Location: German - Russian Border
Date: January 7, 2004
For two whole months the media was barred from the German and Russian border. A five hundred yard barrier lined with barbwire along with military personell protected the borders and made sure no reporters snuck through. If so, they were shot on sight. Of course it rose suspicion with many people. The Russians who often expressed their feelings of the Germans on American and British t.v were the most frightened, worrying of a new German attack. But what would they do? German armistice forbade them from having a military and forbade foreign troops into Russian territory.
But that wasn't the case. On 01/07/04 the truth was shown. The army unveiled the new defenses which protected the "DMZ"(Demilitarized Zone). The Ministry of War had made the huge announcement to the Fuhrer and the rest of the German political machine on the day before in the German chancellory. Excerps from the speech:
"We are happy to report that Project: Reload was an absolute success. The new, if you want to call it, DMZ is now fully revitalized with much more equipment. We've discussed the issue with the Ministry of Economic Affairs on the cost of the project and it was settled at a mere thirty billion dollar project. The point of the project was to increase and re-secure our defenses along the coast with the Russians. Although we do not fear a militaristic strike from Russia, it still is nessasary. Our friends in The Reich have helped us and armed us with the most advanced border defense technology of today. We will be using such defenses as the Gatekeeper Anti-Ground Fixed Defense Turret, the Defender Anti-Air Fixed Defense Gun and the Shadowcaster Fixed Heavy Artillery Platform."
The minister went on about other issues concerning the border.
