This rifle is great for all modern nations, new and old alike. It's a cheap infantry weapon for all those new nations, and a reliable accurate weapon for those older nations that need a good rifle.

I know a bit about war. And all of you buy these big things like Abrams and F-22's and B-2's. But you can't finish and win a war without the men on the ground. You cannot let your infantry go on with standard run of the mill weapons. Define your nation, define your troops.

Long live the infantry!

New and old alike, this is a great rifle!

Godmodding. Are you telling me that your assault rifle (Which has a rather low RoF for an "assault rifle") has a range of 3.7 kilometers, which is more than your sniper rifle's range? Anybody attempting to use this rifle would probably end up with a dislocated shoulder given the recoil that would result from firing this.

i would suggest you work on the recoil, lower it down to a normal Assault rifle recoil, than it might be good. i still would prefer an M-1 Carbine.

Please at least read the stats more carefully. For this, a maximum range means how far the bullet can go. And if you read the very next line, you see the maximum effective range, as in how far the bullet can go while still sustaining a punch to do some damage.

As for assault rifle, that was just a mistake on my part. I mean automatic (I'm sure we've all ran into the thinking one thing but typing the other type deal). In which case it's RoF matches that of the M16.

Before you say someone is godmodding, atleast help them with an incidental error, or ask a question to be sure.

I used M16A2 stats from http://www.fas.org as a basis for my rifle. As it has a similiar design, and uses the same caliber amunition.

All errors that I know of will be fixed once I create a storefront, but as of right now I haven't created enough weapons for export to create a good sized storefront.

What do you mean recoil? I didn't even mention it's (low amount) of recoil. And do you mean the M-4 Carbine, or the WWII M-1?

Bump

Even if you don't want to buy the rifle, please comment on it. I know there are probably a bunch more mistakes.

You're correct, Har-Land, this rifle would have next to no recoil. The M16, which weighs about a pound and a half less, has very little recoil, and this heavier design would have even less.

It would be good to note that, if the barrel is 20 in. long, the rifle will have a muzzle velocity of ~3300 fps using older 55-grain M193 ammunition and a muzzle velocity of ~3140 fps with newer 62-grain M855 ammunition. Shorter barrels will have significantly lower velocities. Note that, in the design of a .223cal/5.56x45mm weapon, one should NEVER use a barrel shorter than ~12.5 inches, as these will have muzzle velocities below 2700 fps. 5.56mm ammo in current military use doesn't fragment below 2700 fps. 5.56mm ammunition that doesn't fragment upon impact is notorious for small 'icepick' wounds that seldom incapacitate enemies before they have a chance to wax a few of your buddies (remember, in a combat situation, it isn't so important that an enemy eventually dies as it is that he stops shooting back NOW.) I would comment on the effective range, but I'd probably take too much flak for that.

It would be a good idea to list the operating principle (I would ruggest a short-stroke gas piston type with a rotating bolt).

Overall, the design looks good - very ergonomic, with a straightline stock and a short, enclosed flash hider.

Looks like a good assault rifle. Though, I prefer my rail rifles ...

I like the rifle and the rest of your work. I wish I had your skill. I might buy some off of you, but for now i have to keep using my own weapons.

Thank you all for the feedback. Thirtycaliber please read the TG I sent you.

@Tokarev, rail rifles would be cool, but I want to see my enemy dead, not a thousand pieces of the dead enemy lol :D

@Anarchy, thank you. But I could only dream of freehanding that entire thing. That's why you can't underestimate the power of rulers :P

@Galmorra, I'm open to any potential customers.
