That night, a flight of long range bombers took off from Lapse, to head towards JR. They did not hold any explosive devices though. Rather they were armed with the new Lapsian sonoses. The devices were used to implode the enemies brains by producing a high frequency sound. They could kill people for 100 kms around the landing sight

The Oberleutnant relayed the information to the Oberstleutnant.

"Send up the fighters to intercept!" the Oberstleutnant said, commander of the 1st Nachtjagdgeschwader Wing.

Pilots raced to their fighters and a total of 100 fighter-inteceptors took off with in a 20 mile radius. They destination was to approach the fighters from the front. SAM Radar picked them up at nearly 100 miles out over the ocean and fired 2 SAM Missiles per site.

As the fighters approached the bombers from 30 miles away, they fired their ACA 50 RFLs Air to Air Missiles at the 12 bombers some 20 miles over the water.

Many factions of the Federal Senate are in an uproar following the use of the Sonos devices on the large civilian population centers. It is assumed enemy civilians will die in a war, however the attack was not preceded by a warning, and targeting indiscriminately, which has the potential to result in massive foreign casualties.

It is not known at this time if any Federal Republic citizens were in JR during the attack, however the number is expected to be few, however continued attacks like this without warning for foreign civilians and interests to be evacuated, may prompt the Republic to take more decisive action then the diplomatic protest that has been sent to the nation of Lapse over this use which has the high risk of resulting in nuetral casualties.

No civilian deaths have occured just yet.

The Suprosa was a part of a squadron of ships which Lapse had position in places around the world. Including near nations which have had contacts with Lapse before which were not always pleasant. "We can send out blue group if required"

Blue group took off, the 45 FA/18 Hornets accelerated towards the skirmish

The squadron broke apart in an attempt to break the missile lock, whilst doing this, two of the bombers crashed into each other

the fighters lept into even more eratic manuvers than usual, the pilots were some of the most skilled, but the air was now thick with the enemy missiles. A craft was destroyed off to the right of the leader

100 jets ina small area isnt practicle

Drakonia public demands an answer from it's United Emirate ally, Lapse, as to why civilians are being targeted in this war. The Imperium had intended to help it's ally in this War, but the targeting of civilians is not supported by Drakonia. We demand an answer.

As to the statement made by the Slavers of Commorargh (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110124). We hereby state that any nations, which turn over POWs to that nation will be held responsible as supporting slavery. Actions will be taken accordingly, as is being done with the Slavers.

The War between Lapse and Jedi Revolutionaries has been brought before the members of the United Emirate and our allies. The Imperium is still debating how it will act, as is likely of the other Emirates. Nevertheless, we will not likely stand idly by during this war.

The Imperium is also willing to attempt to personally request support from it's own allies and the rest of Emirates. The carrier group detected the incoming aircraft long before they were in range
"Order the Harriers to launch and hold position 1 Km away from the group, have the Gunboats go and form a circle around, and have 2 CAtfish Skirmish II ships and 2 Bristilian corvettes defending each Carrier. Have the remaining 10 of each in a rough circle around us. The Skirmish I ships go in between the Carriers and the gunboats, keep the torpedo ships away from the fighting" said the squadron commander
Preperations took place amongst the group for the arrival of the enemy.

"The bomber squadron are coming in sir" called a navigation officer, "there only appears to be 8 remaining, and 37 of the origional 45 fighters"
"Have them Land on the Suprosa" ordered the Squad commander, and make sure they take out the sonoses, we dont want them destroyed. Infact, order the Sonos's into torpedo subs and get them submerged. But for gods sake dont let the enemy see you do it"

President Mark Albert was seated in his office, flipping through a report on tourism in the Mule Forest Nature Preserve, when the source of about half of his headaches knocked at his door.

"Enter!" he called, then looked up to see who it was. Oh crap...

"An urgent dispatch from our friends in Drakonia," Frank Pierce dropped the piece of paper he was holding in his hand on the desk, on top of the report Albert had been reading.

"Wait, before I look at it..." Albert reached into a drawer of his desk, pulled out a bottle of aspirin and a bottle of water, and set them on the left side of the desk in easy reach. Pierce took one of the seats opposite the President's desk, eyeing the items with a raised brow.

"Doctor's orders," Albert told him. "I'm supposed to take two whenever I have a migraine. I've also got a prescription for one of the fancy drugs."

