Young Nation Seeks Ships for its Newly formed Navy

29-12-2003, 13:12
The fledgeling Military of The Knights of Falmir would like to form the first Flotilla of our newly formed fleet. As of now we havent but a single ship in our Navy.

Captain Harward Stern is eager to assume controll of this Flotilla.

We would like to purchase only small Corvettes roughly 1000+ Tons in Size.
All ships must not be the same size. We would care for about nine ships to form a full Flotilla.

If there are any Patrol Boat's for sale we would be intrested as well.

You can have five obselete ex-US patrol boats for free as we replaced those with Uber hydrofoils. They are rather slow and not much use to us now.

OOC:Pathetic.......
IC: HRH's governments of Midlonia and Midlania offer an old battleship, that has been salvaged from our port after the terrible military incursion between Midlonia and Oppressor/ASW. We have re-christened her...

Falmir would gladly accept the patrol boats Jeruselem, as we have none these will improve upon the situation, you see we have only civilian ships and civilian drydocks for production.

King Robert Rime sends his thanks to Midlonia and greet you saying we are deeply honour about the christening, however did you intend for us to have the ship as a gift? In either case we are greatful.

If it would not be an inconvinience could we perhaps inquire upon some of the technical details concerning these ships.

Also we are still searching for about nine roughly Corvette sized ships, any responses would be highly appreciated.

*duct tapes an old corvette from a scrap heap to an Xabregas and glues the axle to a set of mini-paddles, so it's self-propelled*

Ahh alas you prove me wrong, any serious response would be highly appreciated.

The offer is greatly appreciated altough i have already purchase several ships on a larger large contract and i feel i cannot commit more money to my naval program just yet. maybee another time.

I am still awaiting a reply from midlonia, also about those patrol boats from jerusalem.

Yes ... (stole this from another site because I did say it was an obselete US patrol boat)

The newly designed 87' Coastal Patrol Boat has several enhancements over the aging 82s, including improved mission sea keeping abilities (up to sea state 5), significantly upgraded habitability, and compliance with all current and projected environmental protection laws. It also employs an innovative stern launch and recovery system using an Aluminum hulled inboard diesel powered waterjet small boat. The vastly larger pilot house is equipped with an integrated bridge system including an electronic chart display system (ECDIS) which interfaces with the CG’s new surface search radar. SWIII computers along with a fiber optic network will also be installed, allowing the crew to access the vessel’s CD-ROM tech pubs and drawings.

The knight of Falmir is intended as a gift, it is a little like the Bismark but has had it's systems updated somewhat.....
31-12-2003, 16:29
Does it have the same size and survivability of the bismark? Indeed this is a great gift for our naval power lacking nation, The Knight of Falmir will soon take position as our flagship.
Midlonia
31-12-2003, 16:37
It is slightly heavier and has a higher survivability rate than the original bismark

we also offer an alliance across the seas, this for both military and economic support HRH's fleet of Midlonia and Midlania contain the following....
20 battleships similar to the Knight of Falmir (10 in each fleet i used midlania's economy so my navy isn't god-moddding) 2 aircraft carriers 10 attack submarines.

ground forces are at about the 800,000 mark (split between air, tanks, ground troops, artillery etc.) of both combined nations.

We await your response

I would like nothing better than to establish friends with oversea nations however as i am part of a current alliance that acts as one, i must consult the other members firstly.

Is that your entire fleet by the way? seems rather vulnerable without any escort ships.

Our fleet as of now is only a single flottilla of 18 Destroyers and now our Battleship Flagship. The knights of Falmir is focused on our highly effective landbased army numbering about 240.000 troops, they are very well equiped, at least by our standards.
Midlonia
31-12-2003, 16:53
Yes at present we are re-building our destroyers after a naval incursion by a couple of more powerful states, we also ask you to seriously consider our proposal, we will discount our sales prices on any future weapons you may need tanks, weapons etc.
31-12-2003, 16:55
As for ground forces, our entire military industry is focused on producing ground forces so that will probably not be an issue, however aircraft and naval units are always intresting.

I shall return with a response within 24 hours about the alliance.

King Robert Rimes, The Kingdom of the Knights of Falmir
31-12-2003, 16:58
the government of Inauna has heard about your interest in expanding your navy. If you wish, we will be glad to sell you some diesel-fuel powered submarines as a way of building up your undersea forces.
Also, we will build you an aircraft carrier, if you wish.
31-12-2003, 17:04
Yes, such a contract could be managabal, perhaps right not now but shortly shortly.

Do you have any technical specs and price estimates?
31-12-2003, 17:04
Well give you 15 free Molniya-4 missile boats.

