A DGNT terrorist group 'D'pressin Liberation Peoples Army' has made a public broadcast. See attached:
"People of Dontgonearthere, many years ago in ancient times the armies of D'pressin and G'oaway fought for this land. As you may know the Gwainians won, and turned D'pressin into a vassal state. Slowly the Gwainians conqoured all of what is now Dontgonearthere. The DLPA seeks to liberate the state of D'pressin and give it back what it has lost.
Our demands are simple. Dontgonearthere is to remove all military forces from the region and give D'pressin full rights of soverignty. If our demands are not met, then we will unleash the I_Flamma in all of the major cities of DGNT, the virus will spread over the entire country and kill many, many people. Again. Free D'pressin or face the consequences."

The message was traced to a broadcast relay station about twenty miles away from G'oaway, the capital of DGNT, the maintenance and operators were found dead with copies of the message written on their bodies.

We believe the terrorists could be operating out of other countries and ask for a check of military and civilian sites where it is possible to store biological weapons. Datafile on I_Flamma virus forthcoming.

DGNTs military and police forces are now on high alert, personel in DGNT embassies are urged to remain within the compounds and seal all doors/windows. Forign persons inside DGNT are asked to remain indoors as much as possible. We do not want a hostage situation.
Countries with embassies inside DGNT are asked to aid in the investigation as possible.

Desc:
I_Flamma is a supervirus devloped thirty years ago by GLACORP and DGNT in the days when we had need of WMD. The Virus is deployed in a similar manner to most bioweapons of our devising, via canister and spray method. As to the actual virus:
Est. Inncubation per.: 3 days
Est. Rate of reproduction: splits once per ten minutes
Required for lethal infection of healthy immune system: thirty virii
Rough lifespan of infected: 5 days
Symptoms: Coughing, blood in bodily wastes, fever, stomache aches, vomiting, headaches.
Effects: The Virus targets the 'main' organs, heart, stomach, liver, brain. Once infected the virus inccubate in the bloodstream. Once active it attacks the cells of said organs and doubles its reproduction rate.
THe project was discontinued under directive 'Ceasation of Bio/Chemical weapons production'.
Progess had reached late testing stage. It was thought that the virus was destroyed but apparently somebody got some.

Investigations are continueing.

Benevolent Nations' minister of international security sat down with the president of the republic to discuss the morning terrorist reports.

"Sir, we have a new one on our watch list. Terrorists within DGNT are threatening to use a virus known as 'immortal fire' to combat the governmental forces."

"What do we know of this virus?" the president asked of the science advisor.

"Well, as viruses go it's a pretty nasty one. It is supposed to kill very quickly and in very horrific ways. It makes ebola look pleasent. However not much is known about it because of the testing was ceased after a change in directives regarding WMD," the science advisor reported.

The Chief of Staff of the Benevolent Nations International Defense Force (BNIDF) cut in, "As a military weapon it has limited uses, namely true terrorism, not massive destruction. The problem with it, like many super viruses, is that it kills too quickly. It is relatively easy to contain. Also it has to be spread via canister or spray methods, and regular Level IV bio suits should protect against it. Once an area is infected the only thing to do is to quarintine it and let the people die. Unless we can find a cure or immunization against it."

"Mr. President," began the political advisor, "The DGNT is not a nation we would normally associate with. Their government has been on our watch list for political corruption and human rights violations. If we help them it could hurt us in the international arena."

The President stood up and looked at all his advisors nodding gravely, "It seems DGNT is stuck in a dangerous place. I cannot stand by and let terrorists use biological weapons against anyone, even if it means helping a government known to be corrupt. Perhaps we can work on changing things and open a forum for the grievences of the revolutionairy group. But first we need to prevent the spread of bio terrorism. Contact their ministers and offer the assistance of our Counter Terrorist Agency and it's Bio-weapons division. I don't want this to get uglier than it already is. Dismissed."

DGNT has begun evacuation of various areas within cities deemed highly vulnerable to terrorist actions. Water purification plants have been sealed, and sewage pipes are now under guard.
An additional detachment of Imperial Guards have been dispatched to Dontgonearthe Castle.

Just a little factoid...DGNTs lower levels of government are corrupt, but its top level (The only one that matters) is quite efficfient, since its only one person.

Is there any way for that virus to infect someone assuming the person had a gasmask that could block it entering through the nose/mouth?

Can you be immune to it through genetics.

A gasmask can delay infection, the virus takes longer to penetrate skin, but will eventualy, so you can go about three hours in an infected area, then if you are immidiatly deconed you probobly wont get infected.

Unit Alpha, Counter Terrorism Agency - Biological Warfare Division aboard a specially modified C-5 Galaxy, escorted by a trio of F-23 Grey Ghosts...((The C-5 is outfitted as a mobile lab, hospital, and base of operations for the CTA-BWD teams. It is has several areas that are completely sealed from the rest of the aircraft. It's living quarters are separated from the rest of the plane. It's not unlike a shuttle in the atmosphere designed to let nothing in or out in case of biological attack))

"Okay Team Leaders, Listen Up!" called out Colonel Alexi Varsokov, Unit Commander, "We'll be entering DGNT airpace in a few minutes. As soon as we cross the border we will begin our mission. I want airborne analysis of the various levels of clouds as we descend through them. When we land we are to begin treating the entire country as if it is contaiminated. We're here to help find a way to combat this bug. Intelligence, I want you to link up with DGNT internal security, or whatever it is called to try to gain access to all the records on the creation of this thing. Disaster Prep Team, I want you to work with their military and civil defense to draw up how we are going to combat any outbreaks. Are there any questions?"

