Rojo Cubana - 12/27/--
Rojovana (AP) - One more nation has been added to the nuclear-capable list. Earlier today, the Minister of Information of Rojo Cubana, Fidel Narajo, announced that the U.S.S.R.C. successfully detonated a nuclear device on a remote island one hundred miles off the coast of the island. Narajo was quiet on the specifics, but Minister of Defense Francisco Mendoza announced that the detonated device was one of five. Mendoza stated that the development was only for defensive purposes. No official word has been given from any other countries within the region as to their position.
After word of the test, carried out by a Cubanian Air Force B-7 bomber, reached the island's populace, various environmental groups carried out protests. The local police, already dealing with protests over nuclear power stations, called in the military, which gunned down most of the protesters. Rojo Cubanian Prime Minister Ledif Ortsac called the protesters "idiots" and dismissed reports of the government cracking down on political freedoms. "We are implementing various governmental programs to increase freedom in this great country. The protesters were killed because we believed they would decrease morale within the military. Go Communists!"
Various human rights groups denounced the killings and are calling for UN sanctions against the nation. Several nations sent replies, but the leaders of said human rights groups mysteriously disappeared before they could recieve the messages.