Specs can be found at http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70845&highlight=

We have about 150 out dated stealth destroyers and patrol boats that are up for decomissioning and scrapping. We would much rather they be sent some where else so their legacy can still be represented, even if not in our Grand Fleet. By out dated, we mean they are still a force that can be used as fleet escort, or shore defense, but by our naval standard they serve no purpose as we have just developed several new escort, defense, and assualt vessels. Their stats as follows:

Stealth Destroyer:
Power Plant- Four hydrogen-nitrogen fuel cells, two shafts
Length- 490 feet
Beam- 40 feet
Displacement- 7,000 tons
Speed- 30+ knots
Aircraft- One VTOL aircraft slot
Crew- Officers: 20, Enlisted: 200
Armament- Eight cruise missile launchers; four (two double tube mounts) torpedo launchers; one five-inch lightweight gun

Stealth Patrol Boat:
Power plant- three hydrogen-nitrogen fuel cells, one shaft.
Length-245 feet
Beam-22 feet
Displacement- 4,000 tons
Speed- 45 Knots
Crew- Officers 7, Enlisted 50
Armament- Four (two double tube mounts) torpedo launcers, 1 five-inch gun (fore), 5 50 caliber machine guns in various locations.

We can sell you the lot of 150 ships for 5 billion, a deal as we usually sell both for over 250 million.
31-12-2003, 17:25
Any free ships are gratefully accepted Dark Terror we will accept them at any time at our newly Built port.

Newtdom, I feel this is a Deal i must not miss even though it will prevent me from making any further annual purchases in either my airforce or army.

The only problem is that we do not have enough facillities to provide all those ships with ports. If you could house them for a while longer while we errect larger ports and a few new naval bases we would happily purchase them all.
Central Facehuggeria

We'll give you 5 XC-1a Barracuda attack Subs
Relevent Stats:
Hardpoints: 2 (for two micro torpedo pods, or gas cannons, etc.)
Maximum Crew: 2
Size: 30 feet
Engine: Hydrogen powered Reactor with two hydrojet propellers.
Speed: 60 Knots
Armor: 10mm of Hardened Plastic reinforced with titanium at key points

Notes: Specifically designed to destroy naval assets, lacks ground attack capability. Can "skip" out of the water in a manner similar to a flying fish for short periods of time.

(Note, this is partially based on future tech)

Any free ships are gratefully accepted Dark Terror we will accept them at any time at our newly Built port.

Alright, theyre being sent with skeleton crews.
31-12-2003, 18:07
Ahh i am greatfull but i believe we will *coughs* recrew them ourselves.

Central Facehuggeria we are most gratefull, but at this time we can't purchase sustain or even harbour any more ships.

For the time being we will only accept further capitol ships, and even this will have to wait. At the moment we are constricting numerous ports to house all these ships to the wroth of several billions of dollars. We must thank all the nations who have been so generous, in counting we have probably recieved uppwards to about 300 billion dollars worth of equipment for less than a tenth of the price. This is a glorious time for the Knights of Falmir Navy.

Ahh, well we can hold them if you wish. Or we can do you one better, we have somewhat of an expertise at port construction, and dry dock construction. As a gesture of good will, we will send our First Naval Engineer battalion and have them build for you the appropriate naval stations to house such vessels. Along the same lines, we shall offer you the following:

Notice from the Emperor,
To the Knights of falmir:
Along with building of your naval stations, we offer you the ability to build your own vessels. We will build for you several manufacturing plants that shall allow you to build light, medium, and some heavy shipping. We will also offer you the ability to send your engineers to our Imperial Military University to train them in ship building. As well as that, we are more than willing to send naval engineers to help design your first vessels. We take pride in our navy, and because of that we wish to help the world have an appropriate force to defend themselves. We offer you these services for free, and hope you accept them.

His Royal Highness
Emperor Newt III
31-12-2003, 19:17
Of course you will recrew them, but when they sail to your ports well provide the skeleton crew.
31-12-2003, 19:24
Falmir, we can sell you 1000 left over Fire Tirenes from our Museum of Antiquities.

These boats are equipped with The latest in Catapult technology. Able to hold up to 4 Catapults per vessel.

We will also upgrade, free of charge, each vessel with a long range cannon capable of firing 6 rounds before being reloaded.

You chan have all this for the unbelievabley low low price of 2,000,000 dollars.

Ahh Newtdom, we would really like to accept your most gracious offer however, even if you could help us build such things, we would have no workforce to divert to these facilities. As The Knights of Falmir's military industry is 100% focused on land based production.

However we appreciate your offers of assisting us in ports production.

We will start organizing the vessels and training its crews in preparation of the ships deliverance.

Extremely Nice doing buisness with you, Robert Rimes King of The Knights of Falmir