Major David Schlossmier, Threat Analysis Team (TAT) Leader, raised his hand, "Have the terrorists given a deadline for the military to start pulling out of the region?"

"No," Col. Varsokov replied. "As far as we are to be concerned the terrorists have already released the bug into the system. We were cleared to enter the country three days ago, if anyone was infected on the day of the broadcast it is just now going to be showing up. I don't want any non-protected contact with personnell unless they have been cleared through blood testing. Viruses should show up very rapidly within a day or so of infection."

"Are we to assume that will we be targets of the terrorists as well?" asked security forces team leader, Major James Wallace.

"That is an assumtion I would operate under. We should try to keep our security measures subtle but definetly firm. We could be in a country full of the walking dead with people who hate us because we failed. Or we could be going into a country which will have people who hate us because we are being successful. Also, there are no formal diplomatic relations between ARBN and DGNT. Let's be careful out there..."

In the cockpit of the aircraft...
"G'oaway Approach, this is Relief Flight Lead. We are a flight of an MC-5 and three F-23As, inbound for landing requesting clearence into your airspace..."

"This is G'oaway IASP, you are cleared for landing. Keep to assigned course or YOU WILL BE FIRED UPON. Once at the terminal you will be met by INS who will escort you to your setup site, there you will meet with the DGNT personel assigned to the project. A brief technical summary of our equipment is enclosed." A brief pause. "You will also be receiving Nbot treatment to delay any effects of the virus if you are infected, see summary for Nbot info. The President will be along shortly to welcome you"

In the air in front of the cargo plane a group of small hovercraft float into view and arrange themselves into a line just above the planes cockpit

"Just follow the drones, and everything will go smoothly, G'oaway tower out"

The flight crew looked at each other as they studied the information relayed to their MFDs..."Um, Roger Tower...Following the drones."
The crew put their aircraft down on the runways skillfully and taxied carefully to the terminal.

Three technitions in level IV biohazard suits hopped out of one of the airlocks of the ship and checked the air for any pressence of the virus. Not finding any they gave a thumbs-up to the cockpit.

Col. Varsokov stepped out of the aircraft looking at all of the futuristic technology around him. "Hmmm...this should be interesting," he thought to himself. He spotted the INS agents and walked toward them. He stood a comfortable distance from them and looked them over. He clasped his gloved hands behind his back. "Good Afternoon, I'm Colonel Alexi Varsokov, Unit Commander."

The agent paused briefly, then after a short buzz and the helmet grill speaks:
"I" He used the term as if not very familiar with it "am Agent Nicholson, this is Agent Stibbons. You will accompany us to the hanger set aside for your use. Quarters nearby will be provided if you require them, any atmospheric or nutritional needs can be arranged with the staff. Your aircraft will be stored in the hanger. Please follow."
Both agents begin to walk to a group of monorail cars.


Broadcast by DLPA:
"Greetings again. This is the D'pressin Libertion Peoples Army broadcasting. We restate our demands for the evacuation of our homeland and the reinstatement of its government. You now have seventy-two hours to leave the former D'pressin Empire. If you do not we will release the virus in one city at random, and for every twenty four hours the DGNT government occupies the state after that we will release it in two more cities. That is all"

In the GIASP hanger:
"Ahhh, gentelmen, welcome to our humble abode!" A man who is about as fat as most DGNT citizens get (which is not very fat) greets the group of BN personell "I'm sorry if the Agents were rather stoney, its the government training, y'know? They think that it keeps people in order and all that. But in any case, now that your here, we welcome you. I am Doctor Gerad, this is my assistant, GC-982-3453, Keith, as we call him. Its from the Hive." A mechanical praying manits steps forward and offers what could possibly be a hand.
"Gr'eet'ings, I a'm num'ber 3453, we'l'come to Do'nt'g'one'artheeerr"
The doctor notes the rather shocked looks.
"The Hive was a military supercomputer developed quite some time ago, and rather like 'Skynet' in the old Terminator movies it attained sentience, but we worked out a deal with it and both worked for the betterment of the other. Basicaly its a collection of individuals all linked to the central computer, they're individuals, but they know everything everything else thats linked does. They run most of the computers here so its usualy wise not to offend them much" He says meaningfuly.

Col. Varsokov shook 'hands' with 'Keith.' "A pleasure to make your aquaintence." He seemed somewhat uneasy, although not with speaking with a machine. He pulled smartly on his black leather gloves and clasped them behind his back. His piercing green eyes surveyed the hangar as the big C-5 and F-23s were towed into it.

The rest of the team leaders piled out of the aircraft and lined up along the side of it.

Col. Varsokov introduced them each to Dr. Gerad starting with his tall dark-skinned dark-eyed second in command.

"I'd like to introduce my second in command, Lt. Col Casio Rivera," the slender man saluted and shook hands firmly with Dr. Gerad.

Col. Varsokov stepped to his somewhat shorter and stockier Threat Analysis Team leader, "This is Major David Schlossmier, Threat Analysis. He'll be working with the military to determine where, and how the terrorists will strike. To help ensure the safety of our team, our Security Forces Team Leader, Major James Wallace. Finally, we have the leaders of our medical team, Majors Leto and Ganama McCaffrey."

"Good Afternoon," Major Ganama greeted with a slight nod, her brown eyes sparkling with golden flecks in them. "It should be interesting working with you and your team."
