HT-1 Conqueror Heavy Tank
Armaments:
155mm ETC Cannon [50]
M60 Coaxial Machine Gun [2,000]
30mm Chain Gun [1,200]
2 Pentuple Mini-Missile Launchers [60]
4 External Mini-Missile Launchers [24]
22 Claymore Mines
Infared Laser Jammer
Crew: 3 (Driver, Gunner, and Commander)
Speed: 35 Mph Off-Road, 62 Mph On-Road
Range: 225 Miles
Power Source: 16 Rotary Cylinder Methanol Turbine
Height: 11.5 Feet
Width: 15.33 Feet
Length: 45.57 Feet
Weight: 102 tons fully loaded
Cost: 10 Million
Design NOTES: This tank is all about shock armies. The turretless design, heavy gun, and overall lighter armament would make this tank roughly 65 tons. However, this tank has put on almost fourty extra tons, and it's all armour. The standard export tank armour (which is 50% more effective than Dorchester) is laminated and then combined with DU and honeycombed super-ceramics. The turretless design helps against ATGM attacks because there is no weak point to exploit and the armour is continuous throught the body. Unfortunately, mobility is hampered, so it is advisable to use strong combined-arms doctrine is you plan to use this tank in any offensive role.

ST-1 Firefly Infantry Support Tank
Armaments:
120mm Soft Recoil ETC Cannon [30]
M60 Coaxial Machine Gun [2,000]
Automatic Grenade Launcher [200]
4 Mini-Missile Launchers [24]
16 Claymore Mines
Infared Laser Jammer
Crew: 3 (Driver, and Commander)
Speed: 60 Mph Off-Road, 65 Mph On-Road
Range: 500 Miles
Power Source: 12 Rotary Cylinder Methanol Turbine
Height: 9.5 Feet
Width: 10.5 Feet
Length: 32.2 Feet w/ barrel, 26 w/o barrel
Weight: 40 tons fully loaded
Cost: 7 Million
Design NOTES: While no longer deployed by the Imperial Marines, it remains a good tank for those who need more transportable armour. The coaxial M60 is not the American SAW but the Imperial SAW which is produced by Phoenix Defense Idustries and is a first line of defense against infantry. The Automatic Grenade Launcher is meant to engage enemy mechanized infantry with devastating effectiveness. The Mini-Missile launchers serve the same purpose as the externally mounted ones on the HT-1. As a last ditch defense against infantry, five claymore mines are mounted on each side of the hull and three on the front and back.

MT-7 Jackson Main Battle Tank
Armaments:
150mm ETC Cannon [50]
2 10mm Chain Gun [6,000]
2 Side-Mounted Korento ATGM Launchers [8]
2 Turret-Mounted Mini-Missile Launchers [16]
Crew: 3 (Driver, Gunner, and Commander)
Speed: 75 Mph Off-Road, 93 Mph On-Road
Range: 350 Miles
Power Source: 16 Rotary Cylinder Methanol Turbine
Height: 12.5 Feet
Width: 13.5 Feet
Length: 38 Feet
Weight: 78 tons fully loaded
Cost: 8 Million
Design NOTES: While this tank is about thirty tons lighter than the Conqueror, it is arguably more effective at the anti-tank role. The 150mm ETC Cannon gives the Jackson incredible punch and the ATGM launchers on the side of the tank only add to the effectiveness of the tank against other tanks. The mini-missile launchers provide an effective multi-role weapon and the 10mm chainguns give the Jackson excellent anti-infantry capabilities. This is the standard tank of the Imperial Army.

IV-8 Maverick Infantry Fighting Vehicle
Armaments:
80mm ETC Cannon [40]
10mm Chain Gun [6,000]
Turret-Mounted Mini-Missile Launchers [16]
Crew: 3 (Driver, Gunner, and Commander) plus 10 Soldiers
Speed: 78 Mph Off-Road, 96 Mph On-Road
Range: 350 Miles
Power Source: 12 Rotary Cylinder Methanol Turbine
Height: 8.25 Feet
Width: 12.5 Feet
Length: 24.5 Feet
Weight: 28 tons fully loaded
Cost: 2 Million
Design NOTES: This IFV is thought of by many in the Imperial Army and Marines as a small tank that just happens to carry soldiers to the battlefield. It's an understandable thought when the armament isn't a 30mm Chain Gun like in most IFVs but an 80mm ETC Cannon. A 10mm Chain Gun and turret-mounted mini-missile launcher give the IFV its role-signature anti-infantry weapons.

