru/smg/fn_p90_2.jpg

Caliber 5.7x28mm SS190
Length 500 mm
50 round magizine
This is one of the most bizzare looking MPs ever. Devloped for soldiers who usually did not use small arms like tankers, truck drivers, artillerymen, etc. It's SS190 round looks like scaled downt 5.56mm NATO round and forces the pointed, steel core bullet to the 600-700 meters per second at the muzzle, thus being capable to defeat standart CRISAT helmets and armour vests at reasonable distances (50-100 meters).
$500

Spectre M4

http://world.guns.ru/smg/spectre.jpg

Caliber: 9x19mm Luger/Para
Lenght (stock closed/open): 350 / 580 mm
30 rounds
A robust and compact MP, the M4 is made for police, anti-terror, SF etc. who desire machine pistols for extra protection. Being made of stamped metal is is quick to produce.

http://world.guns.ru/handguns/1911_1.jpg

Caliber .45
Length 216 mm
7 shot magizine
Accepted into service in the early 20th century it quickly gain favor for being a man-stopper. Though criticed for it's weight it none the less was sought after by many soldiers. It is a very rugged weapon and one of the longest lasting weapons types in US service. But in the 1980s the US Army took it out of service for the Berreta 9mm. Some slightly modified versions are still being used.
$500

Walther PPK

http://world.guns.ru/handguns/walther_ppk2.jpg

Caliber: 9mm

$500

The size of shipment counts on how much you order. Drizzts, I'll be more than happy to arm your paras but how many men are in each division? I need to know so I can check my inventory and can make the proper amount. Normo42, place an order of how many firearms and the money total and I ship them ASAP.
I have my workers in 3 8 hour shifts and are making weapons as fast as possible while still testing them to make sure they fit the standards of quality that is needed. Drizzts, you don't just sling the M16 around the soldier. You use a special duffel bag. A muset bag I think is the name.

OOC: Coming from someone who has use the L85A2 rifle in temperate and desert conditions, I can personally vouch for its unquestionable reliability and accuracy. Is it the one of the most accurate standard battle rifle of any NATO country, and beats the M16. Certainly our marksmanship team beat M16s from Israel and the US.
The press will stir up anything about anything these days - don't believe it!
Oh and also, the L85A2 will be in service well into the next decade. The FIST system is being designed for it!
The bullpup design allows greater CQB manouverability - why do you thing the US made the M4?
Don't take me for an advertiser though, the G36 as standard would be nice, beats carrying this thing when your tabbing it for miles... heavy bugger.

All weapons orders have been confirmed and are being crated and shipped to your nations.

OOC: Li Kam when I had been looking into brand new rifles, my sources had varing accounts of it's accuracy and reliablity. But they did agree on several things: 1st the L85A2 has had a small history of jamming. 2nd that it is likly that the L85A2 would be replaced by another weapon, most likly the G36. 3rd (okay this is mine, I shoot a bit left handed) that having the shells come out next to your face in undesirable.
Oh one more thing what's "FIST"?
Li Kam States
09-01-2004, 07:53
OOC: Hmmm. Ok, the history of jammings that I think you refer to are the stoppages in Afghanistan. This was when our watery friends the Royal Marines were issued with the weapon. Being the first unit to recieve them, they didn't know how to clean them. Their weapons were jamming so they poured more oil on them. As with the A1 in Oman, we found that more oil in desert conditions clumps sand together, forming a gritty goo. Understandably this caused stoppages - frequently on feeding a new round. Since then, they've had a lesson from the guys at H&K on how to service the rife. We've certainly had no problems with it on the ground.

Maybe it may be soon replaced, we've heard little about it!
The reason why we think it'll stay in service is the development of FIST - Future Integrated Soldier Technology. Its expensive and being designed for the L85, so I think the guys up above wouldn't want to modify this for another rifle, though its not impossible...
Check this out - official site is down for some reason.
http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107593&highlight=
Also, is the inclusion of new kit like the UGL - our M203. Apparently its being phased in and will be with us for a while yet. Great piece of kit, check the link for pics.

When you join the British Army, you have to learn to shoot from the right shoulder - shoot from the left and the cocking handle breaks your jaw. Bad? Maybe - but it has its advantages.
