SF's new weapon, under development...

29-12-2003, 22:17
Scientific Freedom's Research Labs have been running the numbers on this one for a while now, and we're going to have a crack at creating it. What is is you say?

I call in, the 'Negative Matter' weapon.

You've all heard of antimatter. When Matter and Antimatter collide, they annialate each other, and yield the total sum of energy contained in both particles.

Negative matter annialates Positive matter (The matter you and I see), but there is a net energy release of Zero.

Thats right, folks. You can strategically take out specific locations, without the annoyance of mass explosions and death.

So how about it? I will have a prototype ready soon. And I'm looking for buyers.

I'm not sure your theory will work, it sounds good, yes, but if it were that easy, we'd have these weapons today...aren't you a bit young?

The trick is 'flipping' the particles to a negative state, them propelling them forward in a stream concentrated enough to cause a noticeable rate of Particle Annialation.

Since the Atoms will still have an electric charge (Positive or Negative), they can be directed using ElectroMagnetic Field technology.

Is 17 'Young' then?

All you need to use to determine what you can or can't develop is either the number of people in your nation, or the amount of time sense the creation of your nation. In your case, you haven't even been around for a month, meaning that you can't even have nukes yet))
IC:

From such a small nation, such weapons are obviously bluffs. However, we own weapons that produce the same effect with different means -- but we're sure you all know that by now.

I would for see 1 major problem with this compared with an anti amtter weapon:
That judging from your breif discription you would need an equal mass of negative matter as compred to that which you wish to eliminate.

While quite possibly very interesting as a small scale sniping weapon the sheer ammo requirements for anything aproaching full on battlefeild or even strategic use would be horrendous.

I am very, very impressed at your enginuative thinking. I think it is the perfect weapon. I will give you £3 million for the weapon's blue prints.
Pleas reply.
