The Oktober Alliance (Invite Only)

North Germania

Origin: Veisser, North Germania
To: Considered members of The Oktober Alliance
From: Reichchancellor Wilhelm Einheit, III
Subject: Terms of alliance

While perhaps I have missed the details of this alliance, I have made notes of some thoughts for basic terms:

1) All nations within The Oktober Alliance will refrain from any conflicts with one another's respective nations

2) If any nation(s) within The Oktober Alliance are attacked, all other nations within the alliance shall retaliate against the aggressor

3) If any nation(s) within The Oktober Alliance goes to war, it/they may request support from nations within The Oktober Alliance. However, if one nation goes to war on just terms (i.e. they are not attacked), they rest of the nations within the said alliance will not be required to assist

4) The Oktober Alliance shall not be limited to the invited nations, though all nations that may wish to join the alliance should be ones of creation in the month of October, the year 2003. Exceptions can be made, though the alliance should maintain that common ground and common population numbers.

I request further ideas.

The October Alliance

The October Alliance is an alliance of nations with common interests, common goals, and common ideals. The member-nations of the October Alliance will be held to high esteem and must be of notable character. They must be reliable and they must be regular to Nation-States. All member-nations will adhere to certain rules and guidelines and if they cannot then they cannot be a member of this alliance.

First and foremost, the October Alliance is an alliance of common nations. This means non-communist nations. We desire to have nations on the right side of the spectrum and thus we shall only accept such nations. Socialism and communism is the enemy of the October Alliance as well as terrorism. No terrorist nations will be tolerated.

Secondly, member-nations of the October Alliance will not support communism, terrorism, or socialism. Member-nations that do such will be expelled.

Thirdly, as an alliance we are all connected. If one nation is attacked we are all attacked. That attack can be military or terrorist but are not limited to these. Member-nations are expected to back up each other to the best of their ability whether that is with money, military equipment, or something else. Member-nations that do not help must have an extremely good reason for doing such and if not they will be expelled. Likewise, if a nation is attacked and the attacker ignores an ally of the attacked nation then they too shall be ignored. This works in the same way in reverse.

Fourthly, military equipment, with the exception of classified top secret equipment, will be available for transfer and/or sale between member-nations at a discount of 25% from their list price. Military information on other nations, especially enemies, shall not be withheld from each other. Any intelligence gained on hostile, enemy nations shall be shared immediately at no cost.

Fifthly, no member-nation of the October Alliance shall seek unwarranted war with another nation unless they have just cause. At the same time, weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear, biological, chemical, or other not listed, non-conventional weapons should not be used unless they have been used first by a hostile nation.

Sixthly, if a member-nation of the October Alliance is asked by a non-member-nation for assistance, the member-nations of the October Alliance are not responsible for backing up this nation unless they are asked or will to do so.

Seventhly, it is the duty of the October Alliance to protect freedom and conservatism and stomp out the oppression to that, which is communism, socialism, terrorism, and other orders deemed hostile to our beliefs. Any nation-state and/or alliance that is a threat to these shall be a threat to the October Alliance.

Eighthly, the enemies each member-nation shall be the enemies of everyone. This does not go for the allies of each nation.

If a nation hereby agrees to the aforementioned agreements they shall enter a trial period of thirty real-life days. After that, a vote by the founding council of the October Alliance, (nations to be listed here) shall be held. A simple majority will determine if the pending nation-state will be admitted.

This pledge shall be filled out for pending request of admittance:

I, (state name here), hereby agree to the aforementioned terms of the October Alliance. I understand that they can be changed without my notification and without my agreement. I pledge my full support to the October Alliance and its member-nations without contestation.

Did you ever get the e-mail?
By the way we can of course add those in as they see fit

I don't have a problem with any of the terms put down in the main charter drawn up by Layarteb, nor do i have problems with any of the proposals put down by North Germania, should they be added to the original charter.

I, The Dictatorship of Hirgizstan, hereby agree to the aforementioned terms of the October Alliance. I understand that they can be changed without my notification and without my agreement. I pledge my full support to the October Alliance and its member-nations without contestation.

Now in the idea of the October Alliance, we three are considered the founding council and thus equally have share upon the council and thus vote on the issues as such and on new members, etc. How does that sound to you gentlemen? Also I'll gladly put a base of operations on the Layarteb site with news, etc.

Also shouldn't we have a motto? Any suggestions?

North Germania, I have added your four things at the top to the charter I originally wrote up and well 1 - 3 are covered, different language, but the same purpose. However, I have added a ninth clause in that it is the October thing. Look good to you guys?

Yes, that sounds excellent to me.
So am i correct in saying that we all have to unanimously vote before any nation can be accepted for their trial period?
A motto eh? Any suggestions NG?
