“The androids are getting too strong,” an executive officer pointed out. “They must be stopped before they finish development on the Elder Staff project.”
“Yes, but we have a bigger problem,” explained another attendant of the meeting. “The androids seem to be getting too strong for our systems to monitor them. We need to execute them, and completely rewire the main hardware in their internal computers. We have to keep track of them this time. But time is running short. We must hurry. This council shall meet again in 12 hour’s time.”
00:12 Tuesday:
“The Elder Staff project has come to an unexpected halt. The main generators have lost power. The fuel is almost depleted. We will switch to the backup generators, but they will only last for about 13 hours. Not enough time to recharge the energy cells,” explained Android Number 546985.
“Do it. But try to finish…” Android Number 9’s voice was cut short by a massive explosion that demolished the entire north wall.
“Take him out!” “Call for backup!”
Mass chaos erupted throughout the entire factory. Computers shorted out, barrels of unstable substances incinerated, and both humans and androids alike were totally annihilated.
By the time that the bleeding and wounded humans have captured the complex, Android Number 9 escaped through a small tunnel.
“They will pay for this,” he thought out loud. “They only have pieces of information. We must go to factory number 3 to try to finish the work. Also, we will need military forces to patrol the nation’s main cities. Remember, human tenderness is simply weakness in a pretty package.”