Pierce noted that the bottle of pills was half empty. "Bad week?"

"You wouldn't believe it," Albert replied. He picked up the paper. "So, what do the Drakonians want us to help them blow up this week?" He read through, then put the paper back down. "Hmmm..."

"We are allies with Drakonia," Pierce noted. "And this Lapse seems to have a decent enough reason to go to war."

"Decent," Albert snorted. "No such thing as a decent war."

"Sure there is," Pierce grinned. "Any war we win without losing much is a decent war."

The President barked out a laugh. "Alright, put together a message to Drakonia. Tell them they can count on us."

ok, basically after your fighters turned up my bombers returned to a carrier group under escort. Once there, they landed, the sonos's were put into subs and sunk and the fleet took up formation to repel your planes.

Anyway...all infantry and tanks here are outfitted with moderntech, so the tanks wont be using lasers as displayed at the storefront.

The Lapse forces, now in force entering the area lay idle off the coast. At the current time there was no plan of attack due to the unusual wind systems off the coast of JR. The commander of the squadron, General Osley stood aboard his flagship, the Catfish Skirmish II class ship the Repressor thinking of a tactic which was sure to win this war. He had a large force, several squadrons at his disposal. Hundreds of ships, with more on the way, thousandds of troops and planes. His assult would not work using a ground assult, it would be too hard too land the required forces. Rather his tactics would require long range bombing, air raids and blockade.

With Sonos's and Sonob's his squadron would serve its purpose. The war was likey to be extremely bloody but as long as the enemy had a slight brain they would admit defeat soon.

several days later with the high command of his assult on JR Osley planned his tactics. The high command consisted of 5 members, himself, Admiral Ignod in command of the Navy, General Sullivan of the Army, General Tresk of the Airforce and Admiral Emmanual of the Space forces*
Osley: Gentlemen, %Thank you for attending. I did not just ask you to come here to dine upon fine great dane but rather to discuss our war plans for the battles ahead. We are all going to have to work together to defeat this enemy, using wit, courage and of course, skill. At the moment we do not know of where the enemy has stationed most troops. Several unreliable sources say that they are preparing for a beach invasion but until we confirm the location of the enemy we will not attempt anything. Tresk. The job of your men is too find where the enemy is stationed. you have our squadron of planes at your disposal. Do not be afraid of using the stealth planes and other planes we have placed on some carriers.
Tresk: Yes sir. My men will get your reccon isance for you
Osley: At the moment there is little more we can do. We will set up gunboats to blockade the coast, are yopu able to order that Ignod?

Osley: Your men will remain on the troop ships under escort. You are un likely too be used until we havea recconiscance of JR

After the dinner, General Tresk went back to the ship he resided on, the Independance. The heavily armed carrier carried twice the usual amount of planes as the usual catfish aircraft carrier and had much more fire power. "Order a recon mission" he told his secratary, "I want 5 of those spy planes to search all likely locations for the location of the JR military. And have a stealth fighter escort flying above radar, several kilometers away from the spy planes"
After his order had been carried out Tresk went too sleep.
Admiral Ignod returned to his flag ship. A bristilian corvette. One of the more poweful ships of the navy with a decieving name. The Bristilian Corvettes were as powerful as a Catfish Skirmish II ship, and with thicker armor. Not too mention faster and quieter. He ordered a large amount of gunboats away from the fleet to take up a blockade formation on the JR coast

Jedi Master Hoth sat in a meeting with the Oberkommando Der Wehrmacht. Also present was the Oberkommando Der Luftwaffe (OKL), Oberkommando Der Kriegsmarine (OKK), and Oberkommando Der Heeres (OKH).
Oberbefehlshaber Der Kriegsmarines Grossadmiral Wenzy started:

"We have their fleets sighted in. Abwehr reports that heavily armed fleets are coming in. A fleet to large to fit in Jedi's waters without intruding on the surrounding nation's waters. Subsonars and ASW operations are occuring from air, surface, and subsurface vehicles. Those are all operations going on in home waters. However, our Kriegsmarine operations consisted of units abroad have not been effected by the political changes. There are many operations and missions going on in which will affect the Lapse homeland greatly and cause many deaths."

"Wenzy, what do you advise for the current situation here at home?" Jedi Master Hoth asked.

"I say we unleash the Probes at the fleets with in range."

