High tech defense mechanism

Holy Panooly's scientists have developed a tower that uses electricity as a defensive tool. Though still in an experimental phase we are sure that there won't be much trouble before we can start making those to protect our regions open borders. Apart from defense it's also a good investment to guard roads and other important trading routes, as well as narrow sea passages. The range isn't very long but with the latest improvements it can go up to 3 KM with the right adjustments.

The price is for the technology and all the associated things. It's high but you'll get the highest quality.

Will you agree to sell the production rights to us (non-commercial purposes)? If so, name your price.

How does it use electricity as a defence tool?

the production rights are a one time 29.000.000 tax free and you may do with it what you want

to the other person: it shoots giant sparks of electricity to a group or single targets.
26-12-2003, 20:26
There's no way this could have been inspired by Tesla Coils from Red Alert, is there? Hehehe... All jokes aside though, I'd like to know when you plan on making the prices realistic. It seems like a great product but it's way too expensive.

If it is suppose to shoot lightning than this is not a good idea
Holy panooly
26-12-2003, 20:28
it's even more powerful that ordinary lightning and thanks to the high amp normal lightningpoles will become too hot or they even melt.

the price is a typo, it'll be fixed now

as for the metal, it's a defensive tool and like any other electro-magnet it can be turned on and off.

How do you control what it hits? Electrcity doesn't have IFF worries.

29 million is not much for such device and yes I took it from red alert :P

you have some control of where you aim. the globe on top isn't one 1 big battery it has 5 points from where you can shoot, thus it can't circle all around it.

Still, some control isn't enough with the power you're talking about... Far too risky for our use..

Oh I thought it was 290 million...silly me.  I must not have been paying enough attention. Incidentally, I'd like 500. Money wired.

It is high, but not highest quality. An over-sized Tesla Coil, costing a few thousand dollars to make, is stronger, and need no operators except someone to flip the switch.

have you seen the size? it's not a thing that fits into a small garden...

What I'm saying, is that for a few thousand dollars, you could make a tesla coil that size, which would be much better.

the research to make the coil safe cost a lot of money... a few thousand dollar wouln't cover all expenses
