New invention
The Peoples Republic of Rotara have drawn up the Blue Prints for a Jet Pack. The Rocket Pack has been drawn up aswell because it would have more thrust but would consume so much fuel.
Dictator Anderson sat at his desk looking through his computer. He was reading about Rotara working on a jet pack.
Fascinating. I shall have to inquire into this new jet pack.
Dictator Anderson quickly wrote out an email.

I have recently heard of a new jetpack you are developing. I will be keeping tabs on this project as an improved jetpack would be very beneficial to my nation. Could you please send me additional information on this project? Thank you.

We are interested in your invention, however we would be interested about further details about this Jet Pack.

And what exactly protects the user... for it seems that a rocket pack would burn someone without, say, full armor...

You could just shoot the Rocket Pack and it would explode killing the user too.

Mr. Anderson this is Premier John Harold we are glad that you would like details on our Jet Pack. Well there is a tank which has a Hydrogean-Oxygean fuel mix. There is another tank which has Compressed Nitrogean(or something).
The Compressed Nitrogean flows into the Hydrogean-Oxygean mix which then pushes it into another tank. In there it is heated and flows through tubes which are covered with a heat proof material to conserve heat.
The Hydrogean-Oxygean mix leaves the Jet Pack through these tubes and the water vapor which flys out with it causes action-reaction which lifts the Jet Pack up into the air.
You could just shoot the Rocket Pack and it would explode killing the user too.
Good point... that could be funny if it were used for military or civilian purposes.
I mean a massed assault team flies up, one gets shot, the resulting explosion sets off the others... The entire invasion force is killed.
But try useing them in a city?. The soldiers useing them could hop over buildings and move so eratically that they would be very hard to lock onto.

I dont know, you can get some pretty good handheld rocket thingys that can lock on and fly very very fast...

rocket fuel only contains Hydrogen and Oxygen, the resultant reaction and sheer heatgiven off by the rocket is what prjects the person(s) through the air
