No memorial for the Eiffel Tower?

28-12-2003, 22:03
Location: Paris, German France
Date: January 17, 2004

In the exact spot where the Eiffel tower once stood in the capital of France, now, there is a memorial for the commander[who's name is witheld]who led the attack into Paris and won for the Germans. A young French German boy with a rosary in his hand sat on a carton and looked at the memorial. He flipped through the book which on the front said "Come see France! Live and enjoy life in France". Obviously it was an old French tourism brouchure. He flipped to the middle and saw a picture of the Eiffel tower and a tear ran down his eye. A German police officer started walking towards him, his sub machine gun in Hand. The boy threw the pamphlet away and began to go home.

A memorial sounds Prudent. One must be reminded of what was won in war, if only to preserve what's left in peace.