VT-28 Lineback Fast Attack Hovertank
Armaments:
110mm ETC Cannon [60]
40mm Autocannon [600]
2 CIWS [2,000]
2 Side-Mounted Korento ATGMs [8]
Crew: 4 (Driver, Gunner, Commander, Mechanic/Support Gunner)
Speed: 124 Mph All Terrain
Range: 275 Miles
Power Source: Scaled-Down VTOL Turbine using Methanol diluted JP4
Height: 9.8 Feet
Width: 14.8 Feet
Length: 36.1 Feet
Weight: 77.2 tons fully loaded
Cost: 15 Million
Design NOTES: This tank is the first of its kind and the only hover tank developed that does not use gravimetric technology. During its eighteen years under development many different kinds of lift and propulsion system to move the tank were tried but eventually a variation of the VTOL system on the Harrier jump jet was sucessfully tested. This tank is very quick and is designed for lightning-fast armoured thrusts and amphibious operations. However, if the tanks are required to go through normally inhospitable terrain the crew has two weeks worth of supplies and fourty-eight hours worth of air for even the most contaminated areas. Should the thrust-vectors be knocked out a back-up cushion can be deployed to continue operations, although the tank would be operating at a 10% reduced speed. Armament wise, the only thing of note is the secondary autocannon beside the main cannon.

VIV-11 Lineman Fast Attack IFV
Armaments:
30mm ETC Vulcan [1,000]
2 10mm Chain Guns
2 Mini-Missile Launchers
2 Side-Mounted Korento ATGMs [8]
Crew: 2 (Driver, Gunner, plus one space for Comms Officers)
Troops: 12 in MkIII or MkIV SIBA
Speed: 150 Mph All Terrain
Range: 750 Miles
Power Source: Scaled-Down VTOL Turbine using Methanol diluted JP4
Height: 12 Feet
Width: 16 Feet
Length: 28 Feet
Weight: 40 tons fully loaded
Cost: 6 Million
Design NOTES: The world's first hover IFV, it uses the same propulsion system as the now infamous Linebacker MBT. The main weapon on this IFV is a turreted 30mm ETC Vulcan that is very similar to the Vulcan mounted on the A-10 Warthog and with the addition of two Korento ATGM launchers it is fully capable of taking on tanks in its own right, although it would never survive a slugging match with any but the most outdated MBTs.

Tigershark class LCAC
Armaments:
1 Mk44 CAMDS
4 M13 SIBA-MGs
2 Quad SSM Batteries
2 Chaff Launchers
Crew/Cargo:
8 LCAC crew and,
250 Infantry with standard equipment or,
150 Infantry with MkIII SIBA equipment or,
80 Infantry with MkIV SIBA equipment or,
1 Main Battle Tank (2 in overload) or,
3 Armoured Personel Carriers or,
12 Light Trucks
Speed: 60 knots (Loaded), 70 knots (Unloaded)
Price: 100 Million
Design: Powered by a Quantum Nucleonic Fusion reactor, a first for LCACs, this ship is capable of a top speed of 70 knots and has virtually unlimited range which is only hampered by the sea state and endurance of crew and any infantry in the holds. With a height of 21.3 feet, a width of 49.5 feet, and a length of 90.2 feet this LCAC is only slightly larger than a standard LCAC. It should be noted that this ship should not be operated in conditions above Sea State 2.

Orca class LCAC
Armaments:
2 Mk44 CAMDS
4 Eight-Cell Mk72 Tactical VLS
Crew/Cargo:
48 LCAC crew and,
200 Infantry with standard equipment and,
80 Infantry with MkIII SIBA equipment and,
40 Infantry with MkIV SIBA equipment and,
4 Main Battle Tanks (plus crew) and,
8 Armoured Personel Carriers (plus crew) and,
4 EA-32 Helos (plus crew)
Speed: 80 knots (Loaded), 88 knots (Unloaded)
Price: 250 Million
Design: Powered by a Quantum Nucleonic Fusion reactor, a first for LCACs, this ship is capable of a top speed of 88 knots and has virtually unlimited range which is only hampered by the sea state and endurance of crew and any infantry in the holds. Another first is the ability to operate helicopters, and four of them at that. With a width of 102.4 feet and a length of 280.5 feet this LCAC is absolutely monstrous, in fact it's probably the largest LCAC ever designed for military use. It should be noted that this ship should not be operated in conditions above Sea State 2.

