Idea: International News (Please Read)
Ok..
I've had the idea for a while
What it is.
There are a lot of things going on in NationStates role play society. A lot of things people don't know about. The plan is to put out a post a week (or some other frequency) that gives international updates, major events and the side everyone involved, advertisments, etc.
How do I get my event in the paper?
If you have some event you want posted (not an ad!), you can telegram me, or contact me by other means (listed at bottom). You must include (if applicable):
Link to thread
Brief descritption that maybe edited
Pictures if any (links to them)
Names and positions of anyone involved
Other essential information
What if I don't have the time to contact you?
Too bad. If I do see some interesting event not listed already, I will look it up and write a story on it.
Ads
Please, no long descriptions. Ads can be for:
Storefronts
Up comming events
Regions
Not all entires have to be posted. It is the INT (International News Team)'s discression to put in what we think is nessesary.
I might need some people to help and be part of the news team, maybe we chould have certain people for certain things. (IE: Someone for ads)

It's still a good idea. I don't think people have a lot of time to read a lot of threads. If thread owners would give summaries of their threads and someone would organize it and post it, the effort required to find a good RP would decrease 50-some percent, minimum. This should probobly get stickied if it actually ends up being done.

Before I made my Har Land News Network thread, I was thinking of doing a more international paper. However I don't stay active enough on the forums when school time comes back around.
I think this could work out really well, but it could be a larger undertaking. Perhaps, TROUSRS, you should make a small collective of nations that would run the news. It would sure lighten the burden and help keep things fluent.
I was thinking that only nations that would contact TROUSRS would be in the newspaper. As only people genuenly involved in RPing in the threads would care to post a summary of them.

yeah, how about only 10 at the max, and 5 or 6 more who aren't going to be on all the time. Because, if you have two or three hundred nations, It will be like the forums. I will be one of the 5 or 6 who aren't on all the time, because I have school too. :( But I have weekends off, so I can help then. :D

Will the INN read like a news program or newspaper type thing, or will it just be a summary of RP's with ad's here and there?

I think it is a great idea. Would it be possible to know beforehand wether an RP is Open or Closed?
We'll work on getting a team together, then I will announce when you can submit your ads and stories.