"Done. OKL. What do you have so far?"

"We have signal crews stationed all over the region and abroad. Satellite radar also has been set up. Radar stations have also been set up and are completely hidden to the enemy. As far as air operations, the Luftwaffe has been ready from the begin air campaigns against the enemy and remain on the defensive at the same time. We have the numbers and technology to effectively cover the enemy no matter what he throws at us."

"Good. Keep us safe don't screw up. OKH what do you have in store for us?"

"Everything good sir. Decoy armies have been set up and our real armies are safe from danger. We are ready to repel any invasion as need be. All units are in the positions they need to be in and will not be moved until ordered to. Tunnels and bunkers and trench systems will cover our movements from location to location. Either a fool or a genius would expect to live in a battle if Thee decides to invade."

"I like." The OKW spoke up.

"Sir, I assure you with the combined efforts of all the military branches we can and will defeat the enemy, we hold strategic and tactical ground which will hinder the invasion of any enemy."

"This is all good and pretty, but this will not give us a quick and decisive end to this war. We have to hit them hard and hit them where it counts. Even on a meinute scale compared to the bigger picture, give them a taste of what will happen to them if they continue on," Jedi Master Hoth went on. OKW again spoke up.

"We can launch thousands of V-4s and UV-4s and even some V-5s, but Lapse possesses a military based a lot on the navy. A strike with ground forces or even airforces might be able to do the trick from our military installations abroad. However, not with out heavy losses to that specific mission."

"I do not worry about how many casualties it will take to win the war. We have millions of men in reserve and millions of men to pick from if we have to. Be brutal. Show force. Strike fear into the enemies heart."

The military commanders sat back and thought awhile. At that point the OKH spoke up.

"Sir. The enemy does not know much of the V-4 weapons if anything at all. We need to launch them. But the STS V-4s are only part of a diversion. We want the enemy to think that they are being attack by only air and have them looking up when they should be looking down. UTS V-4s in fact are the ones to do the real damage. There isn't a single weapon in the world that can intercept it in subsurface conditions."

"Keep going."

"Sir, the plan is a diversion within a diversion. If we can destroy most of the fleet or selected ships of the fleet then, that would force the enemy to bring in more warships from home yes?"

"We would expect so," OKK replied, "but of course assuming that could be a mistake."

OKH continued.

"The point is if we target capital ships, supply ships, the warships, the aircraft carriers etc, it would leave the troops ships unprotected. Launch hundreds of V-4s into the air, launch them high enough from the V-4s to drop in rather than glide into the target, and before they visually see the V-4's, it explodes. They start firing at them. They look only up at the sky for the weapons, but when in fact more are coming in under the surface away from the sight of eyes."

Supreme Overlord Time Lapse sat back in his chair back in Lapse. the fleet of ships , surrounding JR were all in position. The time was ripe to make a move.
"Order the 17th Naval fleet to approach the coast near Renderson" Said Time Lapse over sattelite phone too General Osley
"Yes sir" replied the general

Later that night, the 17th fleet, departed the company of the rest of the Lapse fleet. It made its way quickly towards Renderson before stopping 25 km off the coast.
"Order a flight of 2 stealth fighters and a stealth bomber to drop a Sonos onto the cities main military base. Have the sonos be set down several intencity levels so it has an R30 rating." said Admiral Osselage
"Yes sir" replied captain Green
"And also have another flight equipped with a Sonob to attack the ship yards or where they have a high concentration of enemy ships. have an R10 rating on the Sonob"
"Yes sir, will the second flight be 2 Stealth fighters and a stealth bomber?"
"Yes, and the two flights will be simultaneous"
"Yes sir. I will place the order."
"Thankyou Captain"
With that the captain left the bridge
2 hours later
it was 2 am local time and the 6 planes left the fleet. Only the highest members of the Lapse command knew of the mission although many lower ranked personnell could guess the plan. The squadron flew fast, as they were stealth they didnt take precautions such as flying below radar, and the sound they made would not worry anyone. Wartime nations were used to the likes. In fact the attack may not be noticed for several hours until somebody finds the presence of alot of ships destroyed and alot of dad military personnnel.


