--Mekantan Central Information Service--
The MCIS splash screen fades to show an interesting change from the usual AI presence on Mekantan broadcasts. A woman who looks human enough, save the "eye streak" markings on her left cheek, stands in front of a podium. The writing at the bottom of the screen identifies her as Adjutant, a position in the Mekantan Empire somewhere between religious and political leader.
"Greetings, people of the world. For the first time in our existance, we are willing to allow visitors from various parts of the world to visit Mekanta, and the holy ground it is built upon. The will of the great god Machina demands it. Anyone wishing to travel to Mekanta may contact our External Relations core using the processes described at the bottom of your screen. Thank you."
The Adjutant leaves, and is replaced by a MAI-X humanoid robot, the usual on MCIS, who glowers at the screen. "In other news, I still think this is a terrible idea... Regardless, for the fifth year in a row, the TechKnights have won the UtopiaNet Crown in Kendo..."
