Good point. You'll have a supercharger (cuz there's no sense in having a turbo when bigger is better), Jangle.

I do not believe you can have both a turbo charger and super charger. A supercharger, in essence, is a turbocharger. It's just bigger, and puts out more hp than a normal turbo.

Accually you are Wrong, Supercharger and Turbo are Differant and cars can have both, but i think in this case it would be better to choice only 1 of them.

Our support team will consist of two parts:

There will be 4 cars in the first part, all stripped down to raise their maximum speed. In return, 2 of them will carry trailers carrying spare parts, and two will carry trailers in case any of the jeeps (including the actual race car) break down. They will follow in convoy (in a column one car across, to avoid blocking roads) right behind our racing car. They will contain technical staff, spare parts and the manager and other essentials. There will be 4 of them to avoid leaving a support car behind should it break down, while at the same time keeping cars following the race car.

The second part will contain larger, slower vehicles, such as our trailers full of parts, and equipment lest there is no accomadation between some stages. They will travel behind the competitants, so as to avoid any entanglements that might disrupt the race. They will also follow road routes where available, lest the course go cross-country.

Alright- here we go!

IC: David showed up at Strassilipol, Scout and all. Damn, he thought, Some badass competition, but nothing I can't handle. He reclined his seat and stared up in the sky. "Over azure skies..." he mumbled, the nearly nodded off. The ride must have been a damn site harder on him than he thought. Won't have time to do much in race napping. Gotta shake this shit off. He sat up straight, and re-examined his surroundings. Falastur's team was working like the devil, getting all their supplies unloaded, and Dave almost audibly laughed when one of Falastur's supply team's younger members spilled a whole crate of flywheels. It was hard to miss Patoxia's entry, the loud putt-putt of it's ancient engine protesting. New Valua's entry was much quieter and almost slipped by unnoticeably. Some others stramed in, but the last bit of comic releif was provided by a Ford GT-90 that showed up. Almost on cue, several teams broke into song:

"Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer, He's a demon on wheels.."

Finally, his thoughts concluded, Here we go...

Chapter 1: Miestro, William Tell Overture, Please!

"Will all racers please proceed to the starting line within the hour. We repeat, Will all racers please proceed to the starting line within the hour."

It was much less a question than an order. In an instant the sleepy aura of the camp changed to an aura of tension- it was zero hour. All the participants were dashing about to finish the final inspections of their vehicles. In fact, the Scout was in its final phases of fine tuning- you could tell by all the egghead talk of the mathematicians who were arguing how tight the optimal gear ratio would be.

45 minutes pass.

"Ladies and gentlemen! The race will commence in 15 minutes! This is what you've been waiting for!"

Dave revved the hardy International Scout one last time before race time. He gave the dashboard a paternal pat, then hopped out to don his racing gear.

"Time until race: 5 minutes. All racers, to your cars!"

Thomas Seth and James Crusow, Thomas's navigator, Pulled the modifed beyony belief Bronco to the start line.

So James, have you conducted the final tests on the Bronc?

Yes Thomas, all systems are go. we are ready to initiate engine.

Alright then, lock the winch and inflate the tires to PSI 2.5 (Bladien Mesurments)

Affirmitive Tom. Tires fixed, we are ready.

Fasten your seatbelt James. Lord Howitzer will be mad if we loose this race due to an unnessiscary accident.

The Bronco pulled up to the finnish line and started the engines. the race was about to commence.
10-01-2004, 04:12
the Land Cruiser's engine roared like a 747 as it pulled up to the starting line. it revved, shaking like a trampoline, and screeched to a stop.

"he Dan, looks like some people decided that new cars can do better than older cars." scoffed Maxwell

"Typical young-person kinda thing." replied Dan cooly.

The Roycelandian's Earth Rover was well suited to any terrain- the Imperial Guard swore by their performance in Africa, and now was the time to see how it handled when it wasn't being shot at.

"I hope you bought the Coffee, Hicks!" the Driver laughed as he started the engine.

"Indeed I did... Along with a few other 'extras'..."

"I'm not sure I want to know..."

As the Ford Himalaya pulls up to the starting line Martin thinks to himself "I wonder how good these guys are.Not as good as me, I'm sure," in an obnoxious voice.

A few mintes later his crew walked up to get the routes straight while Martin doodles with his pencil. When the crew is done talking the pit chief starts to go nuts when he figures out that he's been doodling with his pencil. Still, He messes with the buttons on the stereo.

Chapter 2: Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money - the Shit has Hit the Fan!

Beep

5 seconds.
4...
3...
2...

One.

Kaboom! 2 shots from a Relicarms Heavy Tank tear through the air! The race is on!

(BTW: Ill roleplay this round- but then ill tell you what you roll, you roleplay it in)

Patoxia: Yor truck, even ancient, slowly rumbles to life. It lurches forward at an excruciatingly slow pace, but slowly picks up speed. (You barely avoided a crit failure, rolling a 4+2=6, you lucky)

New Valua: Your truck (Rolled a 9+2=11) bounces off the line, speeding past Patoxias entrant.

Roycelandia: Your Earth Rover (rolled a 13+2=15, nice roll dude), blows past New Valua's and Patoxia's entrant.

Jangle: Your GT-90 (rolled a 5-1=4) barely moves in the soft desert sand, and almost bogs down. However, it pulls itself free, but not before New Valua, Patoxia, Sileetris, Crimson Blades, and Roycelandia pass you.

Crimson Blades: Your Bronco (15+2=17 wow  ) blasts ahead, its softer tires tearing through the sand.

Sileetris: Your hummer (rolled a 7+2=9) has a pretty good takeoff, but not good enough: New Valua, Crimson Blades, Roycelandia, and Patoxia

ISAF: I rolled an 11+2=13 8) . My Scout makes a better takeoff thean Sileetris, but I'm still behind Blades and Roycelandia.

Dr_Twist: Your rally car (rolled a 7+3=10) zips in front of silletris, but cant seem to pass any further cars.

Falastur: Your SUV (rolled 14+2=16) blasts past all, but blades quickly swerves and blocks your path, keeping you from passing!

Current Standings:
1st: Crimson Blades
2nd: Falastur
3rd: Roycelandia
4th: ISAF
5th: New Valua
6th: Dr_Twist
7th: Sileetris

The Roycelandian EarthRover shot off at the starting line- gliding over the sand as if it was flat asphalt.

The crew took turns keeping an eye out for the competitors, and after being overtaken by Crimson Blades and Falastur during and incident involving Hot Coffee being spilt all over the map, they get their act together and continue to fly across the sand- those SandRunner Tyres from Roycelandian East Africa were an excellent idea...

OOC: Some very impressive rolls there... just wait till the dirty tricks come out!