OOC: What resistance do i find on my little trip out,

OOC2: A sonob is a sonos, except it transmits a Low frequency sound, which would destroy buildings instead of people. So basically the sonob being used above would destroy ships within 10 kms, and weaken the structural integrity of those within 15 km. It also transmits the high frequency

OOC3: R30 on the sonos means that people within 30 km would be killed (short for radius=30). After that around 15 km of people would be permanantly mentally cripples. the next 15 km of people would get a head ache

OOC4: R10 means that structures within 10 kms would be destroyed, 5 kms after that weakened

The light source shot out up through a magnifying glass up towards the sky and reflected off of a satellite from above the atmospere. The satellite in turn sent the light right back down at the 17th fleet. Unbeknownst to the enemy, this light contained the same frequency as the Sonos and Sonab. The light was used to keep it condensed and when the light hit the aircraft carrier, it resulted in a SONOS like event.

okay, now im confused

first off the collector station would probably be destroyed if it was near the sonob. and probably shatter under the sonos. and if they were far enough awayfrom the sonos/b they wouldnt be recieving much energy as the sound only last for a couple of minutes.

You have to remember miles are larger than km's. Second, sound will continue forever, it just spreads out farther as it goes. These dishes can pick up sounds a great distance away.

although it seems that your weapon is very focused. all it would achieve is one ship destroyed and alot of superheated water. possibly even tsunamis because of it.

the magnifying glass would have been destroyed by the sound. thus, you have a pretty weak weapon

Admiral osselage watched in horror as a number of his ships were destroyed by a large beam coming from space. It looked like a sonos effects but what was this light?.
"Order whole fleet too submerge" he called out
The advantages of a submersible battlke ship were limitless. If it wqas a sonos related item then the water would hopefully distort the sound.
"Order the fleet to stay submerged until i give to order"
Ten minutes later:
"Ok, get a torpedo ship to rise to the surface, and see whats happening"
"Yes sir" replied a communications officer.
The torpedo ship rose. When the ships commander looked out, he could see debris everywhere.
"There is a lot of debris sir, and the way its moving, it seems as if there is alot of water movement. I wouldnt be suprised if there were some large waves crashing onto the JR coast tonight."
"And what of the fleet?"
"im not sure sir. there are gunboats around stil, that appear okay. I am actually contactingb them now."
"Is it safe to come up?"
"We believe so sir."
The submerged fleet rose and took a stock take. It appeared asi if they had lost an aircraft carrier, 2 catfish Skirmish II ships, 2 bristilian corvettes, 3 Catfish skirmish I ships, 25 catfish gunboats and 2 catfish torpedo ship. A large force. But the effects of the sonos and sonob was deffinatly worse\, especiaslly the effect of the laser beam on the water patterns. dead sea creatures would alsom occur.

Back at Lapse
When Supreme overlord Time Lapse heard of what had happened tyo the 17th feet. He was very very pissed off.
"Order the space fleet to attack all JR sattelites, and their allies. We may be able to stop this from happening again"
"Yes sir" replied the space fl;eet master. "it will be done."
"Make sure it is!. assign 20 Imperial star destroyers to the task. make sure they take the usual load of tie defenders than another 2000. we can not risk this wepaon being used against us"
"Yes sir" he replied again

Later that day. A huge squadron of Imperial star destroyers left the Lapse space facilities. Jumping toJedi revolutionists space area. their mission was simple. To obliverate any trace of JR sattelites. the squadron completed a scan of the area

"Tell Admiral Clergy of the Super Start Destroyer Chimeara to set the coordinates for earth. Inform Jedi Master Hoth of the coming events and that all is going according to plan. Have Clergy and the Enforcer fleet to be battle ready ASAP when we arrive."

"Aye sir." The Clemenceau zipped into hyperspace at that time.

The military spokesman pushed through the press, each yelling questions. "Ah, look, all of you, go to hell, I'm reporting to the Commander." Shortly after, riot police used tear gas and rubber bullets to break up the fighting.

The military minister ran into Commander Soldant while he was walking around downstairs, waiting. "JR has decided to accept our assistance."
"Excellent," said Soldant "we'll help by defending ground targets, tell him all we need to know is where to go."

The diplomacy minister stepped in. "Um, Lapse won't like this..."
"That's okay" said Soldant, smiling, "I don't like him either."

nahh, im not doing anything against you. I have a fleet blockading JR and a large fleet guarding Lapse, not too mention in and outer atmosphere Tie defender patrols at both fleets.