Schultaria Prime
17-06-2004, 06:04
The Schultarian Defense Forces would be interested to know if your nation would be willing to allow our nation to purchase the technological rights of the VT-28 Lineback Fast Attack Hovertank. We wish to begin upgrading our defensive forces to better suit our current technological capacity, and we believe that this tank is a step in the right direction for our nation.

Schultaria Prime understands completely if the offer of technology rights is refused; we simply wish to test out the waters for a possible exchange.

6000 ST-1 Firefly Infantry Support Tank @ $42 billion
4000 MT-7 Jackson Main Battle Tank @ $32 billion

for a grand total of $124 billion. Money will be wired upon confirmation. Thank you.

You are not logged in: We fear the strain on your budget would be too much to sustain in one payment, so we request that you make a half payment per year for two years to ease the burden. Of course, your order is accepted.

Granzi: We're going to have to ask you to make the same accomodation for payment as YANLI. Your order is confirmed.

Schultaria Prime: What, exactly, are you suggesting as an exchange. If this was the Firefly, we wouldn't think twice about selling rights, but we're hesitant to do so since the Linebacker in in active service in the Imperial Marines. You must offer us something that will make the risk seem negligable.

Our nation will do what it can to allay such fears, and we hope that these first few proposals show our good faith as a nation.

We hope that you will also peruse our national history; in the complete existence of Schultaria Prime, our nation has never committed an offensive action against another sovereign state.

OOC: Not that I don't like war threads, but I find RP'ing logistics to be far easier if I'm in a defensive situation.

1. A treaty of arms production rights similar in precedence to those already conferred with the nations of Nimzonia and Granzi for said technology.

The link is located here. (http://www.freewebs.com/emschultz/diplomacy.htm)

2. A payment, up front, of $30,000,000,000. This exceeds our maximum payments for such heavy vehicle technology by $16.5 billion, but we are willing to accept any offer you may have.

3. A possible exchange of technology, if you so desire, from Schultaria Prime's State Industries: Designwerks.

The link is located here. (http://www.freewebs.com/emschultz/nationalstore.htm)

Upon review of the technologies listed we have two requests:
*We request access to Schultaria Prime's quantum computing technology
*We request that Schultaria Prime design a ten or twelve cylinder tank engine based on the methanol-powered 6 cylinder.
Schultaria Prime
18-06-2004, 06:09
Our nation will consider said requests pending the final review of this product. However, since you have requested one of Schultaria Prime's most highly guarded computing designs, the decision pending the National Assembly will be far more difficult than expected. While the need to upgrade our defensive capabilities is great, our nation might not be willing to part with a technology that took so long for our nation to develop.

If our final agreement is favorable for purchase then we would ask that you would not be able to resell any component or derivation of Schultarian computing technology based off precedents already established with other technological exchange treaties.

As for the development of any engine technologies, please post the specifications of your Methanol 6 cylinder model. If we do not come to an agreement on the technology rights of the Linebacker, we can at least upgrade the power of our existing tanks to bring them up to an acceptable level of defensive power.
Scandavian States
18-06-2004, 06:27
Please understand that the engineering process for the Linebacker was just as tedious. It took a great deal of skill and experience on the part of both tanks and aircraft engineers to get the results that we did. To increase the likelyhood of the exchange going through we will make it the new M-28A1, which includes a new tactical system, all-spectrum jamming, and a heavier 120mm ETC.

As for the engine, we wish to have a ten or twelve cylinder methanol engine. It should have enough horsepower and torque to propel the Jackson and Conqueror at their present speed ratings and be lighter than our less efficient methanol 16 cylinder.

Also, it should be noted that we never, ever had any intentions of asking permission to sell your quantum computing technology, much less actually doing so. We must ask that the same condition be met for the Linebacker, it's the pride and joy of the Imperial Marine Cavalry and the pinacle of design for our engineers.

How good is the underside, exhaust, and lift system protection of the Linebacker? We are looking for a design that will not be susceptable to a grenade tossed into one of the air intakes, or a frag mine placed near a lift system.

If you'll look at the design of the Linebacker you'll notice two box-shaped things near the bottom of the tank, those are lift jets that when in operation shoot out flames that are in excess of 1,000 degrees farenheight, no person is going to get close enough to slip in a grenade. And minor explosives such as grenades and mines are not going to effect the tank in any major manner because a) the jets are armoured against such party favors and b) the tanks isn't likely to be there by the time the explosive goes off.
